Lose 35 lbs by Christmas of 2008! (starting August 12th, 2008)
September 24, 2008
my family has been suffering a chest cold for a few days now and it's been awful. poor julian sounds so awful when he cries...it's all quiet , you can tell he's got a soar throat... but I think that we are all starting to get better. We're in the process of trying to get julian to roll over. he doesn't even try when he's on his back but he tries when he's on his tummy cause he hates it so much. he still isn't close to sitting up on his own, but that's okay. when he does all of theses things on his own, i won't be ablr to cuddle with him as much cause he's going to try to roll right out of my arms! I'm not ready for that.
i've lost a total of 13 lbs that i know of... i haven't exersiced in a long time, but i continue to lose weight from eating healthy. and this cold will leave me with 6 pack abs from coughing so much haha! I'm feeling somewhat confident. I still look in the mirror most of the time and feel like i haven't lost a single pound. but chicks are just like that i guess. only 3 more lbs to my pre preg weight and then after that it's just getting rid of the excess. it's actually coming off faster than I thought it would! I think that my weight loss goal is possible by christmas. i have my fat days every once in a while, but it's only days. I had chinese the other day and i felt so awful after i ate it cause i knew it was unhealthy.
that's all for now!!!
August 22, 2008
Well, I've lost 4 lbs in the past week and a half... you're suppose to weight yourself in the morning, and I weighed myself at night so hopefully it's a little more than that! Julian is doing well. His colic is starting to subside a little. He's just the cutest when he smiles at us and he love to stick out his tongue at his daddy. He also does the superman move when we put him in the air. Arms back, legs up, he is so so strong!
/\ POST BIRTH!!! /\
May 31, 2008
Well... not much progress at 38 weeks! And hubby decided that he wanted to wait another week before we try to have baby Julian.
Last week I dealt with alot of depression. I was sad that I wasn't making any progress and I had gained alot of weight... After being completely miserable for a few days even to the point of avoiding my husband, I decided that I couldn't do it. I couldn't be that person. So, I set a goal, something to look forward to.
My husbands birthday is June 8th. If I had Julian around that date then I would be completely estatic. Also, my sister in laws birthday is the same day and I love her to death. My sisters birthday is the day before and hubby's sister's birthday is the day after! The 7th, 8th, and 9th! Of course, I wouldn't be sad at all to go into labor on the 6th, so he'll have his own day. BUT! In the end I guess It's Julian who makes the final decision when he's going to come out.
I haven't been sleeping well at all... I wake up a million times a night and just lay there and I'll fall asleep for a little while and wake right back up. Kinda irritating, but I know you girls have the same feelings too... Sucks.
ANYWAY... 38 weeks and 4 days today. Hopefully this little guy will be born in 6-10 days.
I'll remember to enjoy the time that my hubby and I have alone in the quiet. And I'll cherish our time together alone.
May 21, 2008 Well... I guess it's been a few weeks. Yes, I spent another day at the hospital a week after the last incident, but obviously they stopped it. Now when I get contractions I take Turbutaline. The stuff sucks. Makes you really shakey and gives you heart palpitations... Anyway.
I'm sure you've read my comment about sex. My husband (yes my husband, I'm married now!) and I figured out that every time we have sex, I have contractions and go into labor. It's nice to know that cause I'm thinking that I would like to have the baby on the 30th or 31st of May. Give it a round of rough sex and maybe I'll pop out a little baby. What makes them, makes them come out... who would have thought.
Weight gain is up to 27 lbs, which was my target weight gain for the whole pregnancy. Guess I'm doing pretty good since I didn't gain any weight at the last dr.s appointment. YES! Hopefully it will stay there.
Just another thing on my mind. A new friend of mine had a baby about 8 months ago. (I met her through my husband, it's his friends girlfriend). Well, we really hit it off and I think that we may be spending alot of time together when baby is born. Doing the mommy thing. Taking baby out to the state park to walk around and shed any extra weight that I've accumulated. I figure that It's easier to do when you have a friend joining you, that's trying to accomplish the same thing. In all truth I'd like to get down even lower than my pre-pregnancy weight. I've always looked perfect at 150.... DAMN. That's going to be alot of walking...
Will keep updated!
By the way, just wanted to say that I finally set up the crib/bassinette tonight. Had to put a blanket on it in case the cat tries to sleep in it.
May 4, 2008 Garth and I spent 20 hours in the maternity ward at Riverside on May 3rd to 4th.
My contractions started at 4:30 pm on the 3rd and I thought it could have been temporary, so i went to work anyway. Work was excruciating so when I got off we headed to the hospital to find that I was already 3 cm. dilated. Needless to say that wasn't good because I'm only 34 weeks and they gave me medicine to stop the labor. Contractions
stopped at 4:30 in the morning and good thing too, we were both
exhausted. Most of the 4th was spent monitoring to make sure that i
wasn't advancing any. And I didn't. So by the time that it's
all said and done, I'm 4 cm. dilated and hoping that baby Julian
doesn't make a surprise visit before the wedding. And I'm done working too. It's too much physically after what just happened.
But for now we're all okay! We'll keep you updated!
April 25, 2005 Okay, we're at a 20 lb. weight gain and I have to say that I'm not that ashamed of it. I know that a lot of people gain like 30-40 lbs in their first pregnancy, but I haven't and that makes me happy. Baby is doing very good. I remember when I used to go to sleep and love it when he moved and now when I change positions at night I pray that he doesn't wake up. He's so strong that he'll keep me awake. I want to cherish my sleep before he's born. Still don't have any stretch marks on my tummy, but I have a feeling that they will be coming soon. Urgh. I don't want them. But mom and sister got them, so I might as well too. Next baby shower is April 27th! I'm really excited because there will be alot of people there. Hopefully I can catch up on the bottles and pacifiers because at my first shower I got one bottle and not a single pacifier. How crazy is that?
GETTING MARRIED IN 2 WEEKS ONE DAY!
April 14, 2008 Just a song that I've been listening to. Getting Married May 10th and it makes me think of my fiance. Still don't know the weight of my baby. But everyone tells me that I'm getting big fast. I don't really feel like it though. But I trust their judgement.
Jason Mraz- I'm yours
April 7, 2008 Another Dr.s Appointment... AH! I gained 4 lbs! That makes a total of 17.5 lbs. I need to stop doing that. Good news though, baby is head down and I'm measuring good! Baby Julian seems much more active now. Especially at night when I lay down. But it's a good sign that he's developing correctly! Two baby showers coming up! BABY STUFF! I've been so excited about this for months! 31 weeks+6 days today! It's flying by!

storm826 - Monday, 20 October congrats on the job and new apartment!
nmck - Sunday, 12 October Hey Girl! I have been reading a lot about sleep and night feedings. My doc says I need to feed whenever he wants b/c he is only 13 pounds, so i won't try any of this for a while. But Julian is bigger so, why not reduce the amount you offer him? If he typically eats 4 oz, make a 3 oz, and a 2 oz bottle. Make his first wake up 3 oz, and his next wake up two. Then, on the 6 hour wake up, give him his full four. After a couple nights, start making a 2 oz and a 1 oz bottle for the off hours. Maybe you can break him of the habit of waking up every two hours and get him used to every 6? If you decided to try it, let me know how it goes. Either way, good luck!! I hope your husband is getting up too!
MOMMABEAR987 - Sunday, 12 October ugh i got up to 223 and I swear i had an emotional break down when i hit that 200 mark, i was so embaresed. Even though I knew there was a sweet healthy bear in there, i couldnt believe i was over 200:{ I was 154 when i met my hubby and i looked really good at that weight and i am determend to get there again! My hubby always tells me i look good, but its sad cause i know i dont, and im totally deppressed about it
dancinmama - Tuesday, 7 October Don't stress about the thumb sucking - it has its benefits too. Like he will be able to soothe himself in the middle of the night - you won't have to get up and put a paci in his mouth. Or spread half a dozen pacis around his crib at night hoping he will find one for himself. Or worry about when he is old enough him throwing them out of the crib and then "crying" for you to get them. I've had one thumb sucker and one pacifier baby - there are pros and cons to both. #3 has found her fingers and refuses the paci - guess she will be a finger sucker too. By the way, she has the same neat birthday as yours - 06/07/08! :)

Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

raebabe - Monday, 15 September Way to go!! I think you look great. Keep it up. If you make this progress by not doing a whole lot, imagine if you were exercising??!!??!! Have a great day :)
kirra82 - Sunday, 14 September Hey I just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss and I know what your going through, I am also on a serious diet to rid all these extra pounds :( I am 5ft 3in and weigh 162lbs and my BMI is 29.6 so I would like to lose at least 25lbs by christmas, I feel so happy to have a beautiful baby but at the same time I am so depressed cause this is the biggest Ive ever been... I have a separate page for my weight loss, profile name is Kirra822. I have just started Weight watchers, so here goes..... good luck to you and keep me updated. Oh by the way your pics look great, your belly is already flat...
nmck - Wednesday, 10 September Hey! I know how you are feeling. I had a colicky reflux baby too. I swear it is the biggest test my patience has ever had, and I used to get so much anxiety when Bobby was leaving in the morning that I had to be home by myself all day long with him. I would also call Bobby around 4 and ask when he would be home! I have my family very close by so I would often go hang out with my mom and my teenage sisters were on summer break too. If not for that I would have gone CRAZY!! Can you afford a babysitter a couple mornings a week or something so you can get a break? But you are not a bad mom. Colic and Reflux would test Jesus's patience too. I hope the colic clears up soon. Michael's did a couple fo weeks ago and he became a different kid! Now he is cutting teeth and I have flashbacks to the colic and wonder how I survived it every night!
storm826 - Monday, 8 September actually maxis (the makers of sims 2) have some kind of security feature in the game. basically if you don't have the original sims 2 cds when playing the game you can't access the build and buy modes. i managed to get a bootleg copy first and then ended up forking over the money because i got hooked. i'm a bit of a gamer (though that pasttime is on hold now b/c of the baby, lol) so forking over large sums of money for videogames is nothing new to me, lol. unfortunately i had bought the game for a pc that i no longer have a lot of access to and i haven't been able to bring myself to rebuying the game on mac format...
knockoutmom - Sunday, 7 September wow 7 ounces? we were just talking about how it seems like riley wants to eat sooner than every 3 hours nowadays but she spits up some when we do the usual 6oz so we're afraid that if we gave her anymore she would spit it up. shes a chubby one, too! i love it! your so lucky julians colic is getting better. rileys is still pretty much the same. maybe a tad bit better. but definitly not gone! i love her to death but some days im just so over it!! hopefully she will calm down soon. i had to go on antidepressants. ive been an emotional wreck lately. its nice though cause it completely takes away your appetite so ive been eating hardly a thing! i lost 7 more lbs!! yay! the stretch marks are still hell though. oh well, one day theyll hopefully fade.
storm826 - Saturday, 6 September lol i love the sims! have u tried sims 2? its so much more fun than the original! but i gotta say, isn't life much easier in the sims? pregnancy lasts like 4 days and babies don't require all that much attention!
mariela14 - Monday, 1 September Hey! Things are going great. My little guy is growing like crazy and sweet as ever. I moved from New York to Philly where I don't have a computer so I only get to use it when I come back up to visit! Anyways, hope you're doing great! How's everything with the little guy?
collsbaby - Sunday, 31 August Hi I saw your post about feeling guilty if you eat over 1000 cal in one day...are you breastfeeding? That isn't enough to eat!!
tto - Friday, 29 August Hello! Found your page on the two month old page. I was surprised when I clicked one month only to realize he will be two months tomorrow. Anyway, I'm writing for two reasons- I will be experimenting with nutramigen (I BF now, but want a good backup for when I go back to work). Well, I saw on Ebay LOTS of nutramigen- cans, ready mix, and coupons. So wanted to let you know about that to save some money. The second reason is that I noticed your weight loss efforts and I was wondering if you are doing a certain type of diet or if you are doing your own thing. I'm interested in doing it with you. Let me know! :)
raebabe - Tuesday, 26 August I created my weight loss chart too....how do you show it on this page?? I was just able to show the link not the actual chart. Way to go on the 4 lbs!!! That's awesome..keep it up!
