Hi to all! Heres my story. Had my tubes tied when i was 26. Husband, at that times request. Ok! alls good except he left a year later. Which ended up a blessing in disguise. Met my present husband 6 years ago and bingo, love of my life. He had no kids as hes 5 years younger that me (how good it that) Any way after much discussing (three years) we disided to do the baby thing, Except we wanted to make a baby with love. So instead of going through IVF I had a tubular reversal. With a 65% chance it would work as I had silicon rings clamping my fallopian tubes which left my tubes a bit shorter than liked. Guess what! 2 months after the OK bang!!!! For my age thats pretty good. My grand son will have a neice/ nephew to play with.

Congrats to all of you new to be mums, how lucky are we!!!!

26 july

YAA!! third trimester Well, the first three months were doozies. Morning sickness like no tomorrow. BUT I have survived!!! It seems like forever. Feeling great now and seem to be getting a second wind. The tiredness has even gone. Had the 12 week u/s last week for downs etc and have been a little anxious but today we got the results and every thing is fine, one healthy bouncing bub. So relieved I just cried (eyeliner down the face). We got the photos and I will post them as soon as I figure is out. The radiologist wouldnt tell us the sex BUT in one of the photos I'm sure theres a little weener there. Hopfully you all will be able to see to and then it wont be all in my head. LOL. Back onto the preg. situation, one think I have noticed is that I have become extremley vauge. Forget the simplest things that I know for sure. Like picked my son up for work at night last week and forgot to turn the lights on the car, then wonder why is everyone beeping at me, putting the milk in the cuboard and the saucepans in the fridge. My doctor said that the baby is eating my brain and I'm becoming brain dead. LOL( I have a great doctor with a sence of humor) Thank god my d/h has sence of humor too or we'd be in trouble. No husband want to find his beer in the cuboard & not the fridge right before the footy game...........................

The new picture is of me at 15 weeks. I still cant figure out how to get photos on this site, very fustrating!!!! Dont thing firewall will allow. I am quite big for me at this stage but apparently that is because I am carrying the placenter at the front.

Birth story

After 3 days of labour (very fustrating) on the 25th jan at 1.33pm little Coen was born. Weighting 8 pound 7 and 53cm long.

I had a show on tuesday afternoon. YA! finally progress. A hour later I started to get contractions around every 30 to 20 mins but not consistant. Some contractions lasting from 10 sec to 40 sec. Bub was in a posterior position, facing the placenter which was facing the front. On the third night my physio told me to get on all fours and craw around which finally DID make his back swing to the front. YAAAY! BUT! my god, when he finally got in postion which was 11.33 pm at night my contractions started to kick in aand went from 20mins apart to 1 mins apart in 1 and 1/4 hours. We just made it to the hospital which was scary I felt like pushing in the car but held off. We got to the hospital and went to emergency ward because we had no idea where the labour ward was because the hospital was doing renevations. Contractions now 30 sec appart. They put me in a wheel chair and rushed me to the delivery room where the midwife showed up and checked me. she said how dilated do you think you are. I thought maybe a 4???? Nope 8cm. With that, on came three of the most amazing contractions I have ever felt. She gave me the gas and told me to breath deep and relax. I could feel my body start to push the baby out by itself. Meanwhile My husband got gloved up and ready to deliver his son. with in 20 mins all up, our son started to crown.I had to be cut so I wouldnt tear. Bubs head came out and thats when the midwife realised that the cord was wrapped around his throat not once but twice. Hubby clamped and cut the cord then proceeded to deliver his own son all by him self. Unfortunatly bub was not breathing and my husband and the midwife had to administer oxygen. I have never been so scard in my whole life. It took two mins to get bub resusitated which felt like forever. Then bub squeezed hubbys finger with his little hand to let us know he was alive, opened his eyes and looked up, we just cried.

Well we're home now and bub is as healthy as an ox. He only lost 100gms after birth which is excellent and now has exceeded his birth weight. Its amazing how such a little person can take up all your time and create sooo much washing and I just love every little minute of it..........

hahahaha you crack me up!! Mick loves the butt... more tushin for pushin is his theory. i have got the bigest belly, bought a new stretchy t-shirt the other day, thought it looked ok until mum commented that i look almost nine months pregnant but my arse balances me out... hahaha i laughed and she blushed (i think she realized what she had said!) i really don't care i am a happy as a pig in shit at the moment! glad everything is going well with you. the baby name thing is a challange - we have got a A4 piece of paper on the fridge with names on it and we just add to it if we hear something we like. mick and i are a bit old fashioned in the name game with names like sam, will, anthony, riley and ash for boys. ava, ella, jorja and laura for girls. let me know what you recon. anyway take care of you and bubba hope everything keeps going well

I am loving this stage of being pregers everything is going so well. hope everything is going well for you. When do you finish uni for the year? i bet you are looking foward to that. Its now getting hot and i bet we are both in for hot summers this year.... which equals lots of quality time floating round in the pool fending off greenpeace!!! hahaha thats why i won't be going to the beach!!! My sick sense of humour i am afraid... anyway take care of you and your little man, big congrats , chat to you soon. ps ultrasound i had showed bub due on 20th jan, so we are both in the big baby department!!

Sorry, you've probably HAD the baby by the time I have a chance to respond, LOOL!! I would say to go by you LMP. The machines are guestamating and are well known for inaccuracy when it comes to dating as well as baby weight. BUT, remember that how long your cycles are will determine WHEN you concieved, which is why a DD is called an 'ESTIMATED DUE DATE'. Because it can vary by 2 wk.'s give or take. So if you have a long cycle, shorter ovulation time & visa versa. The whole ovulation thing is GREAT research I tell ya :) Which is why it doesn't do any good to stress out over being 'OVER DUE'. It's how most women who plan for a natural birth get talked into inducement & end up with an ER C-sec. It's not hard to convince a woman who is already fed up with pregnancy to get induced, lol! But because their body fights the inducement, (wasn't TIME), it causes stress or complication & the baby HAS to be cut out. Let me know how it goes huh, will pray for a GREAT birth for you & yours. Keep me posted, Alisha

By the way....if you ask admin how to add the pics they are very helpful. I had a problem too. You need to host your photos on another photo hosting site -- i use photobucket.com. Then from there, you copy the html or the photo into your page here....

Thanx for the help. I asked my doc with the last pregnancy if he thought I was being silly getting one for home use when he said to me that us mums are not always able to catch the heart beat and then cause further stress because of that -- so I never got one!!! Now being pregnant again, it seems a lot more popular for moms to be getting them....not sure about here....but just what ive seen on this site. We only get what they call BebeSounds which is cheap and you can only pick up a beat from 6mths. Anyway Oz is a bit faaar from home - was looking more at the states....thanx anyway. ;)

hiya mums, could you please tell me what you paid for your doppler and what make it is? Im trying to source a reasonably priced one to sell here in South Africa.....thanx and all the best on the rest of your preggers. I know my little one isn't kicking as much either!!

BellyDancer - Tuesday, 21 Aug
Thanks for the support :D I really apreciate it! I have several disc's in my back that are collapsed, so, 'interventions' wouldn't be good in my case. Plus I know God designed our bodies to do this whole miraculous event, & as smart as a doc is, his technology can be completely wrong! That being said, I HOPE IT'S SOON, lool!! Congratulations on your pregnancy. So how many children do you have from your first marriage, you didn't say in your story?

Happymommy2be - Friday, 10 Aug

It's okay! I am so glad to be showing too. An actual baby bump and not just a bigger tummy! Today my feet hurt so badly that I cannot bear to put weight on them! I called my doctor and left a message, so hopefully they will get back to me soon!
