Congrats. Try not to stress about your BF. Don't get me wrong he was totally wrong for that, but try giving him his space. I learned a long time ago men want to be around you more when you don't try to make them. He is probably nerves and needs to release through his band. I would try to focus on the baby and when he says he's going tell him okay and see how he reacts. The next time let him know you need him around but if her thinks he can make it back home when the time is here then okay. He will definitely see you different and change up his attitude a bit.

Been there it totally sucks... BUT I was strong enough to leave the situation and concentrate only on my baby and myself. Now I have a real man in my life and it is such a shame that I even wasted a minute of my time worrying about my ex. My husband is an amazing man and I am so thankful to wake up to him everyday. He rushes home everyday to see all of his girlies. You deserve to experience a wonderful man, and let me tell you- this guy doesn't sound like he can produce. Maybe he is just scared of being a father... have you asked him how he feels? Maybe he is nervous or anxious and it is causing him to have a mega brain lapse.... be genuine, maybe he is scared and using his band as an escape....

havinababyinmay - Sunday, 20 April
I'll i have to say is "Jerk". Did he end up going? How long have you been with him? Is this how he allways acts?

johna - Saturday, 19 April
Sorry about your man, they can really be dicks sometimes! I see that he is 27, some people would say he is old enough to not be acting that way, BUT I assure you age does not matter in some cases. Some men never grow up. I will be praying for you. I went through a similar situation with my first child. He was 27 also....never grew up, and was an absolute waste of space. Needless to say he went on his merry way. I am now married to a wonderful man, that has adopted my daughter, and we have another little girl due to be born on Tuesday. Keep your head up, and don't let him get you down. If need be you CAN do it by yourself. Women are some strong creatures!!!!!!!!

You're almost there, I only noticed it go away when the baby was fully engaged, there are like 5 stations, you'll see it on you're notes what station you're at. It's a great feeling, you're rib pain and heartburn jut totally dissapear

triafrog - Saturday, 19 April
i have what seems to be rib pain in my back left, and it hurts so bad that I can no longer sleep today. Sitting up is the only thing that helps me :( hopefully this will all be over soon and we will get get our bodies back!

maybaby:) - Saturday, 19 April
hey---just saw ur question about the rib cage pain...I hear u sister!!! OMG! Its been the worst pain EVER..and i have to keep taking off my bra b/c no matter how big the bra is, it feels like its cutting into my ribs...theyre so sore. I guess its just our body types---or maybe we have really tall tabies?!

alex76 - Saturday, 19 April
Hi, yes I got the rib pains really bad last time and they are excruciating just now. Dont worry, once the baby engages which will be anytime soon the pain just disapears.

mercy - Friday, 18 April
I was 3cm dilated and 90%effaced for like a month and my daughter was two days pass due. I don't think you will go early, but every situation is different. Good luck

bigmommat - Friday, 18 April
for me contractions are down low in your belly and they can be painful. kind of like period cramps if you ever had them.
I had a big contraction yesterday and i was like gimme the drugs already lol
but i wasnt too worried this is my 3rd babes in less then 4 years so i kind of know what to expect.
I had both my kids within 9 hours of labour starting.
I didnt go to the hospital with my first until my contractions were about 3-4 minutes apart.
Good Luck.
I cant wait to meet my little guy either!

jlspoonylove - Friday, 18 April
Hey girl. You will know when its time to go to the hospital. There will be NO DOUBT that you should go. You will look @ b/f and say.. we gotta go! lol.. good luck. I cant wait either. This is just as bad as being a kid waiting for Santa to come.

bellakimmie - Friday, 18 April
Contractions are like really bad menstral cramps....or I think it feels like (pardon the rudeness) when you have to pooh really bad and you can't make it to the toilet and you get that sick cramping feeling. That's what I think it feels like. It'll also come in a wave, start off light and get worse and then end light. Good Luck!......You sooo lucky!

cutiger96 - Friday, 18 April
Sounds like you are on your way! How exciting. If the contractions are at regular intervals, start timing them. If they start getting closer together and more intense, you might want to call your OB or midwife. If you describe what's going on they can advise as to what to do. Good luck!!

MsBeenee - Friday, 18 April
I hope that I can tell you what contractions feel like. The real ones, this may sound dumb, but you will definitely know that your in labor because they will hurt so bad it will take your breath away and you wont be able to talk while it is happening. With false ones, they make your uterus ball up and tighten really hard and it may be uncomfortable for a minute but they should not hurt. Now some people say that when they are real the pain wraps around from the back to the front but I don't remember that. I just remember not being able to talk cause it is so much pain and they come like every 5 minutes and eventually faster. Think menstrual cramps times 20!! lol You'll definitely know something is going on trust me. Hope I helped!

jen943 - Thursday, 17 April
I am 50% effaced and 2 cm, and the midwife said that it has nothing to do with how soon you will go into labor, but when you do go into labor, there is less that you need to progress. Labor still could be long though because it could take hours to go from cm to cm.

snowwhite5thbabe - Thursday, 17 April
Effaced is how close your cervix is to being even with your uterus...almost there! And 2-3 cm means you are almost through the first stage of labor...which means when your real labor starts, it will just be a little shorter!

AmyO - Thursday, 17 April
I am 75% effaced and dialated the same as you. I know that it means your cervix are 80% gone...but my dr really wants me to hold out another week and he says it is possible. Are you having contractions? I am supposed to be on bedrest but I am not very good about it....I am pretty sure its not much longer now...keep us posted!

vickicantwait - Tuesday, 8 April
hey, i knd of understand what you're saying about not being used to the changes in your body; unlike you, i did not have the perfect body, but what i wouldnt give to have the body that I had lol! i would be even more bummed if i were slimmer to start with!!
my husband says that strech marks look like rasberry ripple ice cream, and what could be wrong with ice cream?? it made me smile :) good luck with everything xxx

lilmissred - Tuesday, 8 April
hey I read ur posting about cocoa butter and stretch marks.. have u seen the advertising for "Bio-Oil"??? they sell it at most drug stores.. I havent tried it but I swore if I saw 1 stretch mark I'd go out and get a bottle.. Ive seen it in Rite Aid Drugs its a little less than $20 but from what Ive read its hella good.. just thought I'd pass that bit of info along incase ur interested :o)

OurBabyBean0508 - Tuesday, 8 April
Heh. Welcome to motherhood. ;) My first gave me stretch marks that start about 4" under my breasts and cover my entire abdomen all the way down to my public bone. I probably have 50 or more. Thankfully this bub seems to have enough room inside to have only stretched out my old marks and has not made any "new" ones yet. Everything changes when you have that first baby. You're never really able to get the firm toned abs you had before pregnancy back again, once your milk goes your breasts sag and start staring at the floor, and downstairs? Well, I ripped so badly that I required 36 stitches to sew me back up. Now with all the scars I have something that looks like Frankenpussy! HAHAHA Plus, I think it took about 3 years to get the "tight" feeling back during sex. Children definitely do a number on us, but they ARE worth it I promise. :)

lovealways - Tuesday, 8 April
I know what you mean about strech marks, I have them all over from my other pregnancies. You name the location and they are there. They don't go away either. I feel like I was attacked by a Lion. I hate it and wish I could have a body that has no marks, but I know that will not happen. But I love my kids to death and would not change them for the world. I guess we have to look at the bright side even though I wish I could put on a bikini!!

homebysunset - Tuesday, 18 Mar
the KY touch massage works wonders, I gave up trying to get things going myself, the warming one just burns because of how sensitive we can get being pregnant, the tingling stuff is the best because it doesn't dry out... or when you get out of the shower sex seems to work a bit easier. hope this helps!

homebysunset - Monday, 17 Mar
maybe i took your comment differently but I thought you were talking about the 'sexual' wet, if so you're not alone. Write back if this is what you were talking about and I can give you a quick fix solution... it has worked for us so far :)

Valeriescheller - Monday, 17 Mar
hey! Read your post!
Yes, I have been 'wet' almost all the time since I was 26 weeks,
It was not my fluid but I did have labor stopped twice. My doc is really confused because the wetness is coming from my Vagina.. its not urine! But its not testing as amniotic fluid. She said I just might have more icky stuff than other pregnant woman! lol
If you have contractions, or if it's got any tint of color to it or smell Call your doc.
It could be fluid, or just Normal icky stuff!!
