I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Just wanted to let you know that I gave birth to Kevin on 2-3-08. After dialating to a 10 and pushing for 2 hours..I ended up w/ an emergency c-sec. So I was sore in both places. Lovely. But my baby is totally healthy and other than a total lack of sleep, I am starting to feel much more like myself.

How are you and the baby doing?

Congratulations!! I am so happy for you! You were meant to have a c-section after all. :) He sounds like he is perfect! I hope you are feeling better soon! I had my membranes stripped today - so I will see if anything comes of that.

i am having a repeat c-sect, and i noticed with my first surgery I had the shivers too, it was definitely the spinal/epidural. And they NEVER gave me any stool softener or told me about using it, boy did I suffer three days later when my bowels were back to normal ;-I

3 days to go for you. How exciting! It sounds like you are in good hands with your DH. You have a chihuaha how cute...we have a pit bull (my husband's dog from before we even knew one another). He is almost 70 pounds and thinks he's a lap dog too. Not fun :)

My mom & mother-in-law have both offered to help take care of my 2 yr old for the 1st couple of weeks after I deliver. My hubby has been working 7 days a week so I don't know how much help he is going to be. I would love for him to take some time off..but w/ me not getting paid any materninty leave we really need the money. Well good luck again you are almost there!

I just wanted to wish you luck w/ your c. Before you know it your little one will be here! I am so jealous!! Nothing is happening here. I also wanted to share with you that everyone I know who has had a c-section(sister-in-law, mom, other family members, friends..etc)
swear that it is wonderful. They even said the recovery was faster than w/ a natural birth. I totally understand opting for a c-sec with your concerns. At least you will be able to sit down right away. I hope you have a nice speedy recovery. Make sure that your hubby understands that you had major surgery and that you will need him to be your slave and bring you breakfast in bed :)

I am so ready to have my little guy. I feel like I'm as big as a house! I am doing well otherwise..have a dr's appt set for this Fri am. So I guess I will see what they say. It looks like you are scheduled for a c-section? How come?

Wow the 23rd, that's awesome, I'm so jealous! Let me know how it goes and congrads...I understand about the weight gain, I try soooo hard and do everything perfectly but I still go in weighing more....grrrrr!!!! Well keep me posted!

I saw your comment on the C-Section Forum
I bled for 7 weeks, but it never was heavy. I think they got most of the stuff that would come out in clots if you were to have a vaginal delivery, out during the C-Section. Some days I would just spot and some days it would be just a light bleed.

Thanks for the comment. I do get really sick from penicllin, and I'm also allergic to erythromycin. HAHA So I guess I have to get the vandomycin.

It's so funny I was just thinking today if I have the baby by the end of this month, that gives me 4-5 good months to get in shape for summer. I miss wearing normal clothes. I don't know about you but I acquired some pretty nasty spider veins w/ this pregnancy and I just hope they go away on their own. Otherwise it looks like I will have a date with a laser. :)

I really don't know what to expect. I had my 1st one at 38 weeks (which would be next week w/ this one)..but I just talked to someone who had their 2nd 16 days late! I can't even imagine. As it stands now, my dr will induce at 40 weeks if the baby hasn't come on its own. So worst case is about 21 days. I guess I can make it that long :)

Hope you had a Great Holiday! I was just at Central Dupage yesterday - my Husband's Grandmother had an annuerism (sp?). It is a great hospital. I'm sure they will let you have some champagne in your room. Can you believe how close we are getting - it could be any day now!

Thanks I don't think he does have a clue. Overall he is supportive his standards are just more relaxed than mine. :)

Hi! Well first off I want to say Congrats!!!! I just read your comment and you sound exactly like me....I can't sleep sound no matter how I lay, Im always tossing and turning. I am trying to stay on my side because I heard that your not suppose to lay on your stomach or back now, but I always wake up on my back...ugghhhh. Well Ill let you know if I find anything that helps:)
