22 Weeks:
I just had a checkup and everything looks good! =) i cannot wait to meet my little boy! I just uploaded some more ultrasound pictures from the 18 wk ultrasound.

24 Weeks:
I've been so fatigued and out of energy lately. This whole pregnancy I've been asleep each night by 8:30 pm! LOL! and wake up for work at 6am. So I'm getting plenty of rest. Maybe too much, but the tiredness won't go away. Other then that i feel great =) ...belly is definetly getting bigger and stretched to what feels like the "limit" right now although I know that it is not! Also my hunger boosted up a few notches these past few weeks, Ut-Oh! I've gained about 15lbs so far.. but i started off very petite, so I think I'm doing good. All in all, everything is going great! I just cannot wait to meet my baby boy!!

27 Weeks:
I went for my GD test yesterday morning 12/18... Everyone said the drink would be some orange nasty drink.. mine was fruit punch and not carbonated =) it was actually good lol! Guess i got lucky. I hope the test comes out good. Just have to play the waiting game now... Today i felt really tired all day, actually all week so far. Jayden hasn't been moving around too much, kinda makes me nervous, but i do feel him here and there so i know he is ok. I just wish he would kick me more, i love feeling him kick =) All in all, everything is going well. Belly is getting big, gained 17lbs so far, but i dont know where it went! I guess to my boobs and butt =0X. Better there then anywhere else. And I dont wanna jinx it, but no stretch marks so far!!! =D my mom had 5 kids and no stretch marks, so i got good genes, thanks mom! Haha. I get my next ultrasound at 32 weeks to check the babies position... I can't wait!

29 Weeks:
I feel great this week! Me and the hubby just got back from a trip to see his family in Michigan. I drove the entire way since he cant drive, and it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.. I've driven all the way there before, but not pregnant! LOL! I haven't seen my Obgyn since Nov.30. I moved and had to switch Drs, and have an app scheduled for this Friday 1/11 at the hospital near my new place. I can't wait to make sure he is doing well in there... i feel him moving alot throughout the day, so thats good =) I just want to hear his little heart beat!!!! <3 God I love my baby boy! Only 10 weeks left! I cant believe it! Getting nervous now, he's going to be so fragile!

31 Weeks:
Wow, only 9 weeks left! I can't believe how fast it is going now! Jayden was moving around so much today while i was at work, it was so cute! He had hiccups and he kept squirming around like he was pissed off about it haha!! My baby shower is in 2 weeks, Jan 26th, and my Bday is in 2 weeks also, Jan 23rd. I can't wait for both! I have a dr app tomorrow morning, and get another ultrasound on Jan 22nd. I can't to see him and find out how much he weighs so far! <3 *update 1/15* at my 31 week checkup, i was measuring at only 29 wks but the dr said its perfectly fine. Everything looked great and the baby is head down =). I also went for more bloodwork today, 1/15. Ultrasound on Tues 1/22! Cant wait!!!

9 m0re weeks

33 Weeks:
I just had my baby shower this weekend and got sooo much stuff! I dont know how i even managed to fit everything in my apartment LOL! Me and the hubby also put together the crib and set it all up =) it is soooo adorable and makes it feel more real! I can't believe it, having all of this little baby stuff around, i <3 it! This week i've been feeling extremly exhausted... only 4 more weeks of work.. jeez, i wish it would come quicker!!!

35 Weeks:
I just got back from my 35 week check-up (2/13/08) and also a fetal echo gram... everything looks perfect! I got my strep B test today and have to go get blood taken for an anemia test again, but baby is weighing in (approx) at 5lbs 7 oz's! Right on point! =) Only 5 weeks left, i cannot believe it!!! I have been feeling a little more energetic lately, but i get tired quickly still... only 1 week left of work til my maternity leave thank god! . . . ahhh, my little man is almost here. Thats all i can think about <3

37 Weeks:
Okay...2/27/08 so i had a Dr. app today, and it was soooo stupid. My app was for 9:30, so i got there at 9:45. and the lady asked my name, i told her it, and she said ok, take a seat... So they usually take forever since i go to the hospital and not a private DR... but i sat there in the waiting room for 2 hrs... finally, i saw them calling people who came WAY AFTER me, so i went to the receptionist and said ummm, hello, i've been sitting here waiting for 2 hrs, and she said whats your name, and i gave her my info and she said OMG i am sooo sorry,.,. so yea. they forgot about me.. i winded up not getting out of the Dr. app until 12:00... AND they didnt even check for dialation OR effacement.. all they did was measure my uterus... NOT even tell me what i was measuring and when i asked she said "good" .. umm, ok, soo last week i was a week behind, so i am going to assume i am on track now? OR not... because she looked at my paperwork and said last week you were measuring right on track. NO IDIOT! I WASNT they clearly said i was measuring a week behind when i got a checkup 2 weeks ago.. so i dont know if i am measuring at 37 weeks or 36 weeks.. UGGGG... whatever. I hate when i get stupid Drs who check you for literally 3 minutes and dont tell you anything at all.. what a biotch she was... oh well. hopefullle my app next wed goes better. I cant wait for my little boy =)

38 Weeks:
Feeling EXTRA tired and lazy this week so far! I guess because it is my 2nd week on maternity leave, so getting in lazy mode! LOL. . . better enjoy it while it lasts. Have a Dr. App tomorrow 3/5 at 11:15am, hopefully they will check me for dialation and i HOPE i am at least a little dialated and effaced. UPDATE: Went to my app this morning 3/5 and i am measuring right on point now. (was measuring small previously). Still no internal check.. they said possibly next week. So we'll see! Next app is 39 weeks, next thurs March 13th.

39 Weeks:
Ok, so once again.. had a Dr app today 3/13 and NO internal check... so i have NO CLUE how i am progressing... i have 4 days left until my due date, and feel like i will be waiting long after that for my baby boy. They said that they will be scheduling an induction date if i do not have him by Monday, my due date.. but did not even tell me when! They said they will tell me at my app next week.. which is 3/20... 3 days AFTER my due date... ARGH!!! I am so tired of being preggo already!

40 Weeks:
Ok, so todays the due date 3/17/2008.. Still no signs of labor. Next Dr app isn't until this Thurs 3/20 and i will find out when i will be induced if he doesn't come before then. I just wish he would come today and surprise his mommy! I can't wait for the pain LOL!

Due Date

40 Weeks and 4 Days:
Just got home from the dr. I am 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. They FINALLY checked! LOL. I am scheduled to be induced Monday 3/24 at 6pm if i don't go into labor before then on my own. The dr said i would bleed a little after the check, and he said maybe it'll stir things up a bit. I hope so! LOL... He also said the babies head is very low and in position =) Yey! The end is in sight!!!! <3

Birth Story

Ok, so i was 41 weeks pregnant,50% effaced and 2cm dialated at my appointment on Thurs 3/20, so the Dr. scheduled me to be induced on Mon 3/24 at 6 pm. I went to the hospital at 5:30 p.m to register and get things going. I was in the L&D room by 6:30 and they gave me some stuff the ripen my cervix. I'm not sure what it was called, but it wasn't cervadil. It was a 4hr ripener, not 12. So they inserted the cervix ripener on in my cervix at 7pm and the Dr said he would be back to check in 4 hrs to see how i have progressed. He came back in the room at 11pm, and i was 4 cm dialated and 70% effaced!!! The nurse asked if i felt anything, and i said no, only mild achyness and cramping, but nothing too bad. She said she was shocked because i was contracting every 4 mins and they were pretty strong. So she started the pitocin, and heres where it got interesting... she came into the room about 1 hr later, and shut the pitocin off. She said my contractions were coming on too fast and were 1 min apart. At this point i was VERY uncomfortable, and I was feeling every contraction. I couldn't even talk and wanted to cry. Of course I asked for the epidural immediately when the nurse came into the room and she called for the anesthesiologist who came to the room 20 mins later. Once i got the epi I was in heaven. It is AMAZING. The needle was a little scary of course, but i didn't care since i was in sooooo much pain. It was quick and the results were worth it. After I got the epi, my boyfriend, my mom, my g-ma, and my cousin came back into the room and were amazed at how calm I now was LOL. So at this point, it is about 2am and the Dr came in to check my progress. I was 6cm and about 90% effaced! 1 hr later, the Dr came in again to check me and I was 10 cm and she said i could start pushing! I was SHOCKED!!! Totally stunned because I was sure I was only about 8cm or so. So the nurse said that she would check how I push with the epi first, and would have to let it wear off if I wouldn't push right. So I pushed and she asked if I felt pressure, and I said yes ( I totally LIED because I didn't want them letting the epi wear off LOL and I had just pushed the epi button to give myself more right before they came in saying I was 10. )
So anyway, I did my best and asked the nurse to tell me when I was contracting. I pushed for about 20 mins, and his head was coming down good. Once he started crowing a little, he wouldn't come out any further. His heartbeat started to drop, and they had to use the vacuum along with a final push from me, and he came sliding out and started to cry. Needless to say they didn't do an episiotomy, (I am not sure why) but I tore REALLY BAD. It took them 45 mins to stitch me up. Jayden got a 9 on the 1 and 5 min apgar and is healthy as can be =). Daddy was the first to hold him, and I was able to hold him after my stiched 45 mins later. I am blessed to have such a wonderful son. The total labor was about 8 1/2 hours long (from start of cervix ripener) and i only felt pain for about 30 mins to an hour, so it went really well!!! <3

3 Weeks & 2 Days Old (4/17/08):

He is such a goOd baby! I am seriOusly so blessed to have him. I am exhausted of cOurse, but it could be a lot worse! He only cries when something is wrong, as babies should (Diaper Change, Needs a Bottle, Cold, Hot, or wants to be held) and isn't just a whiner. He does wake up every 2 1/2 hours usually though and I cannot wait til' he gOes atleast 4 hrs at a time sleeping... he dOes a 4 hr nap only like once a day and it's scattered each day... so no routine yet, but I know that takes a while for them to settle into a routine. He dOes get gassy sOmetimes despite being on Soy formula, but it's nothing that a little Mylicon doesn't cure. All in all, I LOVE being a mommy. I alsO am very lucky that my mother comes to help me during the day while my bf is wOrking, so I get a chance to relax during the day, and even run some errands. I finally started tanning again, and am starting to get my shape back little by little. =) Ahh, nOw time to take a nap... If I can LOL!

4 Weeks Old (4/22/08):

I cannOT believe that Jayden is 4 weeks old already! It is weird, because he won't technically be 1 mOnth until 4/25 since he was born on 3/25, but he is 4 weeks today... Anyways, He's been starting to smile a little more each day, but no socially yet. He now tries to hit the little toys On his baby genious play mat =) he just dOesn't know which hand will hit which side yet though LOL! Its soOo cute. His 1 mOnth check up is next Thurs, and I am thinking he will be getting a vaccine shot... which is sad =( I am gOnna hate that.. but I cannot wait to see how much my little chubber weighs now! I will be taking him for his first stroll outside that day as well, to the Dr's office since it is right around the corner, if the weather is nice. I cannOt wait to see how he likes the outdoors and get him out of this cramped up apartment! Just waiting for the "changing of the seasons pollen" to die down.

6 Weeks & 6 Days Old (5/12/08):

Wow, he is getting SO big so fast. At his 1 month dr app, he weighed 10lbs 3oz! She didn't check his length, but I am sure he is at least 22 inches by now. He has his 2 month (its early by a week) check up this Friday 5/16 and I cannot wait to see how much he weighs now. Probably about 12lbs... we'll see! He can not hold his head up when I'm holding him or when we sit him up straight, but he still hates "tummy time" and struggles lifting his head up while laying flat BUT he can easily move it side to side. He is SUCH a good baby. He went through a little growth spurt at around 4 weeks old and was very cranky for about a week, but he is now back to normal thank goodness! He smiles ALL the time and is starting to giggle slightly...It is the cutest thing!!! I go back to work next Monday 5/19 already =( I don't want to leave him, but my mom will be babysitting so, it'll be OK. I love my little man sooo much!
*UPDATE: He had to get 4 shOts =( but he was 10lbs 11oz and 21 3/4 in long!*

8 Weeks & 6 Days Old (5/24/08):

Omg, I cannOt believe he will be 2 mOnths old already tomorrow! It is flying by! I went back to work on Monday 5/19 =( and I missed him every day all day while at work. I hate it. I guess you gotta do what you've got to do right? Oh well. Anyway, he has been cooing and smiling so much! He LOVES his baby genious play gym more then ever. It is just too cute. Every time we put him in it, it is like he has never seen it before, that's how excited he gets! I Love it. He loves his bath time now, and I couldn't be happier about that. Makes my life easier lol. I have started him on Poly-Vi-Sol multivitamins as per his pediatrician, and he HATES the taste of them. It is a struggle to give him them every day.. but I guess its just something infants need right? He is too cute though, he spits it out and makes the cutest "this is so yucky" faces lol! His favorite position to be held is straight up against my shoulder. He wants to see the world! I wish he would sleep longer at night... that is the only downside. I am exhausted, especially being back to work. He wakes up every 2 1/2 hours like clockwork... I know it will get better eventually though, so I just take each day/night as it is and deal. I love him <3!

9 Weeks & 5 Days Old (5/31/08):

I am truly blessed to have such an amazing baby. He smiles and Coos all the time now... The only time he cries is when he's hungry or bothered by something. His favorite thing to do it try to sit up on his own and when you hold him and let him "stand up". He goes to Grandmas every morning on weekdays since she babysits him, and ever morning, he knows the routine. He smiles the whole time until he leaves =). His sleeping habits are MUCH better now. He usually goes to bed around 7:30 or 8pm and will sleep until about 1:30 or 2am then have a bottle and fall right back asleep until about 5:30am and then I usually will lay him with me until 6am when I have to get up for work. He has started sleeping this way since he started his multi-vitamins AND I let him sleep in his car seat, but I prop it up in the crib so he gets used to the crib's surroundings. He is on his way to laughing. He tries so hard, and I am waiting for the day that the loud giggle just comes out of no where! He has a dr app today to get his Polio Vaccine. I wonder how much he weighs now, we'll see! *UPDATE: 12lbs 4oz*

3 Months Old (13 weeks)(6/29/08):

I think Jayden might be starting the first stages of teething. He is constantly chewing on his hands and drooling. He also tries to put blankets, toys, and my hands in his mouth as well. He has been seeming a bit more aggitated lately too. His vitamins which i HATE to give him are also making him constipated. He wakes up screaming in pain at night trying to pass his stool and i have to make him go with the infant suppositories. I wish babies didn't need these god awful tasting vitamins. . . Instead of the 1 ml it says to give, i am going to try .5 ml and see if his stool gets better, just until his Dr app on July 15th and i can ask his dr about it. Other then all of that, he is doing great! Progressing wonderfully. He has been trying to sit up on his own now for about 3 wks. It's his favorite position. I think he feels like a big boy =) He also laughs a little and it is too cute! Ryan and I read books to him, and he always falls asleep in the middle. It's so cute! He is just getting so smart, cooing and smiling, and making all types of sounds ...I love him! UPDATE: at his Dr app, he was 14lbs and 24 1/4 inches long <3

4 Months & 4 weeks Old(8/22/08):

Well, since I haven't updated in a while, and Jayden is getting bigger so fast, I decided to make it "Candid shOt of the month" instead of the previous "Weekly Updates". I have been so busy with work and Jayden it is unreal! I have no time for leisurly blogging barely anymOre! So enough about that and on to my baby boy! He is SO AMAZING. I love him more then words can describe... He smiles everytime i look at him and gives me this amazing glare that I know is saying "I love you mommy" with his eyes. <3. He is an amazing baby and I am blessed, thats all I can say. He still wakes up for a bottle at night, but I've adjusted and it's fine with me. Of course it takes a toll on me, and I'm exhausted all the time, but I wouldn't trade the look on his face when that formula hits his hungry little mouth for anything in the world. I started him on Single Grain Rice cereal and Barley cereal and have been giving it to him about twice a day for the past week. He is taking to it pretty well, but doesn't seem to be too interested yet. I give him as much as he will take, and then the bottle it is. On another note, Ryan and I bought him a "Jumperoo" and he LOVES it to say the least. His eyes light up like fireworks once he's in it, and he jumps harder and higher then I even though possible from his little legs. I was reading the "5 Month Milestones" on Babycenter, and I has reached all of those already during these past 4 months. He will be 5 months on Monday 8/25 and I am in awe. He is just perfect. Everything and anything I could ever hope for. I love hearing his little voice when he babbles and mimicks me and I can't wait for his first words to come out. He sure is trying! <3 Ok, it will probably be another month before I update, so I'll Tty all soOn! I hope everyone and their little ones are dOing well and nothing but the best wishes to all! Time to start looking for Halloween costumes already! WoW! BTW, today is his Daddy's bday, he is an amazing father and I couldn't ask for more. My life is perfect.<3

5 Months & 4 weeks Old(9/21/08):

So this morning when he was biting my knuckle, i felt 2 bottom teeth! They finally popped through after all of this teething (since 3 months)! He has been a little feverish lately and a little cranky at times, but nothing too bad. He is such a good boy, i know his teeth had to have hurt him more then he showed. So last week on 9/16 was his "6 Month Check-up" even though he isn't 6 months until Thurs 9/25... Anyways, here are his stats as of now: Weight = 16lbs 4oz - 25th Percentile. Height = 26 1/4" - 50th Percentile. And Head Circumfrance = 17 3/4" - 90th Percentile. All in all the Dr said he is doing great! So far we have started on solids and he's had Peas, Sweet Potatoes and String Beans. He hates Peas, is so/so on Sweet Potatoes, but he loves his String Beans! I bought him a Sippy cup yesterday and he holds it all by himself! He is getting so big so fast I cant believe it!!! Pretty soon he'll be crawling, he is trying his hardest and I know he'll master it soon!

Yes, it is totally the best feeling!! your little guy is a cutie! I read your birth story and I agree with you, I loved my epidural with both my kids. (I was induced for both of my kids)

Congrats on having your little one. I just read your comment in the 35 week section. I will be 36 weeks Sunday and needed someone to say that they missed their little one inside kicking and stuff because I'm at the impatient point where I just want him out and I know that I should really just be enjoying my last few weeks without having to share him with everyone, so thanks for making me think about that a little.

i dont know if its safe but ive been doing indoor tanning since i was two weeks post. my baby is only breastfeed so i just make sure to shower befor i feed him.
