12 September 2008
The hospital has pushed my date forward according to the 20 week ultrasound since I don't really know when my last period was, that makes my due date the 22nd of September, which means I have 10 DAYS TO GO! Countdown Time! Can you believe Im going to have another baby?? I cant imagine life without my son Abdul Hafiz but yet its so hard to imagine life with another baby heheh.

At this stage I am in so much pain every morning getting out of bed, my bones downstairs feel like they are breaking and just turning from side to side during the night is soo soo difficult. I am really excited to see my Baby boy and even more excited not to be pregnant anymore. I want my body to be my body again! I know this might sound selfish to all you first timers but seriously being pregnant twice in a row is a big strain on the body. I have literally been pregnant for two years minus the month and half in between hehe. I want to get my body shape back to normal! I want to make love with my husband and actually enjoy it. I am so scared of the labour ahead... I really hope it is easier then the first time round.

1 August 2008

Can't believe there is less then 2 months until I have my lil baby boy infront of me! I am so excited yet so nervous at the same time! I have been really sick for the passed week and a half! I spent a couple of days at my mums because I couldn't look after my son and was just passed out on the couch for 2 whole days! Thank god I have my mum to help me out in those situations. The doctor gave me antibiotics and said it won't harm the baby this far along during the pregnancy! The irritating thing is its just taking so long to go away! I am feeling soooo much better but still coughing and my chest if full of flem which makes it really hard to breathe sometimes. This month should pass pretty quickly with the Olympics on and all! And my final month I will have Ramadan which is a really hectic month and should pass even quicker! I really cant wait not to be pregnant anymore.. Im getting really big and heavy and Im finding it hard to look after my nearly 10month old son. Especially that Ive been sick lately.

I think the hardest part is waking up every morning feeling like a whale and having to get out of bed to attend the needs of my husband and son. I remember when I gave birth to my son the day I came home from the hospital I just felt to light and energetic it was amazing! Im hoping I feel like that this time too! Anyways girls I wish a happy and safe final couple of months to you all!

It's a Boy

My Baby boy is going to have a brother! How exciting!

PREGNANT AGAIN!

I cant believe I fell pregnant soo soon! It was a MASSIVE shock, and it took me a while to accept, but im happy, I mean how can I not be happy about having a new life growing inside of me!!

I wonder if my little boy will have a baby brother or sister!

Due 29th September!

Me and My Hubby Mouhammed on Honey Moon

Baby Abdul Hafiz is HERE!!!

Birth Story (First Baby)

On the 08/10/07 I woke up at 3.30am to have something to eat before another day of fasting, when I went to the bathroom I noticed a very clear spit like mucus in my underwear... I kind of had a gut feeling after I saw the mucus that it was my mucus plug and that something was happening. At this point I started to get nervous. When I went to bed at around 4.30am I started to feel some period cramps, didn’t think much of them.. But when I woke up the next day they had disappeared.

On the 09/10/07 I decided to do some vigorous house work, since my house was filthy and I felt in my heart that something was changing in my body. And then told hubby when he came home from work, that I felt like walking to his mums, where we were breaking our fast, she lives around a 45 minute walk from our house. He was really surprised when I told him, but he went along with it. Along the way, I told Mouhammed that I had a gut feeling that my body was changing and that labor might be very near. The walk definitely got things stimulated, because I was having some bad back pain at my mother in-laws, and everyone could tell that I was pretty much exhausted.

When we got home that night around 9.30pm, my stomach was contracting like Braxton hicks contractions, no pain, just a lot of tightening, and since I had hardly any Braxton hicks throughout my pregnancy, at that stage I was pretty sure that something was going on.. We went to bed at 11pm.. Of course hubby fell asleep almost immediately.. And the tightening I was getting in my tummy started to hurt! Each one would hurt more than the other! I kept denying it in my head, and was certain it was false labor pain, it was too early to give birth!! I had exactly one week to go, I was so scared of going into labour, I was just soo nervous...

I could not sleep! At around 2am I got on the internet, and started to ask the girls here some questions, since I was so in denial that I was having real contractions.. at around 3.30am I couldn’t take the pain any more I was on all fours each time I had a contraction. I went and sat next to Mouhammed in bed and then he opened his eyes, tried to talk to me, when I ran off the kitchen because I got a contraction, he had no idea what was going on, so he ran after me, and then realized I was contracting, and got so excited lol! He was trying so hard to hold his smile back, and was begging me to call the hospital!

We called the hospital, and they told me to come in, so we called my mum and off we went to the hospital at around 4.00am. When I got there I got examined and was at 3cm ONLY! I was so upset that I wasn’t further along, she was going to give me an injection for pain and then send me home, but then she realized that I was contracting every 2mins and each contraction was lasting almost a minute, so she kept me there.

The midwives kept offering me the epidural, they were almost begging me to take it, but I kept saying no, even though I was in so much pain. My mum kept telling me to take the gas, but It wasn’t helping me at all!! And I kept throwing it away and breathing on my own and was getting so frustrated, then after a long long while, we realized the bottle was empty the whole time!!! So I got up to 6 to 7 cm all by myself, I cant believe it. BUT I MUST SAY! I LOVED THE GAS! Its not that it took the pain away, its just that the time I had in between each contraction suddenly felt like an hour of rest and sleep. And then when the pain would come, back to reality, but as soon as it went I got knocked out and rested! It was amazing!

And I’ve never felt on such a high before lol! Thinking back it was so much fun! They broke my waters around 11am at 7cm, and when they did, they realized baby had done a poo in my tummy, so they had to monitor him, the strap around my tummy kept losing the heart beat so they had to hook this thing straight to his scalp..

This was a really bad stage of my labor because every time they hooked it up, it wouldn’t work and wouldn’t detect anything, so they would take it off and try again! They did it like 4 or 5 times! Until they realized it was that it wasn’t attached properly, the actual cord was wrecked!

The next thing I remember, is that the contractions started to become unbearable! Because it was no rest, one after the other, this is when I started to yell to let out the pain, the whole time I was quiet until this stage! And then I suddenly turned on all fours, and couldn’t stay on any of my sides, or even sit or do anything, then I screamed I need to push!!! They all didn’t believe me, asking me you NEED TO PUSH OR WANT TO PUSH!! So they checked me and I was at 9.5cm!

So I started pushing by their instructions, 3 pushes in a contraction, and they kept telling me how well I was going and encouraging me! And he was out in around 15 minutes! 10 hours of labor and 15 mins of pushing!

Baby Abdul Hafiz was born at 2.05pm weighing in at 3.52kg and measuring at 50cm tall!

I didnt need any stitches and the midwives were so proud of me because I did everything they instructed :)

It was amazing that as soon as Abdul Hafiz was out all the pain just suddenly disappeared! I couldn’t believe it!! My tummy is so floppy though lol! Ive never had a floppy tummy, but when I look at my son I really couldn’t care less about my tummy hehe.

I cant believe how attached and emotional I am towards him! I love him so much! I love being a mummy!! It really is an amazing feeling.. I cant beleive I have made it, and now I have a son! And that I lived through 9 months of pregnancy, he is so perfect I really couldnt ask for more. Sometimes I cant wait for him to wake up at night just so that I can cuddle him up next to me in bed, I miss him being close to me!

So that’s pretty much my birth story girls I hope its as informative as possible. Good luck to all the girls still waiting for their little ones to arrive! It really is worth every minute..

My Introduction Story (First Baby)

Hey Girlz~!

I am sooo excited to be pregnant, arn't we all hehe.. This is my first baby, so this is all new to me and my husband. I have been married for 10 months, however have known my husband for a year and 11 months now. We weren't really trying to get pregnant, but i did think about it all the time, and i've been wanting to be a mummy forever!! Just to hold a baby and call it my own, in my hands, looking at it and looking at my husband, just being connected to each other in a whole other way. ITS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I am sooooo happy, and cant wait to see it!!

I am actually the youngest out of 6 children, all my brothers and sisters are married. And it's quite fun because 2 weeks ago Both my sisters and me were pregnant all together LOL. Now one of my sisters has given birth to a baby boy ( said in the ultrasound it was a girl) so it was a reallllyyy nice suprise since she has a 2 year old girl. And my other sister is due in May which is really soon..

I am 19 and I live in Sydney Australia, Unfortunately i havnt had a scan or ultrasound yet.. I actually get quite worried, because other then a positive test and a couple of missed periods I dont have any other assurance there is anything in there yet. I know it sounds crazy but i cant help but think it.

Morning sickness has pretty much dissappeared, Im getting quite a bit of headaches and back aches.. Other then that my breasts arnt that sore anymore, just from time to time. My first hospital appointment is on 19th April so by then ill be around 14 weeks. That is when ill have my first scan, sooo im really excited and cant wait for the day to arrive.

My supposed due date is 15 October 2007 which seems soooo far away. But I am quite happy about the date.. well around the time i give birth, because there are alot of celebrations at that time and hopefully it wont be too hot.

I dont have any photo of bubz to show you yet... But i promise as soon as i get my scan, you will be flooded with pics and videos and everything!! So keep in touch, would love to hear from all of you.. And i really like this site, because when you elevate from week to week, your actually elevating with the same people, so you get to know each other really well. lol enough for now, ill let you know when anything new happens.

MWA MWA MWA TO ALL AND GOOD LUCK MUMMIES!!

Hi Nada Nice to hear from you, been so busy getting things sorted. I am now 26week and feeling the baby move all the time now, even James has felt him/her wriggle. I am sure your BP will go back to some sort of normality soon, it will be high especially if yu have started to run about getting things sorted. I have been diagnosed with SPD (Sypmhis Pubic Dysfuction) where the ligaments of my pelvis/pubic bone are too soft (they go soft anyway during pregnancy)but if to soft can cause too movement and pain - i am coping though. Anyway hope to speak soon and take care. Sue x

hey I'm glad u feel OK. try not to worry about your blood pressure, i had low blood pressure a couple of weeks ago and had another appointment made 4 two weeks later by the time that came it had gone back to normal if yours is still high your midwife might keep monitoring it and put u on bed rest or she might send u to hospital not to sure how they will deal with it in australia. i had Tyler 6 days late I'm hoping this little 1 will be on time. what a shame your partner works so late my partner normally works away but he has been working close by which is good. Tyler always keeps me busy I'm potty training him at the mo he has just spent 2 wks away from me i missed him so much and i could not get motivated.

kathleen - Thursday, 19 Jul
hey long time since i spoke to u, hows it all going 4 u? and how is little abduel doing

wati - Thursday, 19 Jul
Hi Nada, It's me Wati. How are you and baby doing ? Hmm.. I've quit my job as a Sales Coordinator. Too stressful for me. Anyway, just wondering, is it easy for you to find maternity clothes in Australia ? I am having so much trouble looking for a shop or someone that can cater to my plus size maternity body. I was browsing thru the net, but most stuffs are from US or UK and their shipping is already cost a bomb. Hmm.. Singapore and Australia is quite near, so i tot if you have any shop to recommend, maybe i'll check out the shipping cost from there. Hope that you, hubby and baby is healthy. Wassalam. Wati

Jumana - Friday, 15 Jun
Hey there mummy, how are u and the baby??i think thats really nice to name him after ur husbands father..well my husband is coming 2morrow just for 1 day then he has to go back..well me not having a due date its what really bothers me coz i want my husband to take a vaction and be with me i really want him to be here during my labour and birth and we really dont have an option since he just got promoted and i really dont want his bosses to think ok this guy keeps going on vactions and not doing his work..he worked so hard for it so we'll see how it goes i just asked him to be around in aug. i decided not to name our boy until hes born coz of the heart condition (allah kareem)..am trying to keep my self and bed and not do anything but its just hard and me thinking and counting evey hour will i make it through the day reaching 32 weeks would make me comfortable..i gained weight witch is good and it was all in the belly that cheered me up coz everybody keeps telling me ur too small for 2 babies andi'll be like (are my babies small and weak) i want them to gain weight and be strong in case if they come early..so did u go shopping??i really dont know wha get i mean i got nothing but clothes i need to prepare but its my first time i dont know what to get??send me a list lol..

susanh - Thursday, 7 Jun
We don't want to find as we like the idea of a surprise at the end, as long as the abby is heathly we don't mind. We have a gorgeous boy anyway so we'll have to wait and see. I have all of James' baby clothes, and if we have a girl then everyone else can buy for us! I am 19wk today and although I have felt the baby move, it has quiet times where I don't feel it move for a day or two, I have my next scan on the 19th and can't wait though. Take care x
