24 January 2008

The other morning I woke up and my uterus had "floated" up and the top of it was sitting just even with my belly button. I could palpate my whole uterus it was like a rockmelon sitting there. It was weird but exciting. I was showing Andrew, my husband, and laughing about it. Now every morning when I wake up it is like this. But when I stand up it sinks back down abit into my pelvic cavity, and it sinks down even further when I get up and empty my bladder! Its still there about 3 inches below my belly button though.

Can't believe I'm at the end of 14 weeks, I'm just flying along and feel like I'll almost be half-way soon. I'm still wanting to eat sweet things, I did also when I had the morning sickness cos it made me feel better. But I still want to and my skin on my chin is pimply like a teenager, even if I cut out the sweets it doesn't help much. Oh well I'll just put up with it. It usually clears eventually. But by eating regularly, more sweet things than other I managed my morning sickness better this time.

Hi, I have been reading lots from this web page and everyone elses comments on the chat forum. I love it so I `m starting my own VIP page.I am already mum to 2 kids and 13 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I like this chat forum so much cos I havn `t announced my pregnancy yet. So I can still chat to others at the same stage of pregnancy as me without telling everyone.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Hmm I have never heard that. I don't see a chiro anymore because they always seem to want to put me on the 'lifetime' plan. I guess some of them are 'okay' Thanks for your input!

Thanks for getting back to me about my post, even though this is my second baby i still feel i always have questions.
About ppl. inviting you out after the baby is born. I have a wedding to go to and my friend won't let me bring my infant, I am planning on nursing... so that totally ticks me off. She said to me the other day, "so what are you going to do with your baby when you come to my wedding???" i think i might just sneak him in on my sling...lol. some ppl. are just so oblivious!

knockduppp - Saturday, 19 July

Good grief... i dont know if I want the poops along with all else! lol.... i have taken an Easy Birthing Formula with all those herbs, have done the black cohosh as well... but i tried the accupressure at the webbing between the thumb and forefinger... I thought I felt a little something. i have been having BH for a few days- even now. But as of Monday I was not dilated at all. Im thinking, do I want to cause contractions when Im not dilated??
I cant think of anything else... wild sex??? Hubby is game for that! lol.

he nuva ring is a ring shaped form the you insert into your vagina and leave it in there for 3 weeks and then when you remove it you get your period. I know quite a few people that use it and LOVE it and have and none to minimal side affects.

yea, sex isnt working for us either. its so uncomfortable, and with my bone being split, half the time it hurts just to walk, let alone have sex! after walking for 4 1/2 hours at the fair yesturday, i lost my plug, but i hurt like hell. hubby has to help me get off the couch after i sit cuz its so painful. oh well, i guess its all for a good cause!

Actually it was the same doctor. I did find out yesterday while talking to her that she is back on it and has been for over a year now (since the molor pregnancy) she does like it she just had two bad experiences, but that goes with any birth controll you take a risk. People get pregnant off the pill all the time and its supposed to be 99.99 acurate. I got pregnant off of spermicide so nothing is 100 %. I plan on trying the nuva ring when i'm done haveing this one.

I had the merena for 4 1/2 years after my first pregnancy.. i had a little cramping and spotting for a few days after it was inserted.. i loved the merena.. no weight gain as it has very little hormones.. no period ( i understand that varies for each woman, some have light periods or regular).. my husband said sometimes he could feel the string during intrercourse but over all i was very happy.. no pill or shot to remember taking.. as soon as this baby is delivered i will have it put in again. good luck on preg..

its actually been cool here for the last couple of days. been a nice change. i keep forgetting my prenatal, so i think im low on iron. all i get are bh. we go walking pretty much every night, i get really tight bh for a few hours after, but then they stop. dr is doing another sweep on tuesday, so hopefully that will speed things up!

we wont be doing any renovating in the near future. we live in an apartment, and housing where we live is crazy. a 2 bedroom condo is 200,000, with no yard, plus condo fees. a 1 bedroom house is 170,000. we live in an oil city and its expanding like crazy. the vacancy rate is 0.2, actually the highest its been in 6 years. i wanted my hubby to try to get a transfer to another town, closer to my parents, and a cheaper cost of living, but all his friends are here, and hes lived here most of his life.
im feeling really dizzy and light headed today. i had some errands to do, but just didnt feel like it would be a good idea to be out of the house by myself! i spent an hour and a half at work today talking to people just to socialize. feel like you're any closer to having your little bub?

lizzie287 - Friday, 11 July
hi - about your question, I got a stretch and sweep this early because I have a medical condition that is making pregnancy pretty much unbearable at this point but my doctor is reluctant to do an induction, and there's no need for a c-section. plus i've been experiencing regular contractions for almost a month now with little progress, my cervix is in place, baby is engaged and ready to go, so she just wanted to give me a little push without going for a full induction.

Parkersmommy1 - Friday, 11 July
wow, i thought you were busy before! how do you have the energy for it all? i know all about inspectors and everything. when i was younger, my dad had his own company. my mom helped him, so in the summer instead of hiring a baby sitter, we had to hang out at the job site all day. it was either sit bored in the truck, or help, so we helped with roofing and siding, and whatever else we could do! cheap labor hey? lol

Parkersmommy1 - Tuesday, 8 July
thanks. a lot of people have been telling me to let up on my husband, and that i was being over sensitive. sorry to hear about your hubby. i couldnt even imagine looking after 3 kids, being pregnant and doing all the housework. i just got into a routine where i can get all the housework done while pregnant, i dont know how im gonna keep up after baby. if im home, hubby doesnt do much, he'll take out the garbage for me. every weekend i go to my brothers to do laundry to save money (ours cost money cuz we live in an apt) and i leave him a list of things to do, and he will do it, but not if im home. its odd. you should tell your hubby that you want a pamper day before your next comes! you deserve it. or, find a babysitter, and have one last date night, you know you wont get one for awhile after the baby. take care, anytime you need to vent, i'll be here!

Parkersmommy1 - Tuesday, 8 July
i shouldnt be upset cuz i told him i didnt want anything anyways. but if he was going to spend money, at least get me something half decent! who wants practical on their birthday, especially the last one where it will be jsut the 2 of you! he didnt know what to do for my birthday either, so i told him we could go to the fair thats in town. i only go for the food, not the rides anyways! guys can be so dense lol.

Phonics - Monday, 7 July
That is really good advice. Thanks!

MommyWonder - Sunday, 6 July
I'm going through all the cleaning madness, just like you. After my BF cleans out all of the boxes (we just moved) then I'll really be ready for this baby. I'm getting real impatient since this is my first child.
