you are feeling just as i am today..i have just been at work with my head on my desk. i thrw up all morning and now i just have a really queasy stomach. i bought some litte cheese crackers that has made it a little better. last night my 1 year old was just playing and i feel so bad because i wasn't giving her any attention, just letting her do her own thing. i don't think she mind tho.

Thanks! Yeah the nausea is getting to me, but I'm glad I have it so I know the baby is ok.

Congrats on your pregnancy!! I'm 6 weeks along, too. How is everything going for you? Morning sickness has hit me hard, and I don't like it!!! By the way, your son is absolutely adorable.

I feel like 3pm is an eternity away! lol I hope she could see the lil flutter on the u/s ... I'm going to beg her to do a u/s!! =) Once I know it's developing then I'll stop being such a beast! LOL

Nausea is better than vomitting! LOL... that's good!!!

Just remember that Dr. are only people who have been trained partially based off of other peoples opinions. Dr.s do lots of wonderful things but they are still only human. You need to make your own informed decision. I wouldn't wean my first baby either. Just let your Dr. know you are taking an additional calcium supplement along with your regular prenatal vitamins. Besides the baby takes whatever it needs from you so as long as you are doing what you can to be healthy you are ok. Also you can get lots of calcium from dark greens like kale, collard greens etc. Here is a brief answer to the question of baby getting enough http://www.drgreene.com/21_362.html Just remember whatever you decide stand your ground and discuss with your doctor the steps you plan to take to insure that the bay is fine. Good Luck! (here is another link)http://www.breastfeed-essentials.com/pregnant.html

Wow that was fast lol! Congratulations!

I saw your question on ttc while nursing. This is possible. My sister in law didn't wean her son until 4 weeks before her daughter was due. If you are not getting your period yet you could try feeding baby more solids and nursing less to see if that brings on ovulation. If you are getting them then go ahead and ttc there are lots of women who have a baby and continue to nurse the last baby. Good luck! check out this article you might find it interesting http://www.mothering.com/articles/new_baby/breastfeeding/tandem.html

UGH! gezz.. she just does not stop crying! Just when I think she is settling down and going to sleep she just pops up again and wails. But there have been a couple good moments where I just laid her down and she went to sleep. Last night was pretty bad though.. she woke up every 2 hours and would take about an hour to get back to sleep. I am going to stick it out though! Oh and she wont let me leave the side of the crib.. if I walk away to sit down in the middle of the room she will jump straight up, whereas if i stay by her she is more likely to fall asleep. sigh..

karensmommy - Monday, 25 August
well, the first night was rough, but i saw definite signs that she will be able to soothe herself to sleep. So I am hopeful! When she sat up, i automatically laid her back down, told her time to go to sleep then scratched her back 30 times and sat down. I did this over and over and over... eventually she just stayed laying and went to sleep. but she woke up a lot during the night- esp at 3 am when she stayed up for 1.5 hours crying... sigh.. i hope tonight is better!

karensmommy - Monday, 25 August
thanks so much! I plan on using theprocess tonight and see how it works. I was wondering what they suggest when she sits up or stands? Should I put her back down or leave her?

karensmommy - Sunday, 24 August
Thanks for the web site, I checked it out and I noticed it didnt say much of what was in the book. What are the things you can tell me? I am most curious about getting her to fall asleep on her own because I nurse her back to sleep all the time at night.
