2/2/08 - Well it's still sinking in that we are going to be parents! Our first month of trying, no joke! We went on a diet last year and lost 8 stone between us and after Xmas decided to try and whambang!! I knew on Friday 1/2/08 that something was not right with me as I felt awful and couldn't describe it so took a test and the faintest blue line came up which had happened on a few tests this week! I got a digital one and within seconds had a plus sign. This will be out first and so we are bit wary at the moment until I get to the 12 week stage then I can relax a little bit.

9/2/08- It's now sinking in a bit more and I am feeling very different! My body is changing and it feels funny. I am going to the loo, I have constant nausea until about 3pm every day. The smell and taste of Melon, one of my fave fruits, has me gagging and the smell of turkey has me retching as well! Two of my favourite things and I can't stand them already!

25/2/08- Finally at 8 weeks and it seems like it has gone really quickly since we found out. Got the midwife on Thursday which I am excited about. The nausea is still as bad as ever and the tiredness has really kicked in so I am having little naps all over the place these days. Another 4 weeks to go to the 'safe' point and prayers every night that we get there safely.

15/3/08- Scan date is on 3rd April during my 13th week and I can't wait to see our baby for the first time and to hear him (i say him as it's a lot easier) I feel a bit sad when I see so many other people have heard the heartbeat by now but we haven't heard anything yet :o( I feel so much better though apart from being tired and the sickness has past although I do still feel a bit funny about food and not alot is appealing to me. Have been able to start cooking again which is good! By the end of the day I am dying to take my jeans off as my tummy is all bloating and I just can't wait to get into maternity gear!

3/4/08- Saw our baba today and it was amazing. Heard the heart as well 156 and she said everything was fine so we are very relieved and very very happy!

12/5/08- Saw a different midwife today and she was so much nicer than the other one I saw before. Heart beat was good and baby was very wriggly after she did the heart beat! All tests were good so don't see her now til 2/6/08 after my scan!

23/5/08- Had our 20 week scan and it was fabulous apart from Pickle being a right monster and wriggling non stop, she spent ages trying to check out the heart but final result was healthy good sized BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really pleased we found out and now we can start choosing names!! Archie or Jake are top two choices this week!

30/6/08- Well nearly in the third trimester and it has been going so quickly!! Finally got the nursery done and had my parents staying this week and my Mam even packed my hospital bag and the baby's bag so I am all set except for a cot which we will order in a few weeks. Baby is moving so much more now and the kicks still make me laugh but the hiccups he gets at 5 in the morning are a bit of a pain. Got my third midwife now and she is so funny which is good and such a nice change from the first midwife who was quite evil lol
