ADD MY MYSPACE IF YOU WANT TO SEE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF BRYANNA!
Hey everyone!
My name is Kim-- my husband and I have been married since July 2, 2005. We are expecting our first on Nov. 19!!! We lost one earlier this year and were pleasantly suprised to find out we were pregnant again, within a month. Neither time were we trying, but it is a great suprise and we couldn't be happier. I am going to college full time and working, so I am a busy bee. My husband just got out of active Army and is now National Guard and working full time. I love all these mommy sites so I can meet with people who have the same due dates. CAN'T WAIT TO MEET MORE MOMMIES TO BE!!!

October 13th
I decided to start adding a weekly update on how Bryanna is doing, since I won't be doing a weekly pregnancy update :) Today we had a wonderful day. It was bath day!!! I am not a good bath giver. The nurse told me I was too slow and making her too cold. I can't help it I didn't want to miss anything. We tried to do the breast today, but I think she just had too big of a day. She did a good breast feeding this morning, but this nite she just fell asleep. But after we attempted breastfeeding tonite we decided to try a bottle and she sucked it down. So at least she is getting how to use a bottle....as long as she's getting breast milk I don't care how she gets it. She also got moved to a big girl crib...no more incubator!!! Everything is going good for little bean, we just have to master eating on our own and then she should be on her way. She also is a poop machine!!! Today I was changing one and was right about to finish up when she decided to go again...at least I had a diaper underneath her :) She's a poop machine. I was only there twice and I did 5 poopie diapers today. That's okay, pooping helps to lower her billy level(jaundice level). Well we may be going back out there tonite and hopefully daddy will get to feed her. Well I am going to post a bunch of pictures so enjoy...I know I enjoy this bean!

What a sleep girl? She loves her daddy!

October 15th
Today was a great day for beanie...her feeding tube came out! She is now off her schedule and just feeding whenever she wants it. The nurse actually told us that if she keeps up with the feeding and gaining weight she could be home in a couple of days. I can't believe that she could be here this weekend. It makes me a little nervous and excited. Keep your fingers crossed for us that she keeps up the good work. She also gets her pictures taken tomorrow, she's such a pretty girl without her feeding tube. Well she was pretty before, but it's so nice to see her face with no tubes.
October 21st
If you don't know already Bryanna's home! She's been home for 5 days now and we are still getting the hang of things. We went to the peditrician Friday and Bryanna is doing great. She now weighs a whopping 6lbs 4oz!!! That's already larger than her birth weight. I still can't believe that I have my little beanie home a month before she was even suppose to be born. I still look at her and think, "I can't believe that she came out of me." It's so weird :) Well today she had her first bath and poor beanie, mommy and daddy are not good bath givers! Here are some pictures of her in the hospital and then at home. Enjoy....(i'll add pictures later, hubby is pressuring me to get off! men)
October 23rd
Okay I am finally going to add more pictures! Man I never realized how busy you get when you have a baby. Sometimes I wish I could put her back in for a day :) All I have to do is look at that cute little face and it makes everything all better. Anywho...heres the pictures, let see if I can get them all posted before she wakes up.
Daddy's first poopy diaper! haha

I love this picture!!!!
Look mommy no tubes.
My Mini Me
We're Home!!!! FINALLY!
November 3rd- 1 MONTH OLD!!!
So my weekly updates are a little more like biweekly :) Today we had Bryanna's monthly check up. She already weighs a whopping 7lbs 3oz. meaning she gained almost a whole pound in 2 weeks. I'm so proud!!! She's still only in the 10% for weight and 30% for height...that's not adjusted to her prematurity though. She's also grown. She was born at 18 1/2in., 2 week appt. 19 1/2in., and then monthly was 20 1/2in. Other than that she is doing perfect. At her next appt she is going to have to get three shots and an oral vaccine...poor little bean. I still can't believe how much that little bean grows everyday. Well i'd love to write more but i'm being paged for food :) I'll post some 1 months pictures this week.
November 16th
Just thought i'd stop by and add some new pictures of Bryanna. They're all one month pictures. We're doing good and growing more everyday!

December 11th
I haven't updated in a long time! So I figured I would since I have time. Bryanna is doing great. At her last appointment on Friday she weighed 9#5oz. Even though she is a preemie the doctor isn't doing adjusted weights on her because she is so big. We had Christmas pictures taken recently, i'll post some. She is doing GREAT holding up her head and she is such a wiggle worm. One time after she was crying and I went to get her she was al the way up at the top of her crib :) She still isn't sleeping through the nite, but we're getting there. Here's some new pics...
March 2, 2008
Hey all! It's been a long time since i've updated this page, so I thought it was about time. Bryanna is now fastly approaching 5 months. She eats baby food, smiles & laughs all the time, and overall is a GREAT baby. She shows no signs of delay from being a preemie and is basically treated just like she was born on her normal due date. I really couldn't be happier with my little beanie. Well I really don't know what else to add....if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Now here are a few cute pictures.
Mmm...peas please!

I love my bumbo!
Mommy & Me (My fav. pictures)
May 21st- 7 months
It's been a whole, so I thought i'd update everyone on Bryanna. She has no teeth still and I don't think she'll get any any time soon. She gets up on all fours and rocks, but is now learning to sit back up on her own instead of crawling :) I think she's gonna be one of the babies who goes from sitting to walking, no crawling. She does army crawl a short way for toys. She loves to play with balls and frogs. She only weighs a little over 17 pounds(which is good for a preemie). She's just getting over a yeast infection, ear infection, and a cold...my poor little baby. Here are some recent pictures of her:
July 11th, 2008- 9 months
It's been a while since i've posted so here's an update. Bryanna is now 9months old and is approx 19lbs and 28in. She still has no teeth and doesn't seem to want to cut any time soon. She's a crawler and a cruiser. She loves to stand(with support) and attempts to let go :) She has a push toy and can walk with that really good...like a little peg leg. We think she might be an early walker (especially for being a preemie). She eats like a piggy; she loves everything from veggies to fruits. Her favorite is sweet potatoes. She still is lazy and won't hold her bottle or even try, but I guess it'll come in time. She enjoyed the fireworks and didn't cry at all. I think that's pretty much all I have to update. Feel free to ask questions about ANYTHING. You can also add my myspace above, I post TONS of pictures and videos on there. Here are a couple of pics:

May 5th
Well today is week 12...yeah! I just can't wait for this week to be done and I am out of my 1st trimester. I get to go to the doctor in two weeks, too, and I can't wait to hear the heart beat again. I love my little peanut. Today I bought baby bedding cause it was a great deal, but keeping the receipt just in case it's a girl :) Either way I just can't wait to meet my little bean.....28 weeks and counting!!!
May 10th
Just another day in week 12. I can't wait till my next appointment in less than two weeks. I just want to hear my little babies heart beat and hear that everything is alright, not that I am worried or anything. Sometimes I think about it and I think November isn't that far away and then other times I am like OMG November is so far away :) I guess I will just have to keep counting the days. School will make it go faster, but my grades are hurting since I can't concentrate on school. Oh well...I love my little bean.
May 17th
It feels so good to be in my 2nd trimester....sometimes I think a little too good. I haven't had much "morning" sickness in a while, but still peeing constantly and always tired. Nothing has happened for me to worry, but yet I still worry :) I have my next doctor appt. on Tuesday and can not wait to hear the heart beat again!!! I just need to hear it to know everything is going good, which I am sure its but you know. I also purchased an intelligender test online after reading about a few other ladies that tried on this site. It's 90% accurate and only cost $38 bucks, so even if it's wrong...not a big waste :) I can't wait to get it to see the results. Sometimes I feel like I am having a boy, then others a girl...today a boy. hehe If any of you have tried, let me know how it went. Well I will let ya'll know how my next prenatal visit goes...cross your fingers for good news :) Oh yeah, I also start my summer courses next week, yippy!
May 22nd
Well I had an exciting day today. First I took my intelligender test and it came out boy!! Which I really feel like I am having....well see in 4-5 weeks. Then I got to go to the doctor and hear my babies heart beat again. I love hearing it :) I get to go back in two weeks, which I am excited about because I will get to hear the heart beat again, and get some blood work done. Then after that I will probably come back in another two weeks and find out the sex!!! I can't wait for that. I just can't wait till I get to meet my little bean....it's seems like it's so far away, but I guess 26 weeks isn't that far away right. Plus I have school and other things to keep me busy. OH YEAH, I have been peeing aaallllllllllllllllllll all the time...now I know why. When my doctor was looking for the heart beat she had to go really low and the baby was basically sitting on my blatter. Thank you little bean! Now I must go pee :P
June 5th(16weeks, 1 day)
Well I went to the doctor today to get some blood work done. I got to hear the heart beat again....which I love! And it was at 150. I told her about some pains I have been having in my pelvis area and she didn't make a big deal about it at all....just said, "you're growing." She told me everything sounded good! I am so excited and still can't believe that I am really going to have a baby. I still constantly worry about something happening...I don't think I will be like OMG I have a baby till I actually have a baby in my arms!!! I also got to schedule my u/s to find out the sex!! I could go as early as the 18th of this month, but I have to wait till the 28th so that my hubby can come. It's are first, so I guess I gotta be nice and wait :) I just want to find out so bad!!!!! Well 23 days and counting till the 28th!!!! Hopefully these weeks will go by fast. Hope -everything is going great with all you mommies and your beans :)
June 14 (17w,4d)
Everything is going good with my and the bean. Sometimes I feel like I felt the baby move, but maybe it's just wishful thinking. I just can't wait till I can feel the baby move from the outside :) I get to find out my bean's sex in less than two weeks!!! I can't wait. It will be the first time my husband and I have seen are baby. So far we've only gotten to hear the heart beat, which is always wonderful to hear. I have so much on my mind lately. I am going to be due while I am in school next semester, so I am really nervious about something going wrong or me really screwing up my GPA. I can't take the semester off because I only have a year and a half left. I am just hoping I have a good smooth last trimester, with understanding teachers. I guess that is a little far off to worry about too, may be I just need to relax :) Has anyone else been in college, pregnant, and due during a semester? I think I can do it cause I have a supportive family and hubby. Back to bean...it is so hard to just sleep on my left side. I often sleep on my right side or a few minutes on my back. Guess I will have to break that habit soon as my uterus gets bigger. Oh well...
I love that little baby :) I will keep ya guys posted on my next appt, hope all is good with my fellow mommies to be!!!
June 28th
Well today's the big day!!!! I am so excited and nervous. I am excited to see my little bean moving around and to find out what I am having. But I am also nervous. This is are first ultrasound and I am so scared that something will be wrong. I am trying to stay positive and not worry until I have to. I just really can't wait to see what's been growing in me. I can't imagine...Right now it's just like yeah I am pregnant, but after today I will have a little face to this flutters :) I sure hope my little boy or girl isn't shy. Well keep your fingers crossed that everything is okay.
UPDATE- JUNE 28TH
IT'S A GIRL!!! Can you believe it?! I thought FOR SURE it was going to be a boy. Even though it's not, I honestly could not be happier. I think a little girl is the perfect addition to our family. My husband always wanted a girl first, but also thought I was having a boy. I think he is really getting into the fact that we are having a little girl-- because today after our u/s we went to order our crib set and he picked out some girlie bedding he liked :) I am just on cloud nine, I am so happy. Oh yeah, everything was perfectly fine with our bean. I kept asking the tech, everything looked okay right? And even at the end I made sure to ask if everything looked alright and she said it looked great! I am so happy that baby is health and definatly going to be pretty to pink. I kept saying I love that little kidney, I love that little spine, whatever she was pointing out. She is so beautiful, I am even more in love than I was. Her name will be:
BRYANNA MARIE
Not sure how to spell Brianna yet, but that's definatly going to be our bean's name. I love her!!! Gosh I hope these next 20 weeks fly!!!! I want to hold my little girl.
TELL ME SHE'S NOT BEAUTIFUL :)
July 10th
I had my monthly appointment yesterday and it went really quick. We came in, peed, did the weigh in, found the heart beat, asked a few questions, and were gone. It's always great to hear her heartbeat and the doctor could tell she was moving around while trying to listen to it. I've only gained 6lbs, total, this whole pregnancy. But they always say that you gain more weight the second half of your pregnancy. My next appointment is in a month and then after that the fun gluclose testing!! Yummy, i've heard such great things.
These past few days I have been really feeling her moving around. I actually got to feel her kick on the outside, but it takes some patients to get her to kick there. Hopefully in the next few days she'll be kick more on the outside. Yesterday I swear she was doing somersaults. It's great to feel her pratically everyday, great reassuarnce. It's like her saying, "Hey mommy i'm still in here!" We went shopping yesterday too and bought her some really cute outfits! One said...."My HEART Belongs to Daddy" You know who loved that one :)
It feels so good to be more than half way done! Not that I don't enjoy being pregnant, I just want to see her so bad! I actually have been feeling really good lately. The only thing that has been bothering me is feeling faint and weak ALL the time. I feel like a beast. I walk upstairs and I feel out of breath. I swear I am not a beast..hehe. Well next week I have to start my second summer session class at 7:45am!!! Not excited about that, but it makes time go quicker...which equals baby here quicker!!! All I can say is I LOVE MY LITTLE BRY SO MUCH ALREADY!!!
July 14th
Everyday seems to be getting more and more exciting. I have felt Bryanna kick a couple of times from the outside, but hubby never has. Well the other day, we were laying in bed and she was moving like crazy so I had him put his hand where she was. And he got to feel her kick like 4 times...good kicks too. I could tell he really enjoyed, he got a huge smile on his face. I love now being able to feel her move around. I can feel her move all the time-- when i'm standing, laying, doing anything! It's really exciting to just feel her flippin' and kickin' around in there. She is definatly active all times of the day. After seeing her and feeling her more, I just can't wait to actually have her in my arms!!! My hubby is talking to my belly more too now, I think after he got to feel her kick it's getting more exciting for him. Hurry up November!!!!
August 8th (25wks, 2days)
Nothing too exciting going on here. We went to the doctor Monday. I have gained a total of 13lbs. I finally broke the double digits :) Bryanna kept moving on the doctor when she would find her heart beat, but everything sounded good. I get to go back next week to do my gluclose testing...yummy!!! Maybe it won't be that bad. My summer session of school ends this week, which I can't wait for....no more waking up at 5:30am to sit in a finance class, what a snore! Then I get a month of and Fall semester of school starts. Hopefully all this busyness will make November get here faster. I am having my baby shower soon...11days! I am really excited about that. I keep cheating at looking at my registery to see if people have bought anything! My aunt dropped off her present early and it was a bassinet from Target. So of course I put that together and played with it last night. I wasn't going to originally keep the baby in my room, but since hubby will be working 3rd shift, I figure it will just be easier to just have her in the same room as me. I should really be studying right now, but I am so bored. I rather stay on here and surf the net. Oh my doctor also said that my hubby and I can schedule are lamaz classes and stuff like that, I am excited about that. I am going to make him come with me to the breastfeeding class! Hopefully he won't be the only one there. Well I guess I shall study....i'll update ya next week after my gluclose appt.
September 4th (29weeks)
It's been way too long since i've updated it...I have so much to talk about. I had my first baby shower August 19th. It went great, tons of stuff!!!!! Then I had my monthly appointment August 27th. I've gained 17lbs total and measured 31cm...3 more than how many weeks I am. I was almost boarderline for my gluclose test, but they didn't make me retest. Then after my appointment, my husband and I went down to Missouri for the week. I had another baby shower there, on September 1st. Bryanna's gotten so many blankets, clothes, nookies, and so on!!! I have SO much stuff to siff through and I start school this Wed. Talk about a full plate....I have a feeling these next few months are going to fly by. Bryanna is constantly on the move. I swear she likes to just sit under my ribs. Sometimes she is moving so much I feel like a pinball machine...it makes me sick. Of course she has her down days, but lately she's been on the move :) Hope everyone else is having a great pregnancy. I should stop slacking and get some belly shots up.
BIRTH STORY
I went into the doctor's office on September 27th because I thought that I had ruptured my water. Sure enough I was leaking amniotic fluid and I was immediately sent to the hospital. There I sat on bed rest for over a week. I was set to be induced today, Monday Oct. 8th, but Bryanna had other plans. On friday(Oct. 5th) nite at around 11pm I started really noticing some cramping, but was able to sleep through it. Then at 2am I woke up and the cramping had gotten worse. I decided to page the nurse. She monitored me and the contractions were definatly there. She started some IV to see if that would help them go away, but they just continued on. By about 5am they were really getting bad and the nurse suggested I call my husband and let him know. My stepmom came and sat with me until my husband arrived. They say I started true labor at about 7am when I had my first cervix check--I was 3-4cm, 90% effaced, and baby was at a 0 station. From then on I labored until about 7pm when I was ready to push. Even though I was ready, we had to wait for the doctor. He finally arrived at 7:45pm and I was ready to push. Pushing was an experience I can't begin to explain, I was a horrible pain. At 8:11pm Bryanna was born. She was a lot larger than all of us expected. She was 6.12lbs and 18 1/2 inches. Currently Bryanna is in the NICU. She is breathing on her own and has been from the beginning, which is wonderful!!!! She has some jaundice and needs assistance feeding. We are hoping she be home within two weeks...all she needs to prove is that she can eat on her and is gaining weight. Keep my little bean in your prayers and I will keep you posted on my kid's page about her progress.
