Hi there!!! My name is Katy, I am 22 years old. I was married on February 26th, 2007. I found out I was pregnant in October of 2007 after a few months of trying for a baby. We had complications early in pregnancy resulting in the loss of one of the twins I was carrying. The rest of my pregnancy was pretty normal. We welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Addison Dawn on June 27th, 2008. Weighing 7 lbs, 9 oz and 21 inches long. I absolutly love this site, I have met many great people here. I dont think I could have kept sane during pregnancy without some of my great friends on here!!! I have recently deleted my pregnancy blogs and pictures to start my new life as a mommy, so my page will now consist with new pics and blogs about her.

Hey there! Everything here is going good! I'm steadily healing from my infection (which turned out to be staph by the way), and Tony is doing great! He's already eating 6oz at one time, and eats every 4 hours. He's gonna be a big boy!!! I can't believe your little one is being so stubborn lol! I'll be looking forward to pics

LOL I hope Jay is ready for this!! I think he's quite wide eyed, but he's been so awesome and affectionate... I think he'll be okay - I did make it clear to him though that I don't expect him to be in there all the time - if he feels he can't handle or has to step out, then it's all good and I won't hold it against him lol - poor thing.

Sheesh girl, you must be so uncomfortable and tired. Alas, I'm not even in early labour... just a whole lot of BH and the occasional almost period-like ache, but no actual contractions, false or otherwise *sigh*... I'm repacking my hospital bag tonight, and will have it at the front door ready to go - I packed so long ago at this stage I can't even recall now whether I have everything I need, so need to do a stock-take lol.

Thinkig of you and much labour dust to you - hopefully both our lil ones will be here soon!! Ah honey I'm so thrilled for you! Good news on the possibility of a complication free, normal delivery! Fingers crossed that your little girl hangs in there for another week so your DH can get these shifts out of the way!

All is well on this side... I was up at 4:45 this morning for reasons unknown... I guess the fact that the sun comes up then now has a lot to do with it, so I did the ironing, made DH lunch for work, cleaned house... so I think that today will be nice and relaxing, since I've done everything I needed to do! I have a few computer games with my name on them for today, so very lazy, like old school holidays! LOL

Hi honey! the baby clothes-washing is thankfully done! Unfortunately it's all sitting in the basket now, just waiting for a quick press, then into the changing unit it goes... I'm terrible though, I'm the kind of person who will spend an entire day arranging and rearranging the drawers in the dresser, constantly finding "better" ways of packing LOL. Sheesh. So we'll see how long THAT takes.

Anyway I hope you're keeping well, and hope to catch up soon!

Well my water broke last wed. morning and i had my precious baby girl wed.5/21/08 at 7:33pm, it is sooo wonderful girl i love being a mommie, it amazing how u fall in love with ur new baby. I will have my birth story posted in a couple of days.

ah wonderful news on your baby shower! Always a bit nerve wracking, wondering if you'll get what you need! So pleased to hear! In South Africa we would have had a baby shower, but out here it's not custom at all... the custom is to buy a gift AFTER the baby is born, which kind of makes sense, except that we now HAVE everything we need, which we've bought ourselves (and sorely indebted ourselves for), so what we'll get from the family when he's here I don't know... probably more clothes! I must say I went a bit overboard on the little short sleeved undervests... The kid will have outgrown them before I'm halfway through!

finally started washing baby's things today! Beginning to feel more ready lol. I also bought baby's first photo album yesterday, one with slide-in pockets, so I can put in his scans first (I've heard that the sticky-page albums affect the ink on the scans and make them disappear!)... and I really want to get one of those little hand/foot print photo frames, with the pic of the baby in the middle and the little hand and foot prints on either side. I always thought they were terribly kitsch and cliched until I fell pregnant myself! lol

All is well otherwise! I'm hoping the lil guy hangs in there for another couple of weeks, as I've booked two nights away for J and I next weekend as a belated birthday gift to him - I'd hate to have to cancel it! I am getting some crampiness in the early mornings though... I think it will be a day labour. He's active at night, but most of that "uh-oh" crampy feeling definitely happens between about 4 and 6 am.

Anyway, maybe you will have baby news before me! He seems quite comfortable where he is for the moment! lol

Hi hon! Yeah, I also feel like I'm forgetting something... I find myself unpacking and repacking, and rechecking constantly... probably for the best since I've just bought my THIRD travel toothpaste for my hospital bag... I can never remember that I've already bought it! LOL So we are now stocked on toothpaste at home at least :P

Been feeling good otherwise... a lot of pelvic pressure and I think he has dropped already as I'm nice and soft at the top of my abdomen... no more little feet in the ribcage... tired, but also feeling like a million dollars... in gold (to account for the weight!). Heavy but happy :)

hi oh well sounds like your baby has settled head down! means your a bit closer to having her! im just waiting for the warning signals now! went to midwife on tuesday she said well if you get any really painful contractions give us a ring! oh yeah thank s for that i said laughing! yeah it is painful but well worth all the pain! anyway keep me posted and good luck in the mean tine x
