My profile

We're having a GIRL can't wait! We're still debating on names I like Adrianna and he likes Melanie but we both like Lydia, Gabriella, and Evelyn so most likely it will be one of those name unless it changes which it just might. Currently we're removing the ugly plaster that covers the walls of our soon-to-be nursery and we're almost done then we can start painting. Everything's coming along so nicely can't wait until the day I see my little girl hopefully more toward week 40 :)

Absolutely excited about being pregnant!!! I'm married to my hubby Joshua, who is caring and would do just about anything for me and our baby. He's going to be a great father. I can't wait to find out the sex of my baby because we keep going into stores and wanting to buy something but don't want to get neutrals. I have 2 weeks until we find out, which couldn't come sooner. This is our first baby and although the prenancy wasn't expected I think we're as ready as we could be for a baby to come into our lives. I would love some tips that all first time mothers should know that isn't in all the books that I've already read anything would be a great help.

Hey! the tour made me even more excited! i teared up when i saw the babies in the nursery! i just can not wait! I yelled at adam the whole time during the tour because of all his silly questions! lol. he said he was just nervous! I passed my glucose test so i've now been doubling up on the chocolate intake! lol.
hmm...Oct 18th is really cutting it close! If we have our baby before then, do we get our 80 dollars back??? i really do think that adam and i should go to that class...it would definitely help!

jenadamandbaby - Friday, 15 August
Yes we will be there! i'm excited because it means we are closer to having our babies!!!
did you go to that one on Aug. 9th? if you did, how was it?

incubator - Tuesday, 12 August
Yikes...sounds like you have your work cut out for you in the nursery. Good luck! Thanks for the input on the borders.

jenadamandbaby - Friday, 1 August
I just realized that I can't sign up for that class on Aug. 9th...i'm babysitting my friend's three kids (a five year old girl and twin two year old boys!! yikes!) overnight from friday to saturday. I do want to still take that class though. I'm going to just keeping checking the website for the new dates (i'm sure they'll have another all day saturday class, maybe in September). It says that we should take that class in our third trimester...which i start August 3rd i think so i'll have time!
My registry took four hours and we went to Target and Babies R Us....four hours was plenty long for Adam as he got cranky quickly! lol.
Where did you register? I posted in week 26 that you should definitely read the reviews online of the big things that you requested (high chair, swing, pack n play, travel system, furniture)...I did last night and ended up changing my high chair and pack n play because the reviews on the Babies R Us website were so bad! I just picked new ones that got great reviews. From what i've read it seems that Graco is great and Evenflo sucks!

the class is on that website that you sent me. It can either be taken like four different evenings for two hours each or it's offered on a saturday for eight hours. they touch on a lot of topics so i figure that will be enough then. check it out and see what you think.
i have no idea how many people i'm inviting to my shower! It will be a lot because i don't want to leave anyone out and both sides of my family are big! I should probably get a list going and start thinking about it because i don't want my sister to be stuck with everything.
I have been feeling tired and really sore! my lower back is killing me (and i'm not even that big!) and i have really sore muscles and ligaments in my stomach. and we still have three months to go!!

jenadamandbaby - Tuesday, 22 July
ok, i signed up for the pregnancy orientation program on Aug. 16th so i will see you there! I'm debating whether or not i should sign up for the prepared childbirth class...there's an all day one (eight hours) on a saturday. it costs 80 dollars and is held at the family health center on lehigh street. I don't know if that class will help me be prepared or just scare me! a lot of people say that when they're in labor, they forget everything they learned anyway! so i dunno!

I like both Adrianna and Melanie! And both go with Violet nicely!

I will probably have my shower in Sept. also sometime. I might have it at my church's hall because i don't think my house is big enough for how many women i'd have to invite! we'll see!

I have heard of the Melt but i've never been there. it's in center valley, right? i heard it's beautiful on the inside...pretty upscale for the lehigh valley which is cool! italian food is my absolute favorite and of course adam doesn't like italian food!

well, hope all is well with you! take care and talk to you later!

Racing Mum - Friday, 18 July
Hey, first of all Congrats on your pregnancy. How are you feeling?
Thank You for the comments about my little boy. His smile now melts our hearts =)
I was very naive & thought that breastfeeding came naturally & easily to everyone...it doesnt! It took alot of determination through awkwardness & pain before it even felt half 'normal'. My advice is to just be prepared to possibly feel some discomfort & know that it is normal but will get better with time & the more you breastfeed/express the quicker it will normalise.

I hope everything goes well with the rest of your pregnancy & you have a easy birth. I'm a new mummy but i'd be happy to chat about any concerns & pass on any info/advice I may have if you need it. Take Care..Mandy

oh cool! you're delivering at the same hospital! Pocono Mt. HS? Do you know Jennifer Kriz? She lives in Palmerton...not sure what high school she went to...maybe Palmerton High School if there is such a thing??
make sure you put up pics of the nursery! We had to do a lot of work in our nursery too cause it's an old house...we put down new carpeting and took down the drop ceiling and had to spackle the ceiling. but i'm so happy with it now!
I go to A Woman's Place on Delaware Ave. right by St. Luke's...Dr. Willis and Dr. Abbruzzi. We're are going with the name Shayla Mae. Mae is after his mom. I kind of want to go to birthing classes to keep my mind more at peace! Adam thinks it's a waste but if i really wanted to go he would go. I don't even know where to go! I haven't looked into really yet. Are you going to classes? Maybe i'll go where you are going!!! Do you have names picked out yet? Are you having a baby shower? I'm having one in September sometime. Where are you registering? I'm going this Saturday to register at Target and Babies R Us probably. so excited to do that!
well, it's really great talking to you! I'm glad I found someone who lives around here! Do you know anyone else on here who lives in this area?
take care and ttyl!

jasonssigngirl - Wednesday, 16 July
hi! thanks! its definetly a blessing! and CONGRATS to you too! I should be finding out next week what im having...thats the plan anyway If it's a boy we are gonna name him Daniel Michael (after his uncles) and if it's a girl she will be Mary Cassidy (after my mom who passed away almost 7 years ago). At first we wanted a little boy soooo bad... and now we are both in agreement that we really dont care either way as long as its healthy! how are things going for you? you havent found out the sex yet??? I bet your anxious!

jenadamandbaby - Wednesday, 16 July
awesome! I was hoping i'd find someone who lived around here! I grew up in Allentown and just bought a house in Bethlehem a year ago. I went to Dieruff. Did you go to high school in Allentown? I am an art teacher in Allentown...at Washington Elementary. And my family still lives in Allentown (on the south side) so i go there all the time. What part of Allentown do you live in?
Pregnancy has been absolutely wonderful so far. It's the best thing i've ever gone through...besides the acid reflux everytime i eat! She kicks me constantly and it's the coolest thing! I love it! :) How have things been for you?
My due date is Nov. 3rd too!!!! same as yours! I'm going to St. Luke's in Bethlehem to give birth. I hope all is well! Take care and keep in touch!
