The stuff you have b4 you have the baby is Colostrum, it's the b4 milk and isn't really milk at all but a protien substance that will come out in just a few drops every now and then or when you squeeze it out. about a week after you have your baby your real milk will come in. Until the the baby eats the little bit of colostrum that your breasts make and most babies even lose weight the first week, but then they catch back up! don't let anyone make you feel like it will never happen! It takes alot of time and patience! Don't give up the first 3 weeks it gets alot better over time! Smiles!! :)

With my 1st prego I would produce a drop or two of milk after month 8. But once they were born (twins) it took me almost a week to have enough milk for the two of them. After birth is when you are supposed to produce milk!
Don't worry. You will see you will be just fine. Just make sure you ask for a breastfeeding consultant to help you with the 1st time and get the Lansinoh cream so you wont get all sore =)

About the breastfeeding comment, note that it is not 'normal' to be producing milk at this point. Some women do, and this is OK, but not normal. Really, you should not be leaking anything at this point, since the hormones that make the milk come in should be at extremely low levels. It's not until you give birth that the hormones increasing, causing the glandular tissue in the breasts to produce milk. Don't worry, it will come!!!

Hello darling, I sent out a similar question re the breatfeeding thing a few weeks ago. I have had no chnage in breast size since becoming pregnant and I don't have any tenderness or anything. You don't realise just how sad that made me as throughout life, I have been relying on pregnancy to give me some size but no - small B cups all the way. Then I thought, 'shit' everyone else has grown and seem to be leaking colostrum apart from me. But it turns out that sometime in the next few weeks the changes occur and if they don't then when you place your baby on the breast after birth it starts to come. If theat don't work then it's straight to the bottle. I being a naturopath believe that nothing is better than b-milk but what can you do? Pray the the breastmilk gods and hope they deliver, I am already wondering what kinda prayer they will listen to. Good luck and let me know how you get on, I'll be sure to inform you of any changes. It's very frustrating isn't it!

You will not produce milk until a few days after the baby is born. Usually 3 or 4 days. Your breasts won't even feel full until then so don't worry. I have BF 4 children and this will be my fifth and I don't have full/leaking breasts until 3 days after baby is born.

I'm sorry about your loss, first and foremost.

I told my sister in law to tell her friend not to get her hopes up......she's already going out and buying pink. She desperaltely wants a girl and personally I think she's being scammed by the people who did the scan. Hopefully she takes the words to heart and calms down with the items she's buying cause I have a feeling if they do another scan later on and she finds out that she's having a boy, that she'll be devestated.

ya, mine is super stubborn we just decided 2 dayss ago on a boys name (we had a girls since the day we found out) but he hated every name i ever came up w/. we finally agreed on Ryan Michael Keith because he had a brother named Scott Ryan who died shortly after birth due to prematurity so we liked ryan and michael just flows with it. good luck1

OK...why don't you have eggs now? You are the second person who said eggs sunny side up...I ate that yesterday! Is that on the 'bad to eat' list?????
