My profile

We're having a GIRL can't wait! We're still debating on names I like Adrianna and he likes Melanie but we both like Lydia, Gabriella, and Evelyn so most likely it will be one of those name unless it changes which it just might. Currently we're removing the ugly plaster that covers the walls of our soon-to-be nursery and we're almost done then we can start painting. Everything's coming along so nicely can't wait until the day I see my little girl hopefully more toward week 40 :)

Absolutely excited about being pregnant!!! I'm married to my hubby Joshua, who is caring and would do just about anything for me and our baby. He's going to be a great father. I can't wait to find out the sex of my baby because we keep going into stores and wanting to buy something but don't want to get neutrals. I have 2 weeks until we find out, which couldn't come sooner. This is our first baby and although the prenancy wasn't expected I think we're as ready as we could be for a baby to come into our lives. I would love some tips that all first time mothers should know that isn't in all the books that I've already read anything would be a great help.

I hope i don't regret not taking a lamaze class and that "winging it" goes well enough!
how have you been feeling? i can't believe it is almost time for our babies to come!!!
I must say though that the past couple days i've been feeling horribly pregnant! I am very sore by the end of the day, i have trouble getting in and out of my car, I have a distinct waddle, and i just started getting braxton hicks contractions and they are no fun! i guess that's what it is...i get sharp pain at the bottom of my stomach several times a night.
i'm sure you are just as excited as me to finally meet the baby that you've been carrying for so long!
keep me updated and take care!

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

My shower was wonderful! We got so much stuff off of the registry...all of the big stuff too! so we just have a few little things that we have to get before she comes. We did have a couple games planned but had no time to do them!!! by the time everyone was talking and eating and then i opened presents and we did cake...most people were leaving! oh well, it went really fast and now it's over and i have so many things in my living room to put away!
Let me know how your checking in appt goes!!! Can you believe that we will be holding our babies so soon!?!?

jenadamandbaby - Sunday, 21 September
cutting the work load in half sounds pretty good! and i heard those maternity belts do wonders!
I'm glad you got everything you wanted at the shower. and good luck with your nursery! that should be a lot of fun! decorating and all!
I can't wait for my shower tomorrow!!! I registered at babies r us and target...so far about 20 things were bought...some little things, some big things. so that's not too bad at all! I'm having the shower at the hall in my church.
about 40 people are coming and I got gifts from six different people today who can't make it to the shower! so sweet of them!!!
hahaha my belly gets rubbed all day by my students but i don't mind at all...they're just kids and i think it's so sweet. one of my first graders just came up to me and kissed my belly yesterday! :)
no strangers have rubbed my belly but every single person i know rubs it when they see me! it makes me glad that everyone is so excited about it!
oh and did you make your checking in appt? Mine is on Oct 14th...i can't wait!
well, i hope you are feeling well! and i'll ttyl!

jenadamandbaby - Wednesday, 17 September
Thank you so much! and yes, you should definitely have your own little photoshoot too! it was SO much fun!
I am so glad to hear that your shower went well. mine is this sunday...i can't wait!
now you say that they didn't buy from the registry but you got everything you wanted...is that because they bought the same things at other stores...maybe found better deals for the same products at other places?
make sure you put up pics of your nursery when it's all done! so exciting!
I have been feeling really really good actually. I am not tired with school at all...and i sleep better at night now. I hope i feel this good for the rest of the pregnancy because I am working up until the delivery day! My classes have been wonderful and they are all so excited about the baby. My stomach gets rubbed about 200 times everyday...no exaggeration! I have cafe duty for 40 minutes a day and i pretty much just walk around as they all ask about the baby (the same questions over and over) and touch my belly. as each class comes into the art room they all rub my belly as they go by. it's so cute.
oh, and how did your doctor appt. go? is he/she going to take you out of work? i hope you start feeling better!
take care and ttyl!

jenadamandbaby - Friday, 5 September
I can't wait for my shower also! you'll have to let me know how yours goes! i'm sure you're so excited!
I can't believe at all how fast the time is going! to think that our babies will be here in less than two months is insane and so very exciting! I've only just begun to feel large and pregnant in the past couple weeks. My belly is rock hard and so tight...i can't bend down anymore at all!
I'm going to work right up until the day she comes! In a couple of weeks i know i'll be even bigger and more sore and miserable! can't wait...
but i want to spend my whole maternity leave with her here...

jenadamandbaby - Wednesday, 3 September
I still have to call to make an appt. I keep putting it off but i need to call this week. I can't wait for my baby shower!!! it can't come fast enough! What day is yours? mine is on the 21st and the rsvp date is the 14th. I'm sure people show up without rsvping though.
as far as the games go...my sister is in charge of the shower but i was searching online and there are thousands of ideas...i don't know what we will do yet though. A lot are corny but some seem pretty fun...at least as time fillers to keep everyone busy and occupied. so yeah i don't know yet. for food we are going to have meatball sandwiches, turkey barbeque sandwiches, cold cuts, and some sides. besides that i don't think my sister has anything else planned yet!

jenadamandbaby - Saturday, 30 August
yes, the 'checking in' appt is the appt you make with the nurse. It says it should be scheduled around the 34th week but my doctor said it takes about 3 weeks to even get in.
at the appt. the nurse will:
- gather info that will help the hospital provide quality care.
-provide info on breastfeeding and other baby care issues.
- enroll us in TotTrax, a reminder and education program for infant immunizations.
- present us with gifts from the hospital!
we are supposed to call (610)954-7900 M-F 8:30-4:30 to make the appt. I'm going to call next week to be sure i can get in at a good time.
i've been feeling really good also but i'm afraid that once my students start back on Tuesday that i'm going to be exhausted!
i can not even believe how fast the weeks have come and gone! I can't wait...i am so excited! I hope the time keeps going fast so i can finally hold her! So far, i'm not even scared or nervous about delivery but i'm sure that will change!

jenadamandbaby - Thursday, 28 August
I'm going to talk to Adam about it when he gets home from work. If we do take a class I think Oct 4th will be the one! Thank you for giving that info. to me! Did you make your 'checking in' appt. with the hospital yet? My doctor told me on Monday that i should call soon so i will do that early next week. She said it takes a couple of weeks to even get an appt.

jenadamandbaby - Thursday, 21 August
Hey! the tour made me even more excited! i teared up when i saw the babies in the nursery! i just can not wait! I yelled at adam the whole time during the tour because of all his silly questions! lol. he said he was just nervous! I passed my glucose test so i've now been doubling up on the chocolate intake! lol.
hmm...Oct 18th is really cutting it close! If we have our baby before then, do we get our 80 dollars back??? i really do think that adam and i should go to that class...it would definitely help!

jenadamandbaby - Friday, 15 August
Yes we will be there! i'm excited because it means we are closer to having our babies!!!
did you go to that one on Aug. 9th? if you did, how was it?

incubator - Tuesday, 12 August
Yikes...sounds like you have your work cut out for you in the nursery. Good luck! Thanks for the input on the borders.
