Hi, i'm Mary Anne I've been with Steven for 11yrs, engaged for 8yrs we've just never made it down the aisle. In June 2004 i miscarried about 7wks into pregnancy and i'm sure i don't have to tell you how devestating that was. Surprisingly and Thankfully i fell pregnant very quickly and on 10th June 2005 our beautiful daughter Aimee was born. I am now expecting again and I'm due March 08. I had a bleed at 11wks which really freaked us out, thankfully an emergancy scan showed a heartbeat and date scan a wk later showed baby jumping about and waving.

3/10/07

Saw my own midwife today for the 1st time and heard baby's heartbeat for the 1st time too. It took a while and she had to change machines but she found it.I was really starting to worry the longer it was taking to find it cause i've was so sure i've felt little flutters for the past week. It was a strong heartbeat of 157. Also midwife changed my dates so instead of 21/03/08 i'm now due 18/03/08 which is the date i thought from the start i don't know why midwife i saw when i booked in thought that date.

I had emergancy section with Aimee and had loads of problems afterwards. It was 3months before i was discharged from district nurse care. My scar opened and i had to go back into hospital when Aimee was only 10days old for a blood transfusion. Steven got thrown in at deep end cause he was left holding the baby. I had drips in each hand so there was no way of me dealing with Aimee too. I think I'm prob goin to go with the elective section this time, I'm so worried about labouring and ending up with one anyway that i think i could be more prepared for it if i know thats whats happening and recovery from elective seems so much better than from emergancy.

If anyone has any views on this i'd love to hear them.

5/11/07

Had 20wk scan and everything going great, Baby got larger than average legs and big feet. I'm not sure when i'm due now, sonographer dated me as 21/3/08. I see my own midwife on 14/11/07 so hopefully she'll clarify, it's only a few days of difference but i want to know for sure!! We took Aimee with us and Baby was waving to her, she was really excited by it all and can't wait to be a big sister. We didn't ask the sex of the baby as it's the last baby we plan to have so it's the last surprise we'll get. I'm convinced it's another girl but that's because that's what i know. As long as it's healthy i really don't care.

I'm getting worried about leaving Aimee for 4 or 5 days, She'll stay with Nana & Papa the night before and they'll bring her to hospital at visting on the 12th. Steven going to meet them outside and he'll bring her in though because i don't want her walking into room seeing the 3 of us and she's a visitor i really want her to feel part of it. My mum will go for a coffee for a half hr to give us time being the 4 of us.

I've tried to explain to Aimee that i have to go to hospital to have the baby and she'll stay with daddy, but she says NO she's coming with me.

I've bought a book called Mummy's having a baby so now that all the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over we're going to make that her new bedtime book, hopefully if we read it often enough she'll have a bit more understanding. I'm sure it'll break my heart more than hers being apart.

When i had Aimee, Steven was at the hospital all day every day and he could be again but kids only allowed at visiting and i really don't want Aimee feeling like she been bombed out and getting sent away to Nana's or Gran's to allow him to come out. Maybe i'll get a good rest ready for the chaos that will descend when get home. I'm so excited now that we know when it's coming and i'm glad we didn't find out the sex of the baby it'll be a wonderful surprise seen as we know when it's coming.

Names - Emily Anne or Aaron Jacob

Haven't made any definate decision on middle names but def goin with Emily or Aaron.

3 weeks to go!

I can't believe 3weeks today and i'll be a mum of 2, we'll be a family of 4. Aimee's getting really excited now and wants the baby out now. I've been so sore recently and i'm all strapped up with support belts, turning round in bed is such an effort and i'm so glad now i am going in a wk early for a section. I've put on 4stone (56lbs), Aaaarrggh!!! I put on 5&half st last time and i was a stone heavier when i fell pregnant this time so i'm only 7lbs away from weight i was before Aimee born. I need to get a fitness plan sorted because if Steven and I are going to make it official this year and get married i want to do it looking and feeling like me!

25th March

Emily Anne arrived on 12th March 2008 at 9.32am she weighed 6lb 12oz and was 49cm long she is an absolute gem and Aimee adores her. We get no kisses anymore because she has to keep them all for Emily.

I feel a little bit sad now this pregnancy is over because i'll never do it again. It's a funny feeling, you will the pregnancy to end so you can meet your little one then are sad it's over. I'm delighted to have two beautiful girls and so is my partner - everyone is asking if we'll try for a boy but we're happy with what we've got. Two healthy adorable girls and the decision had always been made to stop at 2.

I'm sorry breastfeeding didn't work. I really hope it works for me cause it's the fun part of bonding with a baby. Aimee sounds like a great big sis, I'm glad she's handling things so well cause I've seen some really difficult situations on sibling rivalry. I really can't wait for the day when I can confidently say..I'm pregnant! lol But that looks like it's a couple of months away.

Hey! I'll try to post some pics of Alexis with Brody soon. She is such a good sister. She has her own "baby" now and carries around her little baby doll pretending to feed him and burp him, its super cute. I know what you mean about the diet and not being motivated :( The thing that has me going though is the fact that Mike wants to take me and the kids to Florida in 3 months and I will have to put on a bathing suit! :( Yuck! Wish me luck! Will probably have a real mommy looking bathing suit, cute, huh? :)

So getting heaps of pain but no real action. Trying to chill out about it all but feeling anxious anyway. So will touch base and let you know how things are then. Hey! Went shopping to pick up a few things yesterday and had my mom watch the kids, got asked when my baby was due and started crying in the store, so you are not alone! It really upset me. I wish I was one of those supermodels that bounced back and look great the next day, but still have my pudgy tummy down there. I've lost 15lbs but have about 20-25 to go. Low carb diet has already started although I am seriously missing my brownies and milk :) Brody is doing great. I am still extremely sore and sleep deprived but I am loving every minute of this newborn phase and know all to well how quickly it will pass :(

Thanks Mary Anne! Is it just me or having 2 is a little overwhelming. I am having a hard time balancing my time between the 2 of them. I feel like I am constantly doing laundry too :) Its all good though and I am loving it. Alexis is so sweet with her baby brother, its heart warming. How are things with you?

Hey! Sorry I've been trying to post all day but internet issues in the hospital! I had Brody on Tuesday morning at 5:32am. Mary Anne, he weighed 9lbs 6oz!!!!! I feel like someone has taken a sledge hammer to my crotch! So painful! Labored for 7 hours and pushed for 7 minutes. Epidural stopped working at around 8cm, go figure :) I'll put my birth story up on my page as soon as I can. He is breastfeeding ok, but not great. Cute as a button though and I am loving every minute of it! :)

Ok have had more sex , Hot baths, Rasberry tea and still nothing so this little lumpy enjoys being where it is. Sometimes I don't blame it it is a mad house around here sometimes. With the loud music the constant wrestle mathches with the smaller kids and the constant going on. Had another Docs appointment today she did another Iron test and a Urine test that came up with all sorts of crazy levels. She thinks I will most likely need atleast another 20 Iron Injections before I improve totally What a pain in the Arse literally. As of course they go in tyhe Butt. Doc says I need to have this baby soon as my body is just over it but do you think she will do anything about it says Baby still has room to grow I mean what the? So am getting Cranky but I suppose I still have 9 days to go. Sorry but find the need to vent to someone as I am about to bite the next persons head off who says haven'tr you had that baby yet I mean its obvious its still inside ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH. Hubby has been nice about it all even got a backrub last night and it made me relax but still got a lousy night sleep. Sorry to Bitch so bad I think I am hormonal or something. Hope you are ok and that Bubs is doing well. Take care and I am sorry for being so grumpy.

Bless your heart--just ignore those comments. You just had a baby and you had a c-section, so I am sure you are still swollen. You bounced back last time and you will this time too. Just remember it took you 9 months to put the weight on, so its not a suprise you haven't lost all the weight in only 4 weeks! Give yourself a break and just remember you will be back to your cute self soon enough. I feel HUGE myself. My skinny minny friend was over here today and was going on about how she only gained 20lbs when she was preggo with both of her kids. She was looking at bikinis in my Victoria Secret magazine and I just felt like crap. I looked at my butt in the mirror and its at least doubled in width! :( Depressing, but like you, I bounced back last time and will do so again this time. Just will take some self control, which I have little of right now :) What worked for me last time and I plan on doing again this time was cutting out carbs in my diet. Just eating meat and veggies instead of potatoes, rice or pasta and switching to sugar free sweets or berries for a desert. Doesn't sound yummy I know, but I lost 20 lbs in about a month. As much as I'll miss my cookies, I know summer is right around the corner and hubby wants to take me and the kids to the beach, so I gotta get crackin quick on taking this weight off, or at least some of it. I cringe at the thought of myself in a bathing suit right now! Yikes! We can motivate one another once this kid decides to make his appearance. I am wishing I had a date like you did, I am just stuck here in limbo hoping something will happen and each day and week that goes by, I gain more weight!! Ugh! Glad the gripe water is working well! Soon we can talk about sleepless nights and baby stuff togehter :) Hugs ((())) K

Still here! Just started to lose my mucous plug though, so maybe birth is right around the corner! I hope so! Thanks for your kind words. I don't feel like I look good, but what can ya do, right? I'll just have to start dieting when he pops out. I'll miss my chocolate cake and cookies, that's for sure! Great that Emily is growing so well. Sorry to hear she is colicky. What worked really well for Alexis was those Avent bottles and it says they are made in England, so you should be able to get them over there. If you aren't using those, you could switch to see if they take the gas away. I've also heard great things about gripe water. I'll keep ya posted on my progress!

Hi finally able to log onto the new sight had trouble for over a week. So relieved to be able to talk to you guys again. Glad to know you are going well with little Bubs. I haven't had any more action since the other night so back to waiting. Must admit have started drinking Rasberry tea and trying a bit of hanky panky both just leave me sore. So Bubs musn't be quite ready yet. Even though is ready by Doctors comments we just have to wait and see. Thanks for the well wishes am feeling better now thank god. Have a little more energy so the Iron Injections must be kicking in at last. Have even got my cleaning bug back. Not that I am not still tired just not as bad as I have been. So am starting to get excited and nervous at the same time and the baby is taking up my whole thought processes at the moment am having trouble thinking about anything else.I hope you are feeling well how has your'e recovery period been are you still sore? Hey! I am going to see if they will strip my membranes on Monday, we shall see. Yeah, they keep saying he will be big, but who knows, they can be so off on everything. They told me the same thing about Alexis and she was only 7lbs 7oz. I do hope I go early though!!! I am trying everything, but so far no luck :( Mike will be off for a week, but the rest of the time I am on my own. It will be nice when I have this baby because then we can talk about all the baby stuff and sleepless nights :) Although I can talk to you now about sleepless nights considering I wake up every 30 mins to pee! Yes we are all getting excited, especially Alexis. She will be staying at my mother in law's and then my mom is staying with me the first week and will help take care of me and the two kids. I still can't believe I will have 2 kids soon! Crazy Crazy. If I have a regular birth, I will only be in the hospital for 48 hours, if I end up having a C-section, I think 4 days. They are telling me he is already 7lbs, I am scared Mary Anne. I am not sure if I can push out a baby that big!

I know. If anyone needs a night out drinking, its us! :) Sounds like Emily is a good baby though, so I bet you will have an easy night. How much is she waking up through the night. I think Alexis woke up every 3 hours, but right now that sounds wonderful considering I wake up every 30 minutes to pee! Now I am having sharp shooting pains in my groin area when I walk. Did you ever have those? I am drinking my raspberry tea trying to hurry this process along as I am very uncomfortable and tired and even when I do lie down, I can't get comfortable. My tummy just aches all over. Alright enough griping out of me. I am off to eat a popsicle. Oink Oink, here I go again! :)

So happy for you she is Beautifull. Congratulations. Have been a little of colour myself have seen the Doc now so hopefully will improve with the medication prescribed. I must say you must be relieved to have the baby in your'e arms knowing she is well and healthy so very happy for you. I can't wait for my turn now. I understand its hard not to imagine being pregnant but never say never cause I thought never againg after my second now am having no 5 so you never know. How are you are you recovering ok? any sleep? I really am happy for you and will talk to you soon.
