BIRTHSTORY ON BLOG
39 Weeks Pregnant

It is lovely to meet you! I am married to a dairyfarmer
and live in the south island of New Zealand, within a stones throw of the Southern Alps.I am a mother of 7. I have 5 boys and 2 girls, a son 18, a son 17, a daughter 13, a son 11, a son 3 1/2, and another son almost 2, and my seventh baby, a girl, born on the 29th of May 2008. I
I started having children when I turned 20.
The two older ones have left home and are working, and the 11 year old lives with my first husband(you see,it is almost like having two separate families, there is a nine year age gap, between the fourth and the fifth child).
My 13 going on 30 daughter lives with me, and my 3 year old and two year old and 2 week old daughter, live with me, the littlest ones are from my present marriage.
So, it is not that hard when you look at it, if I had 7 young kids together it would be a handful and I don't know how I would put up with that, lol!
My second husband and I,werent planning on having children, in fact, he was told years ago, he had more chance of winning lottery than getting anyone pregnant. And we believed this to be true for four years with unprotected sex, and then wham bam, along came number 5, pregnant, in the year we were planning on marrying. We still got married, and I was 6 months pregnant, I was hardly showing so, I looked as if I wasn't pregnant, which was great! Then 4 months after the birth of my fifth baby, I fell pregnant with my sixth, and then 18 months after the sixth, whoa and behold, I am pregnant with number 7!
I love to chat, and would love to form a friendship with other women due around the same date as me, or women who are older, or who have had lots of kids, but I happy to meet anyone, I would love to hear from you!
Ka kite Ano
Here are some pictures of New Zealand, I hope you enjoy them........
I have a variety of birth experiences all vaginal, I have had two homebirths and with some of my births I have had an epidural to cope with the pain.
As I have experienced birth without pain relief and with, I would like to state that anyway you choose to give birth at the time it happens, will always be right for you, and never ever feel you failed if you planned a non-medicated birth and end up having one, you are not a failure, you are an incredible woman, who has just given birth to a miracle, clever girl!
I have started this pregnancy site a little late in the piece, but will add from 21 weeks and give regular postings to keep you all updated on my pregnancy and eventually the birth of the little one. A few years ago, I broke my tailbone twice in one year and have had bad back problems since then. I had my second homebirth with my fifth child, and is was a very unpleasantly painful experience because of my back issues, the back pain was so bad I could hardly stand it. With my last labour, the same back pain started up, so I opted for pain relief, although I felt back pain right before I pushed the baby out. The last labour was 13 hours to full dilation, but once I was fully dilated the baby was born in literally seconds, the midwifes had to catch the baby before he went off the end of the table!
