My amnio was done after the triple screen blood test...around 20 weeks I believe (there was a chance of down syndrome). We thought we were having a boy because of the US images but the amnio results said 100% girl. The US I had had prior were too early to say for sure if it were a boy...but I have heard that they do make mistakes.

LOL I wish that was a sign of labor...Ive been mad at everyone forever LOL. People annoy me on a daily basis anyways but it has been a bit worse over the last few days. I tried to reach out to someone and they apparently didnt care as much as I thought they did. Funny how "I love you" gets thrown around so casually. I let it go and gave up on it so I felt alot better the next day.

It's like a trickle, but comes out at spurts! I know its not urine b/c it doesn't smell like it. I personally think that there may be small hole in the sack that when comes exposed some comes out! And when my doc tested me the 2nd time after doing the strip it was already cleared out! That is my guess! But I don't really know for sure! My baby still feels fine and is moving like crazy still, so I guess if it starts getting worse I will go to L&D! I don't have a doc apppt again til next Wed, so I hope everything is still normal and progressing!! Good luck to you and your little baby!!

Wow that is funny your doctor told you that you conceived in November because I'm due on the 26th and my doctor told me I should have conceived on December 3rd. Which sounded right to me because we had only did it once in like a month ...sorry TMI :)

wow! My family's last name is graham. I wanted to name our son (if we had one) Graham as a way to carry on the name without it being a last name...also to honor my grandfather who was a wonderful person! Good luck to you also! My husband won't let me name our daughter Lily. Boo.

They are supposed to measure the femur length,head circumference and abdominal circumference and get the measurement from there.On my growth scan charts it shows a bar which has a dot in the middle which is 50th percentile and they stick a marker on where your baby measures at.Then at the bottom is says HC+fL+ac= and then they put a dot on the bar where it measures at and type in the weight.Apparently recently the scans are much more accurate than they used to be but this is the first time i have had growth scans so i dont know what they used to be like.

we live in cincinnati ohio...that was 27 years ago though when sonograms were first being used and all that..i hope they are smarter when it comes to these things now but who knows...she had alot of problems though not all of them had to do with being WAY overdue but that was what ultimately killed her i think..they didnt know she was that far until the autopsy..that explained everything...it just sucks it had to go that far to figure out what was wrong

HI Just read your ppost about size of baby. My doctor said that usually the mother is the one to guestimate the size of the baby she is carrying. He said you could mesure big but a lot could be fluid. He also stated they recently did an ultrasound on a lady who measured out to be having over a 10 pound baby, the c-sectioned the baby and it only weighed approx. 7lbs. So, I guess there is no exact accurate predictor only logiucal guessing! (:

in my expierence with my last pregnancy and some other ladies I know, they're always guestimates and usually they tell you bigger than they are, but this time my tech even said give or take 11oz, so that's a big swing!! They said my little man was 4lbs 13 oz last week

The women that know how big their babies are have more than likely had growth scans.Otherwise the doc measures your tummy but that can be wrong depending if the mother has put on any body fat of her own during the pregnancy.
