I'm having my cerclage taken out on the 16th. I have the shirodkar and I'm thinking that I wont even dilate at all because there will be scare tissue.
After removal-how did you fare with any residual pain?

Hi there, well this is my 2nd and the doctor told me he wouldnt sweep until at least 40 weeks, when he left the nurse said dont worry i will do it on the 27th, which is my next appointment, but thats only 2 days before my due date, so think thats why, think they really need to cover their backs and thats why they dont do it, usually with ur first ur late anyway, so maybe they are keepin that in mind as well, sorry if thats not the greatest advice, i could be wrong, good luck x

Hey there, ive just come across your question while looking in the week 38 forum about gettin a sweep....one of my midwives told me that she wouldnt do one on me until i was at least a week overdue (although she is a bit of a miserable cow!) but ive also spoke to a couple of girls on here (also from the uk) and some of them have said their midwife wont do one until they're 10 days over!! Im 2 days over now though and ive got an appointment with one of my (nice) midwives tomorrow and she said she's do one for me then even though il only be 3 days over.
I suppose you could always explain your situation and ask coz you are considered full term from 37 weeks. Well, your baby wont be considered premature if born now i mean.
Not sure whether ive helped at all or not. Good luck though! x

Yeah we definitly need to O-D on my Labor dust..lol.. I keep hoping there is some sign of labor..and blah..nothing.. i pray im one of those people it just happens to.. And i hope it happens today..Everyday.... My little girl is stubborn.. I hope we go soon.. xo

i do the primrose vaginally.. I dont know if it helps ill find out next wed. been doing it bout a week now..I take 2 orally in the am..and 2 vaginally pm..

I was told today to take it vaginally but I am not going to start until Saturday. I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow and the last thing that I want is to be laying there relaxing and then this huge cramp comes over me lol
