The bebe sounds that I have is not the "top of the line" model I guess you could say... I know they sell some that play cd's or whatever and that is not the version that I have. I have used it at all different times during the day and it has worked every time. I just make sure that the room is quiet and I push the monitor into my belly instead of just resting it on there. I keep the volume fairly low. Good luck finding your little girls heartbeat at home!

i was brushing my teeth the other day.... had horrible heartburn.. gagged and than threw up immediately into the sink... i have been terrified to brush my teeth this morning (dont worry i havnt had to see anyone yet!) because i have the heartburn again and i just know i will throw up again!
