Hi Everyone!
My name is Naomi and I'm a brand new member here, even though I've been lurking around the twins message boards for months. That's right, I'm having TWINS! The twins were conceived on birth control, so I guess God decided to override my decisions. At first it was tough, but I'm so, so excited now. I'm expecting a boy and a girl and I'm due July 3 and July 4. They have different due dates, which is cute.
My situation is a little different because I'm young (almost 22) and don't have a partner. My ex is having nothing to do with me and the babies, which is okay with me (knowing him). It's unfortunate, but I think we'll be just fine, as my family has been completely supportive. The trouble is that my situation makes it hard for other mommies to connect with me (the twins thing tends to do that, too). I'm really hoping to make new friends here, other moms or moms-to-be of twins or singletons, especially single mothers.

Week 32!
Other than the requisite 12 weeks over the toilet, I've had a great pregnancy. Very little discomfort, no exhaustion, very little swelling, not-enormous baby bump, and NOT A SINGLE STRETCH MARK, knock on wood. I oil my body religiously every evening after I shower, and I'm sure that that has helped a ton. Overall, I'm pretty comfortable. I'm still working 2 jobs and my doctor agrees that my body isn't giving any signs that I should stop. I am hoping to make it to 37 weeks.
I had an u/s on Monday, and got good news! Baby A (girl) is 4 pounds 2 ounces (1900 gms) and head first! Baby B (boy) is 4 pounds (1831 gms) is head first, too, so it looks like I get to have my wish of a vaginal delivery! I'm so excited and I can't wait to meet my babies.

I have gained 45 lbs too. They say we should! I can tell you exactly where mine is. The places we don't want it to be and my big hard belly. You are lucky! Pre-pregnancy pants? Not me, I had maternity pants at 2.5 months. At 32 weeks, my stomach measured 41 weeks. This is why I am so uncomfortable. And that was two weeks ago. I cannot wait until next week and they come out. It will feel like the clouds will part and the gods will sing! Tee Hee!

Thanks and congrats to you as well!!! I have morning sickness but it is in the late afternoon or evening, which isnt that bad since I have school in the mornings and my fiance is home by the time I start feeling crappy. Do you get growth pains, in the uterus area lower ab area? I get alot, sometimes it hurts so bad I cant walk on one side. The doc told me it was due to the body having to grow twice as fast.
You are so luck, you know you are having a b/g set of twins!!! I hope Im that lucky, but I dont find out for another 6 weeks or so.
Im a doctoral student in clinical psych w/ an emphasis in forensics and neuropsychology. How about you?

I will tell you, the last week and a half is almost a joy because I am getting excited now. Boy am I big though. I can't wait to lose this weight and get new clothes and wear heals again! LOL.

I am now at 34 weeks, and decided that this will be may last week of work. I am just too big to sit at a desk comfortably anymore. At 32 weeks, I was thinking that i was going to last until 36 or 37 weeks, but i am just too big and exhausted now.
We did picke out names, the girl will be Anna (we haven't decided on the middle name) and the boy will be Jeffery Stephen.

Other than the gestational diabetes everything seems to be good right now. Just sick of sticking my fingers everyday. Those are great names. My husband and I are sure about the first names but still debating on middle. The girl will be London and the boy Logan. All my OB has mentioned about delivery is that they will remove my cerclage at 37 weeks. Unless I go into labor then they will take it out then. No plans for a c-section yet. They say as long as baby a is head down we are going to try for vaginal. Kind of scares me a little. But as long as everyone is healthy and growing I can be happy.

Thank you for your warm wishes. I don't know the new size of the babies yet. I will find out next week and keep you posted. We are going to call our baby girl Willow and our baby boy Ashton. How much do yours weigh? Do you have names picked out yet? I can't wait until they arrive. I don't know about you, but I am so done!
