Baby arrived 14th April 2008, weighing 8lb's 14oz. He was a very long baby thou lol.

We have named him Kris Robert James Reilly and boyo can he eat :). I am breast feeding for the first time but finding it really tiring so I'm not sure how long I'm gonna do it for.

Kris is the absolute spitting image of my daughter Morgan-Jo when she was born. Same mass of dark hair. But he seems to cling to me more than MJ did (probably because of the breasts lol)

I am tired (did I mention that) but enjoying it. xxx

Now that tax season is over, maybe I can actually have time to update my site. Those 65 hr work weeks just about killed me! All is well though!

Hi!

Congratulations on the beautiful baby!

I'm due to have my baby this Thursday by planned C-section, and am REALLY scared as I've never had any type of operation or anything before. I'd love to hear from you if you can spare 5 minutes from that lovely bundle! Lol. Am I right to be so scared or am i being a wuss??

XXXXX

After I was put on bedrest, I have not kept up with the page. Sorry. Actually, I am going in today at 9 am to have my baby. I had an amnio done yesterday and everything looked great. I am so NERVOUS! I have had a c-section before but I was asleep. I got maybe 3 hours of sleep and I was not able to drink anything. I am sooooo THIRSTY. I may have to cheat a little. I hope everything is going well. Just keep me and my family in your thoughts and I will let you know how Baby Bubba and I do. (We still don't have a name).

ps..
I read that you had to see a specialist and you found out you will have to have a c section, what tyoe of specialist did you see and how could they tell they were splitting? x-ray??. I honestly dont agree with my doctor when he says this is normal.

im still having tons of pelvic pain, sleeping is the worst- if i could i'd stay awake all day/night just so i wouldnt have to suffer from all the pain in bed, trying to roll over and getting up KILLS me! I thought baby was coming 2 nights ago, contractions for about 4 hrs but they were never consistant. Now im cool as a cucumber- lol
How about you?

tiffini - Tuesday, 1 Apr
I'm doing great. A lot of energy considering I am working 60 hr weeks until April 15th. Had sono yesterday and they gave us a 3D picture. She is growing, moving & shaking. Weighs 1lb - of course I'd like to know where all the other weight is going....haha.

Thanks for your continued encouragement.

Your almost there!

spinal epi so not a big deal, don't be affraid.. after I got mine, i told the doctor that I loved him because he made the intense pain go away! don't worry about it.. you can't even feel it! hope this helps.. emily

I had an epidural with my first pregnancy and a spinal with my second. I didn't look at the needle which was probably a good thing LOL; they did a really good job of numbing around the area first so I barely felt anything when they stuck me. The spinal worked great during my c-section, it just took a little longer for it to work than expected (20-30 minutes). I didn't feel any pain during the operation, just a LOT of pulling. The 'hit by a bus' part came after the operation. Ugh. I was in a lot of pain in the recovery room and had to go on a morphine drip but that took the pain away for me.

if you can do it naturally, i think you have nothing to fear lol. i had a epidural with my son, i was scared too, but they numb arounf the area b4 puting the epidural in. so you dont feel the needle at all!!!

I had a spinal/epidural that my anesthesiologist referred to as the Cadillac of all Epidural's. I did not like not being able to feel the lower half of my body at all, but it was manageable discomfort. I was perfectly fine afterward. However, I did not have a C-section, so my recovery from the spinal did not include feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. It is having it put in that is difficult, once that is over (and it happens very quickly) you should feel just fine as far as that is concerned. I wish you the best of luck and I hope your recovery goes very smoothly.

Metallic purple...that sounds really fun. My little girl and the baby are gonna share a room for awhile, they'll only be 19 months apart so it isn't a big deal for now. We don't own our house right now either and it's easier to have all in one room for now. I painted it a pale green, it's so cute.

A little bit over a month now and we'll be moms of 2...can you believe it? I have my baby shower next Sunday, the 16th...I'm so excited!!! We're having a couples party...although it's more so gonna be the girls inside, and the guys outside by the fire drinking and causing trouble...it'll be fun.

havana*luna - Monday, 3 Mar
ohh really??? im so scared cuz if im not able to walk or even move how am i going to be able to have him vaginally??? this pain is horrible ive been having it for 2months now! thank god that my mom is coming down this weekend to help me move around cuz i cant even go to the bathroom or take a shower without crying! do u think i should talk to my dr about this? cuz i told the nurses at the hosp and they keep telling me that its normal because the baby is too low and that theres nothing they can do about it! but how am i going to be able to deliver him if i cant move???? im sooo depressed!

havana*luna - Friday, 29 Feb
hey hun everything went ok...i was still 2cm and the contractions were still coming strong so they decided to give me a higher dose of procardia to help with the contractions and some other pills to help the baby with infections just incase he decides to come out early...i was also put on strict bed rest...im having an us on 3/10 and i go back to L&D on the 12th to check for any progress...but im really hoping he stays in there until im 36wks or so.... anyways how are u doing?

tiffini - Friday, 29 Feb

gonnabeamommyx2 - Wednesday, 27 Feb
OH my goodness. So exciting...wow, April 17th...hmm, must be nerve wracking too huh? I know I've been crazy lately. I spent last night having major contractions all night. Between 2-3 an hour but crazy painful...from about 11:30 to 4 this am. Haven't had any since than but was definatly concerned...still a bit early but I have a doc's appt. tomorrow so I'll discuss it with her. I feel like I could pop anytime...never felt like this with my daughter. Ugh. Anyway...how exciting for you, it's so close!!!
