Well, I'm getting a late start at this but oh well! This is my first baby and we are waiting to find out what we are having. It has been fun but sometimes very hard too. I just can't wait for the moment when the doctor goes "Its a GIRL/BOY!!" We still aren't set on a boy's name so it just better be a girl. I am due 2 days after my only neices's 1 year B-Day so we are hoping to be a couple days early. Best of luck to all you other moms out there!
Jan: 24 ~ Ok, so I'm sitting here at work wondering if I can make it another week here without calling in sick everyday until I have the baby. I plan on working up until I go into labor, but sitting on the couch relaxing is sounding better and better! 39 weeks today. I had my first dream last night that was about our baby's sex. I haven't dreamt about it at all until now. I dreamt we were having a boy and when I told Jeff that this morning he said it must mean we are having a girl because I'm always wrong! Such support! I love him to death though and am so thankful that he is the father of my child and I know he will be an amazing dad! I don't know where I would be without him and when I think about what my life could have been if he wasn't around I have to fight back tears. I am also going to try to enjoy these last few days of being prego, even though I can hardly wait any longer, because I know my life will never ever be the same once baby is here!

I'm giving up bf this week and feel so sad and confilcted. i want to keep doing it but it was had because i was only pumping anyway, and my supply went down to just 6oz a day if i was lucky. are you bf still?
i wish i could shake the guilt! i'll feel even worse in a month or so when i have to start work again!

yeah, I think the 'lack' of quality time is going to take some getting used to for sure. but, I guess they'll be staying up later as the months go on, so maybe we can squeeze in time then!

Erica is the same and loves her bathtime! I love the new picture of Riley, hes grown so much!! Did you enjoy your first mothers day? Over here ours was at the beginning of March. Its amazing how quickly they grow and how each day they seem to be able to do something new! We're doing well. Took Erica to the osteopath yesterday and it has seemed to help her. The osteopath reckons that it should only take about 2 to 3 sessions to sort her out, so hopefully soon I'll have a happy little lady!!

it was so weird, lol! honestly the hardest thing was actually walking out the door -- once I got to work, there was a lot of distracting things to do. it's funny that you're out for so long, but everything's the same, it's like you never left. did you find that, too?

yeah, i've been getting weepy during the day, lol, and I hope that getting the tears out now will help me when i'm actually in the office. apart from needing to work financially, i'm not cut out to be a housewife either, tho I adore being a mom. so it's for the best and what I hope will happen is that the time we do spend together will be all the more special. thanks so much for the feedback -- I appreciate it :)

Yeah, finally got round to putting a picture up! Although it has been stretched. lol. Not sure how you unstretch it cos I think it automatically resizes it. Thanks, don't feel so great at the moment, am exhausted after a few nights of her not sleeping!! I'm sure Riley will like it, apparently babies are meant to like the freedom it gives them...I'll let you know if thats true when we've taken Erica!

Belated thanks for the congrats...the first two weeks have been so crazy! Harder than I ever imagined, but not in a bad way. Of course Sophia can date Riley, but after seeing his adorable smile, I suspect he'll be beating the girls away with a stick!

We live near the sea so thought it would be good for Erica to be able to swim (although we don't really have much of a beach or the weather for it!). Although after letting me book and pay for the lessons they then phoned me and said she couldn't start 'til she was 12 weeks old, so cancelled them and will be taking her next week now instead! The past two nights Erica hasn't gone down at all, I've had to hold her all night and she has screamed (not cried!!), everytime I've put her down, so I'm really tired and hoping she has a good night soon!! She is really difficult to get to sleep as she fights it, as soon as her eyes are closed for a second they spring back open again!! It drives me mad!!! So she still doesn't have a routine at the moment.

Paige has been home 4 weeks now... it's going by so fast! She will be 3 months old on Monday, eek!!!
We are saving most of her preemie clothes, I think they fit on the Cabbage Patch Kid! It's so funny because when we dressed her up for Valentine's Day we had to tape the back of her outfit so it wouldn't fall off her LOL. And this was a preemie size, and it was still too big! The nurses were telling me that at Halloween parents buy Build-A-Bear clothes for the preemie babies to dress them up, can you imagine?

I have four dogs and I love them to pieces; they are all handling this new "tiny human" in their house differently... the old dog is actually scared of the baby LOL. My two middle-aged dogs are IN LOVE with the baby and the youngest dog could care less, ha!

Thanks, she has caught it from her brother. Its such a shame she has red eyes and is so miserable. She´s not feeding as well either as her nose is blocked. Hopefully she´ll get better soon. How is Riley doing ?

My husband helps a bit, but were Erica is colicky, she wants to feed and comfort suck a lot which he can't help her with seeing as she is breastfed! lol. I end up doing a lot of the house stuff because he is at work. Erica is using cloth nappies so Mark doesn't change them, he can't seem to master the art of folding them (not sure if that is deliberate or not, my mum only showed me how to do it once and I was fine!). I don't mind too much though as I'm not at work, although it is good to be able to hand her over if she has had a bad night so that I ca get some sleep! Thats good that Jeff helps you out, you'd be dead on your feet otherwise!! We are taking her for her first swim today and then she starts swimming lessons! Hopefully she is ok in the water! How is Riley? Does he sleep much at night? I'm hoping when her colic settles down Erica will!

Thanks....it's always great to see her when she visits wherever we are.
Well it was actually a lot harder to pick out nursery bedding with not knowing what we are having, but I found one that we both liked. It's called Two By Two by Kidsline...it's a Noah's Ark Theme. The furniture actually gets delivered on Tuesday so once we finish putting everything in I will take pictures and post them.

Snow! Ahhhh! No thanks...well unless I am at a ski resort and well it will be a while until we go skiing again.
Yeah it's definitely different to not work. I started working when I was 14 and worked full time through college and started teaching about a month or so after I graduated college. So there are a lot of times when I just don't know what to do with myself. Midnight and I go on a lot of walks during the days. Lately I have been having a lot of things replaced in the house so that I don't have to worry about anything when the baby comes. The next two weeks will definitely be busy..my mom is coming to visit and I think after that I will be able to stay busy with washing clothes and buying last minute things. It's starting to get so close and we are so excited!
There are a good amount of activities that are offered here for families of deployed soldiers so I try to go to as many of those as I can, no matter how boring they may seem :)
For the most part I do enjoy not working and being able to relax whenever, but honestly the best part about not working now is that I can talk to James whenever he calls and not worry about missing the calls. Plus, today we got to talk on the webcams and if I was working that wouldn't have happened. Oh and he got to see the dog for the first time since Memorial Day Weekend last year.....it was so awesome!
