Making it Work.

My name is Christina. I have always loved children and was praised for my exemplary ability involving them.I was always requested for babysitting and my whole family knew that I was good with kids.I would have to say that this is by far the strangest thing that I have ever been through. This is my first pregnancy and I got this way while I was on birth control. So, in retrospect, this is my .01% chance miracle baby. I will admit that at first I cried, a lot. I was sure I was not ready to be a mom (still questioning that) and I was terrified about what would be coming up. I've gotten a lot more used to it now, and I'm happy. Not just happy, overjoyed. I am so excited about my baby. I'm just worried. That would be the exact word for my state, WORRIED. I have a boyfriend and he is the father. My hormones are beating him up constantly and he's being such a good sport. He actually stepped up quite a bit more than I had hoped for and I love love love him for it. My parents are stoked, super excited to have a new baby in the family. I'm not quite financially ready for this, but I do have my family and that is what will save me from the poor house. Well, enough rambling. I have to puke.

hey ladies! just had to hop on here real quick, i know i havent been on in a while but i just wanted to let you all know i had my baby!!! she was born Sept. 22nd at 8:10 am via C/S. She was 7lbs 4 oz 19 in long. thank u for the well wishes we're both doing great, just trying to survive breast feeding

yeah that's true. i always thought it was SO miserable to be cold, but i guess really its worse to be hott, because sometime you JUST can't do anything about it!!
we're in Fl. so its nice and HUMID! ugh its so gross! i HATE going outside, i stay inside where its nice and air conditioned!! and that's where i'll be the rest of the summer!
yeah my belly is big and hard too. and she likes to stick her butt outward, so when she does that it feels SO weird! it doesnt hurt, but its like a tingling kind of pressure, idk how to explain it. but it feels like any second my belly is just gonna burst open and plop a baby on the floor!! lol
she's been really active lately too! always jumping around when she hears Daddy's voice! its so cute, its like she gets excited when she hears him, and then he'll talk to her and i guess his voice soothes her bc she ends up falling asleep! its so precious!

ugh, its such a chore to do ANYTHING! and then my nose is all stuffy no matter WHAT i do, so that doesnt make it any easier!!
is it hot where you are? its SO humid here, so getting out to do things is even MORE of a task!

oh my GOSH!!! they say the SAME to me! and it makes me SO mad!! lol i swear if one more person says "WOW! you're BIG for __ months..." i'm gonna CLOCK them!! lol like i mean C'mon!! why say that to a pregnant girl, when you KNOW 98% of us are self-concious about the changes we're going through and the weight we're putting on?? common sense people!!
how exciting!! do you have a "gut" feeling of what it is? i swore the entire time that i was having a boy, but i think i may have just been saying that to prepare myself in case it WAS a boy so i wouldnt feel an OUNCE of dissappointment. you know? i mean i'd be happy either way but i really wanted a girl, so i didnt want to get my hopes up for a girl, and if they said boy, i didnt want ANY room for any "aww, man! i wanted a girl...." you know what i mean?

yeah my poor baby has barely any room left. i swear she's gonna be big enough to walk on her own pretty soon, i'm gonna look like a Flintstone's car!!
i would think you WOULD'VE had the "anatomy scan" at 20 weeks. that's when i had mine. well at least you get to find out soon!

It also helps if you're partner is sensitive to when you need a "time out" because of stress, and either takes the baby for a walk without you, or tells you to put him/her in the crib, walk out, and shut the door, even if baby's crying. It can be ever so important to your sanity, and hence to baby's wellbeing! It's nice now to be thinking now about how wonderful having a baby is going to be, but the reality of endless diaper changes, midnight crying and total exhaustion, is another matter. Your patience will be a very valuable asset! Another thing that takes some getting used to for a lot of new mothers is the fact that all of a sudden You are not the most central person in your world. But I get a sense that that won't be a problem to you, and you will embrace the responsibility and dependency of your little one. I'm sure you'll be a great mother - kindness is a BIG part of childrearing!

I'm enjoying being at a stage where Baby is actually more of a viable little person, rather than just a "growth". My daughter Becki even says "goodnight" to her at bedtime, now!

yeah i really hope she comes in october! i want a fall baby. and i mean she'll be one even if she's born in sept. but i LOVE halloween so having her in Oct. would be awesome!

that's cute you're "baby-fied"? lol i like that. yeah its very hard to feel attractive at this point. we went to Memphis and saw Graceland this past weekend. So we had this lady take a pic of us in front of the house, and when i saw it afterwards i was like "OH MY GODDD!!!!" i could NOT believe how HUGE i look!!! i freakin look like i'm 7 or 8 months already! and it so doesnt help that i'm only 4'10''!! oh man i freaked! of course he was like "DONT delete it! i want it, you look beautiful" but all i could see was this big giant ball standing next to him!! after that i REFUSED to get into any other pictures!
how long have you and your bf been together? is he the same age as you?
