"WE ARE HAVING A BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY"

Hello and welcome to my page. My husband and I are very excited about our new bundle of joy that will be joining our family in April. This is my first child and I am very excited. I can not wait to meet the little person who is growing inside of me. Girl or Boy...I don't care as long as our baby is Healthy!-:)

I just can't wait until I start really showing....I am getting bigger but I haven't completely formed my pregnant belly just yet...I can't wait to see how I look pregnant, lol. I do need to start buying some bigger clothes especially for work because these clothes are fitting kind of snug these days, lol!-:)

I hope to have pictures on my page soon. Again...thanks for visiting and stop back soon.

Page Update: I have updated my page to include a picture of my baby boy Teddie, my 3 year old Yorkshire Terrior. How did I forget to include him???? I love him and can't wait for him to meet the new addition to our family.

The Sansom Family!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

I just had my second c-section 2 weeks ago and I feel great. My first child was breeched so I had to have a section and my second child's heart rate was dropping every contraction and so I had to have a repeat section and I feel fine. I am able to care for both of my children quite well. I was hoping for a vaginal delivery this time but it didn't work out that way. My advice is to keep moving even when it hurts. Not too much but don't just lay around. Your muscles will recover quicker if used. I have a friend who had a c-section and was doing pilates after 3 weeks. There is pain but it is manageable. The first few days are the hardest but once you are able to move around it subsides. Another plus is you don't bleed as long :) I am not trying to condone c-sections but I also didn't want you to worry about it either. I hope you get the vaginal birth that you want!! If you have any questions just write on my page. I hope this helps!!

Have you had an ultrasound lately to see where the babies head is? If the baby is face up, you will not go into labor. My baby was face up and same with some other girls on this site...I gave them the same advice my cousin who is a midwife gave me that worked for her. Get on all fours (like doggy style) butt up in the air. I actually did this on my bed and held my chin in my hands and watched tv in this position for 20 mins. I felt my baby turn, you may not, but look at the comments on my page.. it works if this is the reason your no going in labor, or if you're not sure it doesnt hurt to try it!!! Lemme know! (I've also had a c-section, recovered in 2 wks including hospital stay, the more you move the quicker you heal)

your welcome, good luck with your labor! let me know how it goes :)

krpincincinnati - Monday, 5 May
I have had 2 c-sections and am going on my 3rd. The first one wasn't bad. It was easy enough that I actually planned another baby and got pregnant when he was only 12 wks old so he could have a playmate! The 2nd one was a little harder to recover from because it was an emergency c-section AND I had a 13month old to care for. Hopefully you won't need one but if you do, best wishes and good luck.

Hey there,
Just wanted to comment on your last message. I'm on my third baby and with my first two they didn't drop until I was in labour. I delivered them both naturally, so I wouldn't worry too much. I have a week to go and this one hasn't dropped either. Good luck with everything. :)

My doctors have always told me that the baby doesnt usually become engaged untill you go into labor! my pregnancy books say the same, and i am a research nerd LOL! some first time moms have engagement before labor, but alot dont.If you dont go into labor on your own in the next few days,i would try asking for an induction before c-section! alot of times all the baby needs is some good regular contractions to come right down! when i was in labor with my son aaryn it was a natural labor and he was high,so when they broke my water they pushed his little bum manually to help him move down and they checked on a portable ultrasound machine to make sure everything was good with the cord.the labor went great! if you want a natural labor i say push for it! unless the baby is too big ,i think you still have a fair chance! hope this helps and good luck to you hun :)

my baby did not drop into the birth canal until i went into labor.
do what you feel is right.

C-sections suck! I'm hoping neither one of us has to have one. I had one with my 2 year old because his heart rate went down with every contraction. His cord was wrapped around his neck. It took about 4 weeks to recover. You will need lots of help because it is a major surgery so you will experience lots of pain. Hopefully your bundle of joy will offset some of the pain as mine did. Good luck and lots of labor dust to you!!

Thank you girl! Its amazing how you love the baby inside you for all of those months and then once their here, you can't imagine your life without them! Instantly! I am breastfeeding girl. I won't lie to you, its really hard at first. It was a little frustrating trying to get Kamryn to latch on at first but you'll be amazed how patient you will be when the time comes. I really took advantage and used the lactation specialist to sit there with me a couple of times to ensure that I was doing it correctly. Not sure if you took any classes, but I took 2 classes and I still needed that extra reassurance that I was doing it correctly. Its scary because you can't tell how much their getting. She's a really quick learner girl and lives to please mama right now and she is now a champ! It is the cutest thing to watch. All that adorable baby boy will want to do is please you and you'll be able to see it from the beginning.

Here are a couple of things that I had to find out on my own that noone told me -

1. When your milk comes in, your breast will begin to get really lumpy. You'll almost feel like you're getting breast cancer or something because you can feel the small balls inside of your breast. The nurse says, if I massage the milky lumps in my breast then the milk will probably come out sooner from being stimulated.

2. Don't worry that he's not getting enough from your breast. His only job right now is to suck the colostrum and initiate the milk process in your breast. His belly at birth will be the size of a walnut so there's only so much that can fit in there anyways. So please don't worry yourself girl.

3. Breastfeeding doesn't hurt if he does it correctly. If he only sucks on your nipple, it'll feel painful, like a small needle being stuck into your nipple. He should suck the areola around your nipple and that's not painful at all. Plus, that's where the milk is stimulated from. I learned that from class and if you took one or done research, which I'm sure you have, I'm sure you knew that as well, but I just wanted to confirm how true it is.

Well, that's my immature knowledge for today since I'm a 2 day mommy - LOL! so good luck honeybunch! Please let me know how things work out for you!

Talk to you soon!

Yes girl, still pregnant and ready to have this baby. For the last two weeks in a row, I've been 1cm dilated, but she has only dropped a little. Good thing is, I've been scheduled to be induced on Wednesday since all she's doing is getting fatter in there. Two weeks ago, she was right at 7 lbs and since she's beyond fullterm, the doctor says that she's at the point where she's gaining a half a pound a week now. She decided to induce me because the bigger she gets, the harder it will be to push her out so its really no need to put any extra strain on me since she's already developed. I agree, because 40 full weeks is long enough in my opinion to be pregnant - LOL! Let me know how things work out at your next appointment. Or maybe you'll get lucky and have him before hand. Keeping my fingers crossed for you girlfriend!

Good luck with your appointment today. Let me know if you've progressed! Its funny how excited we all get for each other this late in the game - even though we all want to go into labor ourselves - we also get just as (well almost just as) excited to see one of your new online preggo friends progress!!!

Thank you for your comment - I just got back from the doctor. My blood pressure is slightly elivated - but not too bad. No protein in my urine. There's no real explanation as to why I keep seeing spots - he told me to stay off of my feet and we'll keep our eye on it... The baby's head and shoulders are engaged so that explains the hip and pelvic pressure... as well as the baby's slowing of movement. Doc says she can only move her legs now so it's normal to not feel her move much. We officially scheduled induction for May 13th with the hospital. I go in at 5PM on May 12th to be admitted... Not much longer now!

thx. i can't really decide. i will wait till she's born.

girl-from-oz - Sunday, 6 April
no probs re: pain relief info
I just liked the part in which it says that no matter how dialated, you can still have an epi. Its just that most hospitals prefer not to give you anything after 6cm. When you think about it, if it was for an emergency C-section they would.
Im going to put that on my birth plan!
luck X

Randi - Thursday, 3 April
Thank you! I am really excited, just hope that his lungs will be good to go by then. I can not wait to see him and hold him! I'm not even nervous, but that will probably come Friday morning...lol. It helps that I totally trust my doctor, so maybe I'll be able to stay calm and not get nervous!
