My journey to get here 3/7/09

I have on 7 yr. old boy , who is the joy of my life!! He is so sweet and caring and so excited to be a big brother again (his dad and step mom have a 1 1/2 yr. old rlittle girl). My husband and I were married on Aug. 10, 2007. Immediately started to try to conceive. We found out we had gotten pregnant on either our wedding night or honeymoon. Sadly, at 6 1/2 weeks, I miscarried. This was devasting, we were due Mother's day weekend. Again we tried, conceiveing in one weeks worth of trying. We were so happy to make it to 9 weeks but when we went in for our first ultrasound, we were told that the baby had died at 6 1/2 weeks. I had to have a D&E, it was awful. We decided to wait a few months and try again. Finally, we are here. 16 weeks!! The first 3 months were a complete rollercoaster ride of emotions but I am so thankful everyday that we are here. Everyday is a milestone, relieved to make it to the next.

Both my husband (his first child) and son are hopping for a boy, I don't care either way, as long as it gets here safely:) The rest of both of our families are hoping for a girl, my huband has 1 neice and 4 nephews. My son is one of 15 grandchildren on my side, but there are 3 more boys than girls, I think my family just want the number "evened out". We'll see in a few weeks, but I think it would be funny not to tell them and make them wait. I'll have to think about that.
