Hi ! This is my first pregnancy and I am loving it. I am almost 17 weeks and I figure I had better start writing as I lose my memory! I freaked out a little bit last night because I finally connected 'being pregnant' to having an actual live baby FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! 23 more weeks just me and my fiance and after that.............. never just the two of us again! Kinda scary

I have had two ultrasounds so far and everything looks good. The first at 10 weeks when I paid for a private one because the two little lines on the stick and peeing in a cup just did not make it real enough for me. The second at 14 weeks, as I was moving and my doctor wanted to have a peek before I left. The third coming up at what will be just after 18 weeks with my new doctor where we wil hopefully get the sex. We are going to request it in an envelope, SEALED, and then we will go for a nice dinner for Valentines and open it together then! I will have a fourth [because I'm spoiled!] at 24-27 weeks which will be 3D at the private clinic again.

I have not taken any belly pics yet although I sure am growing!

No real kicks yet either, although I am one of those women who felt conception, and I have felt the baby in there the whole time, I have had flutters for abour 5 weeks, and I sometimes think I feel her flipping, but still waiting on kicks that I can share with Daddy, so, thats about it for now. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this and save it for my child to read one day.

Friday Feb 1st

First day of the new month! I feel as though I am peeing less throughout the night, but when I think about it I am probley just getting used to it.Marty has been in montreal for 3 days, he travels alot for business and I am usually fine with it, however this time I have felt very lonley... hormones!

I have TONS of healthy fruit and veggies in the fridge, but I am eating tons of carbs, and cheese! Pizza, nachos, yesterday I bought everything I needed for a great greek salad, but on the way home I stopped at the corner store and bought kraft dinner! Oh well, I beleive I will crave what I need, but that might just be a great excuse for eating whatever I want! I have gained about 10 pds at 17 weeks which my doctor says is perfect so it must be working for me! I have been very careful about taking my Materna to ensure basby has everything it needs. I can't wait to find out the sex in just over a week! I am hoping girl, however would feel just as blessed if it was a boy. I just want to know for sure then.......... let the buying begin!

Feb 15th

Well, Little kiddo would not open the legs and still remains sexless,! The tech said she SUSPECTS its a girl but could not confirm. That just doesn't cut it for me so I shedueled a private 3-D ultrasound for this upcoming Monday night, ready or not little one SPREAD 'EM!

I can't believe Im almost half way now, 19 weeks tomorrow!

I'll update again Tuesday and let you all know if Im right and its a little baby girl or of Daddy's right and its a boy!

FEB 19TH

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

YAAA, I KNEW IT!, BABY'S DADDY TOOK ME OUT FOR DINNER LAST NIGHT TO CELEBRATE!

HE is in shock, soo funny to watch him processing, like 'how do I keep the boys away from her?' and such all night!

I'm so excited, I knew all along but confirmation is nice!

it's a girl, It's a girl, la de da da da da it's a girl!

March 14th~

Marty felt her move last night for the first time. Right before bed she was kickin up a storm and he put his hand on my belly [again~] waiting..... waiting..... waiting..... and then boom! I said there, and he said, Ya I know I felt that, he sounded so Happy that I started giggling, because of that he missed the next couple of kicks, so I calmed down, and he felt her again. I am pleased that he finally felt her because I know he has been waiting [not so patiently] and feeling a little left out. other then that no big news except for a few days I felt like my guts were gonna fall out [cant think of a better way to describe what I was feelin] at first I was scared but after reading up a bit on this site it appears to be normal, now I am just takin it easier and it is feelin better. March 16th

it amazing, now that he felt her once she is kicking hard enough for him to feel everytime, I am excited because we move into our new place today which means........... you guessed it I finally get to start the nursary! I already have paint and everything juct cant wait ti get started!

April 24th

Long overdue........for an update~

Nursary is pretty much done, we love it. Baby girl kicks like crazy now ALL the time.` I love it!

Getting HUGE I have gained 30 pounds at 28 weeks! ouch.

doctor doesnt seem bothered though, and if she's not neither am I . lol

feet get sore in the evening. somthing in my back is wrong to as I cant bend over using my back after about 6 pm, but thats what my knees are for~ Martys gonna get me a pregnancy massage and Im sure that will be heaven. Going to BC [home] next weekend for my last visit before baby, weird to think that after that the next time I see my familey I will have my lil' baby girl.

Daddy is amazing [as usual] very supportive and let's me get away with everything!

Braxton hicks all day, every day, but no pain or discharge with them so apparently nothing to worry about.

20 degree celcius here and I am HOT not sure how Im gonna get through June but I have no choice so I will. more soon~
