On the same day that Grand Theft Auto came out, I found out that I was pregnant.

My husband was playing his new game in the living room, when, on a hunch, I went to CVS to get eye makeup remover and a preggers test just for the hell of it.

I had been having some menstrual-like cramps for a couple of days, but no period, and my boobs were more tender than usual (which always happens before my period.) I also mistakenly thought I was two months late, but it turns out the night I tested, I should have had my period around that time.

I had imagined grand plans of telling my husband we were expecting ... a cute card, telling him at a restaurant, leaving the positive test out on his dresser. But, nope. My panic kicked-in and it was totally unromantic.

I peed on the stick and watched it magically change before my very eyes.

Two lines.

Crap!!!

I yell for my husband to come in there, which interrupted his game-playing. He comes in expecting me to play a joke on him. When he meets me, though, I'm holding up the stick with the two pink lines and the test instructions.

"Look at this," I yell in a panic.

"I think I'm pregnant!!!"

We look at the box, which shows the lines closer together, so we were really doubting the results.

Dumb, huh?

We've taken over 6 tests and all were positive.

Okay, thanks that sounds great. I'll do that then. I'll just get there early. I thought it would be kinda strange to give them to them infront of everybody. Well, except my little sister b/c she's gonna want attention when she opens hers. lol But, she's 5!

Thanks I am thinking it was food poisoning, I still feel alittle ill today and very dizzy. Happily I still feel my little guy swimming around so that puts me at ease knowing he is okay and unharmed. :)

It's not hiccups but it's normal I asked somebody this b4 and I am just posting her answer to me for you.

I remember the hiccup conversation and it was a group quite a few weeks ago though. It was when we all first started having those funky sensations. They ARE NOT hiccups...hiccups are very regualar in timing (as in not quick or close together) but more like when an adult has hiccups. and your whole belly moves in the rhythm.

What she is describing is what I've lovingly referred too as "seizures".....it's like all of the sudden very quick , fast and jerky movement in ONE area. I've also started to refer to her as doing "river dance" in my stomach, since it's in one spot and very quick and sometimes strong.

What I have been told by my OB is #1, VERY NORMAL
#2 that they are very much like growth spasms or muscle spasms. AS the baby grows and the muscles and nerves are maturing, they will spasm just like an adults and we get those jerky movements. Plus they are still very cramped and they try to stretch, and the muscles can spasm then as well.
