Hi everyone.
Well to let you know a bit about me, I am 32 and have been married to my wonderful husband for 13 years. We already have 3 great kids aged 14, 12 and 8 so I have already got my hands full and on top of that I then childmind other kids so I must be mad(hahaha). I am really enjoying this pregnancy and so far have not had any really bad symptoms, but I do get the odd lower cramping pains, which apparently due to the fact that I am on baby 4 and it is to be expected. My daughter would really love us to have another girl as she has 2 brothers so it would be great for her, but either way I am not too fussed and will love whatever.
Good luck to all the other mum to be's and am so glad that I found this site as its great to see what all the other mums in the same week has to say..
Good luck everyone.....
A bit of an update, well I am now 16+5 days and had my appointment with the midwife today, finally listened to babies heartbeat and actually had a guess on the sex of the baby. She said that the heartbeat was fast so this could mean its a girl, I am hoping to find out on the 14th Jan at my next ultrasound appointment. Other than that she said I had low blood pressure 90/47. Not too sure whether thats okay or not, would be curious to find out if other mums have this problem too, it would explain why I have felt so dizzy sometimes. Its not a problem but it is effecting my shopping trips..lol..Will have to make up for it later though and have a few treats.. Bye for now..xxx
ITS A GIRL.....
17.03.08-29 weeks.
Had a 4d scan on the 15th and it was amazing, confirmed that we are definately having a baby girl and that she looks perfect. She is spitting image of her older brother. Her weight is estimated to be 3lb already so fingers crossed she will be a good healthy weight. I had to be induced 6 weeks early with my last pregnancy due to my placenta not funtioning properly, so hopefully this time round everything will go okay. She was even sucking her thumb which was really sweet.
Healthwise I am still feeling faint at times, am finishing work in 2 weeks time due to this. The problem is I feel fainty even when I sit and lie down at times, and bedtime is terrible all I feel like I do is toss and turn for about an hour before I finally get comfy and able to fall asleep, then its toilet time and I start the motion all over again. At least this problem is only temporary and there will be something special at the end of it, so it will all be worth while.
Thats all for now I will update again soon.
26.03.08.
30 Weeks I went to have a glucose tolerance test today, the fasting one, which was a pain. Appointment at 8.30am, no food or drink from 10pm the night before, woke up and mouth felt like blinkin sandpaper and I just needed a drink. They had me wait 30 mins, and when I asked when I would be seen they thought my appt was at 9.30am. Good job I told them or else I would have been waiting another 30 mins. Had the blood taken then orange flavour glucose drink, which tasted fine, I think it helped that I was so thirsty though go gulped it down. Felt faint all the time I was there, which is why I was having the test done in the first place, had to then wait 2 hours to have more blood taken and a urine sample. Had a nice cuppa and a biscuit after the test, so I'll forgive them a bit..lol. I'm sure the results will be fine and that they are just doing this test to rule things out. Midwife wants me to see te consultant after my next scan in 2 weeks.
I'll update again soon..Bye.
That's amazing! |
