Hello to all the Mommys and "Moms-2-Be"!!!!

My name is Mulan. I am not married, but am in a commited realtionship (over six years now...). My partner's name is Tobias. He is a remarkable man who stays on point and takes care of his bissness. Although, at times, he is difficult to deal with and our very similar personalities often collide, I love him with all my heart, and can't imagine a better man to be the father of my child. Recently, we had wonderfull baby boy, and have 3 angels in heaven.

It's hard to explain the feelings of being an expectant mother. I am extremly happy, excited, anxious, and scared. No, it's not having a baby that scares me. Loosing him, is what keeps me up at night. Due to previous misscarriges, I have a high risk pregnancy. And so far, it hasn't been easy at all!!! I've been having contractions(the painfull kind...) since seventeen weeks. Had some bleeding all throughout the pregnancy and even had some fluid leakage. So, needless to say, I am on bedrest. It's been hard, I lost my job, and barely get things done now, but I know - IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT once my son is born.

AND NOW>>> Our beutifull creation...

His name is Xavier Alexander.He is my heart and soul,the pride and joy of my life!!!! Sometimes I am amazed that I created something so preciuos! I take pride in knowing that (sooner than i'd like to...)he will be his own person, a man, able to stand on his own 2 feet, make his own decisions and walk down his path of life. I can only hope I will do a good job in preparing him for the "world" and all the struggles of being a part of it.

But for now...

That's MY lil' man!!!!! LOL, little is not the right word however... At the age of 6 month, Xavier weighs over 23 lbs. He is very healthy (Thank God for that!) and active. He has been sitting unsupported since he was 4 month and 3 weeks(I am so proud!). He stands well on his feet(no tipie toes) and if there is something to hold on too, like the rails in his crib, he will stand for 5 minutes or more. His only set back is rolling over :(. Still hasn't happend. He gets plenty of tummy time, but just stays in one place/position. He love baby food( I only give gim the bottle as the 1st and last feeding a day), especialy everything thats sweet. Peek-a-boo is ONE of his favorite pass-times. He love to swing or being tossed around in a swinging motion!!! BUT xavier doesnt know how to laugh. He thinks he is laughin, but he sounds like a the "cookie-monster chockin". LMAO!!!!!

Being a mother is the most rewarding thing in the world!!!! Atleast untill the child's teenage years, lol.(remembering myself...) I love it!!!!

Xavier is my world. I love waking up to see his face. I love holding him and feeling the wormth of his body. I love the sensation of his skin on my lips when I kiss him. I love discovering that yet another outfit does not fit, because he is growing soo fast! All of it!!! I love it!!!! All you preggos have soooo much to look forward to!

Well, Ladies, happy and healthy nine month to you all!!! This is your time, so enjoy it to the fullest!!!!!! Dont hold your emotions back - it's not healthy =D!Give in to your cravings! Love your life and yourself. No matter how hard things may get, it will all be worth it!!! Just think, soon enough you will be able to share your lovely bundle of joy with the rest of the worl! Today I fainted when i was in the store. I know, I wasnt even supposed to be out but, I though I just had to get just a lil shoping done, before I get so big I where I cant even movearound on my own. Well, I learned my lesson!!!! I went to see my doctor and they told me the sugar levels in my blood were low. She told me I have to eat every hourand not just lil ` bitty snakcs... Now with the way I `ve been gaining weight(2 lbs in the last six days, and 42 over all ), I afraid Im going to blow up by the time I give birth!!!! She also said to substitute my water with gatorate or propell water. Other than that Xavier is doing good. He droped quite a bit, so he might come a lil ` early. But they says he is healthy so Im not too worried. I just gotta follow doctors orders and stay on bedrest like im supposed to, to keep him in there as long as possible.

Ok, It seems like like everytime I go to the doctor, they give me more bad news... Although it isn `t anything to serious, I am sooo tired of all these complications. Well, come to find out my blood level is low, which explains why I am so tired all the time even though I stay in bed for most of the day and when I am up and about, I get sick and dizzy. And get this, so far (@ 33 weeks exactly) I have gained 46 lbs! But my baby is a little underweight. I dont know what to do to make him gain more weight. I gain 3-4 lbs a week, and still he is not gaining enough! I dont know what to do!!! I am a little worried because if he comes early and is underweight, that may cause more complications. Hopefully, it will work itself out. I just wish it was april allready!!

OK. I had another dr. apointment today and I can `t say it went to well... First the doctor said I am not eating enough and my body started to brake itself dow to support the baby `s growth and to allow me to continue living! ( Basicaly it `s acting like I `m on a diet ) But I am still gaining weight, just more like a normal person now, 1lb a week. I do have to admit though, I `ve been eating less. My appitite is real messed up now! It `s like I got tired of all the food I used to eat, and nothing seems apealing to me. Well, anyways! While The doctor was doing his usual thing, I noticed that he listened to Xavier `s heartbeat way longer that usual... I asked if everything was alright - he asured me it was. Two hours after I left the office I got a call from one of the girls at the front desk. She told me that after consulting with another physician, the dr. decided he wanted me to go get a biophysical (long ultrasound where they monitor the baby `s breathing and movements) right away because there was something wrong with the heartrate. Ofcourse they said not to worry, but what good does that do for an expectant mother??? And I didn `t like this ultrasound at all because the tech kept shaking my tummy trying to get my lil man to move more(it was his nap time because i ate 45 mins before I got there - and he usualy sleeps after I eat a large meal) Well, They didnt keep me in the hospital so my guess is that it `s nothing to serious. Now I have to wait untill next week to get the results when I go to my next prenatal apointment.

O.K.... I am 2 days past due now and this waiting is killing me!!! The baby is 8.5 lbs, and considering my size, it's huge! Up untill today the doctor was refusing to induce me. The baby is healthy and Dr. didn't take my size in the proportion with the baby into consideration at all. And I wanted a vaginal birth so bad!!!! Well, they finaly agreed to induce my labor. It's scheduled for Monday (April 28th). I'm still hoping to ga into labor naturaly, but I dought that will happen...
As much as I would like for him to be born sooner, I dont want him born on Saturday. Thats his daddy's birthday, and I dont want them to share it! I want his day to be all his!!!!
Hopefully all will go well and i get to meet my lil' X this Monday !
