sounds like it was a success!! great idea on how to share, that's for sure. we already told the fam. and my work knows, but as far as the friends, still holding out. i don't think i'll be able to go on much longer because the only stuff that fits is maternity as this is my second... we are heading to a major event this sunday where most of my friends will be so i think instead of covering it up, i'm just going to wear the cute maternity outfit my hubby boutght me for mother's day... it makes me look extemely pregnant and will speak for itself... i will let you know how it goes. i guess i'm ready for it to be "revealed".

good to hear your news!! it sure feels nice to see thie little one in there since you can't feel it yet! i got an ultrasound at six weeks and i get one more in about a month and a half. we will find out what the sex is then. other than that, just routine visits for me!~ keep me updated on sharing the news.. i can'tgive you any suggestions seeing how i can't do it myself!!! i will probably spill the beans in a week or so.

hey there, let me know how the scan went... we were supposed to tell a bunch of our friends last night and i still covered it up... not ready yet. maybe in two weeks or so when i don't have much of an option because i wont be able to cover this up much longer!!

sorry to be nosey but i read a comment you left someone else and you said you had a fetal doppler to hear the heartbeat. i have one that my sister gave me, but the instructions werent with it. i was just wondering where should i put it on my belly to hear it it. like lower or higher, or to the left or right? lol if you know that'd be a big help, thanks for any advice you can give.

Congrats to you as well! It is all so surreal, but hitting the 12 week mark makes it somehow seem more real! We go to hear the heartbeat again on Thursday--so very exciting!

Wow! Congrats on your pregnancy, as well! I think the trouble with detecting mine was a combination of the retroverted uterus, and the fact that my little one seems quite determined to nap at the very back, sitting on my spine. The technician was digging in my abdomen pretty forcefully, trying to coax the little guy (or girl) to another position, to no avail. Stubborn little thing. Sigh. Hopefully, it will be more agreeable (or at least big enough that it doesn't matter) when I go back on Tuesday.

Well when I found out I was pregnant they did a u/s to see how far along I was because I couldn't give them an accurate date of last period (that was all messed up with my birth control). They said i was 6 and a half weeks. Then I had another u/s on April 8th. That was awesome the baby was moving all around!! At my next appointment I won't have a u/s but I will hear the heartbeat via doppler. That appointment is on may 6th. I can't wait. When you said you have a scan on the 7th do you mean u/s or a nuchal scan?? Just curious because my doctor has not said anything about a nuchal scan. Alright well I hope you are feeling okay!! They say HR determination is usually noted late in the second trimester. Not as early as the first. I have a doppler as well and I am convinvced it is a girl..Her HR is always in the high 160s and 170s. I am drenched in morning sickness..With my son I was not..So we will see. Happy Baby to ya!

It is normal. I am from week 35 and I was freezing my first trimester. I am having a boy, so maybe that has something to do with it. I already have two girls and I don't remember being cold with either of them.
