October 15th~

It seems like forever since I have been able to really catch up on here! Having 2 under the age of two has been very demanding on my time. My 14 month old is at the babysitters right now, so I thought I would try and catch up! Colin had a hard time at first adjusting to having a baby in the house, but now he has become a great big brother. he is no longer trying to poke her eyes out, but is now patting her head and holding her hand. It is really cute.

Meighan is a real doll. She had a bitof colic, but has settled down quite a bit. She's a good eater and took to the breast right away. She is sleeping well, too! We are so lucky!

June 7th~

Baby is getting so active! I am almost at the point where I am done being pregnant. I have been pregnant for almost 2 years straight and am ready to have a life pants with buttons and being able to see what my shoes look like! My blood suhars have been doing well and have been well below what the doctor is looking for. I am sticking to the GD diet....mostly, but do allow mysellf to have a few treats here and there. I am so looking forward to meeting my little princess!

May 3rd~

My doctor appointment was yesterday. Gained 7 pounds! He said that it was ok, but to watch what I am eating. Baby's heartbeat was great, and I measured at 22 weeks. I asked my doctor about the ultrasound and he assured me tht his tech would not tell me the baby's sex if she wasn't sure. He also said that he looked at the results as well and said she was a she. Yippy!

We have it narrowed down to two names, Meaghan and Gwendolyn. Half the family is for one and the other half is for the other. Middle name will be Harlow, my husbands mother's maiden name.

My mother has just stold us that she will be purchasing the baby's nursery furniture, so that was a nice surprise. Well, nt really,a s she did that for my last as well. Now we just have to pick out the set for the crib... there are SO MANY more choices for girls then boys! We had it easy with the last one...we chose a sports theme and have tons of Red Sox and Patriot things in his room, but with girls there are so many things to chose from!

May 1st~

So, I have my doctors appointment tomorrow. I am so excited to hear her heartbeat. I really would like to find out when my next ultrasound is, as I am worried about if she is really a she! After reading all the stories for you ladies, I am a bit worried that she might be a he! Though it was quite obvious that she was a girl..I do not want to buy pink and need to take it all back!

April 2nd~

So, we went to the doctor's for the ultrasound and we got ana amazing surprise...18 weeks! Not having a period made it difficult for us to calculate, sthey started with the internal ultrasound, but quickly changed over to the external whent hey saw how big the baby was!

The baby looked really good and active and...we found out that it is not an it...but a girl! We are so excited! that is what my husband and older son really wanted, i just thought I'd have another boy...so all this blue I have will be pink!

March 25th~

Going to the doctor tomorrow to hopefully find out the due date. We are so excited. We were freaked out at first, but now are so happy. My husband really wants a girl, and I have no preference. I had wanted a girl with the last one, but after about a second, it didn't really matter. I am so excited that I may see my little 'shim" as we call the baby...it is just not a good term!

March 13th~

Starting to feel a bit on the queezy side. My husband caught me in the shower having a bit of morning sickness and just shook his head...so it begins! We have told our family about the news and they seemed to respond better than we imagined. We haven't told the 9 year old yet as we want to wait until we have a due date to give him. He keeps asking if I am ok as he can see that I am not feeling too well. He's very smart...I think he really knows! My pants are getting tighter and I think I will be wearing the maternity clothes shortly...ugh!

March 11th~

I just found out yesterday that I was pregnant again. I stopped nursing about a month ago, and still did not have my period. My check up was on Monday and they gave me a test...SURPRISE...baby on board! We have to wait until March 26th to find out the due date because we do not have a period to go by.

Congrats on your numbers! A+ to you! Did you change your ice cream.

I'm almost done with my nursery. I posted pictures on the nursery page and on my home page today. I still have some paintings to make for the baby and Russell has to build the nursery.

I feel so confused because we have the MacLaren for my daughter and she HATES it. She's a big girl (30 lbs) but she loves her Peg Perego so I'm so hesitant to order a stroller and then she won't like it. Does it recline back all the way?

shirley and maya - Monday, 14 July
hey! I wanted to ask you abuot the kolcraft double stroller - youre the only one I know who has seen it in person - were the seats made big, can they both fully recline? I found a way to order it from ToysRus but I asked the manager if I could return it if I didnt like it and he said not really because they would have to do a special order on it since its not something they carry. I'm hesitating because I am VERY picky with comfort and if we dont get this stroller then we're probably going to get the PeG EREGO Duette which is 1000$!

Those are great blood sugar numbers! A+ to you!!!

I'm doing very well. My college roommate and 2 toddlers visited me for a week. It was a great time, but boy oh boy, I'm tired today! I don't know how she does it.

I've begun the crazy nesting phase of pregnancy. I'm going nutty in the nursery and doing weirdo things like scrubbing baseboards, re-folding the linens in the closet, and contemplating cleaning my neighbors' windows. These things are soooooo not me. It's so funny what pregnancy does to you!

How was your weekend?

Ah, I see what you mean about the pressure. Mine's still up high. I think it's her little bottom, but the doctor has yet to tell me Rose's position.

Let me know how things go at the doctor's office.

adriennella - Monday, 7 July
Where's the pressure?

adriennella - Monday, 7 July
How are you doing? How's your blood sugar?

adriennella - Tuesday, 1 July
Wow, thanks for all of the information about your appointments and bloodwork. I really hope that I don't have to do blood draws that often, though. I get terrible hematomas whenever I go in for that. I know that I have to screen myself 4 times a day and report those results to a nurse, but I'll find out everything else this morning. Have a great day.

adriennella - Monday, 30 June
Did you see your doctor right away after the diagnosis? I won't see mine for over two weeks, and I don't know what to expect. By the way, do we see the doctor more and get more ultrasounds or blood tests? I'm lost. :-)

adriennella - Monday, 30 June
Awww...sorry you can't have your fruit. I know how you feel. I was DYING to have my husband's mocha yesterday. I've only been on this no sugar, yucky grain diet for a week, and I miss chocolate terribly. By the way, have you noticed any weight loss with the GD diet?

shirley and maya - Saturday, 28 June
Thanks, I'm glad its over for me too. It was so painful and apperently this was supposed to be an easy surgery. Most non-pregnant people get dischraged the same day but I kept having attacks even after it was removed! Anyways, I'm glad its behind me and I'm on the road to recovery. My daughter on the other hand is really confused by everything. She wouldnt even look at me at the hospital and now that I'm home, she wont let me leave her site for a second without crying:-(

ang - Friday, 27 June
awe! Thanks! I'm thinking of not going back for the "better" shots... I don't really think that it's needed... it was a pretty cool experience though...

adriennella - Wednesday, 25 June
Yeah, I think packing bags this early is just one of the ways that people make things feel under control. I've organized and reorganized my baby clothes for that! :-)

adriennella - Wednesday, 25 June
Just like you, I have nothing built, nothing prepared, and no bag packed. When the baby comes, they just want our love, a place to sleep and clean diapers. :-)

shirley and maya - Thursday, 19 June
ya its harder for us. My appointments are always mid-afternoon and the dr. office is right in between our home and my hubbys work so its stupid to go pick him up, and then drive all the way there to drop him off and then come back home. He takes the subway occaionally but he ends up missing 2 hours of work for a 5 minute appintment so it doesnt work out. Then I get upset that he has to go back to work LOL! I always like going shopping after my appintments!

shirley and maya - Thursday, 19 June
Lucky you. My husband doesnt come to the appointments with me anymore - they are 2 seconds long anyways - we check the heart, measure tummy, he asks if I have any questions and I;m out. It would just be easier if I had someone to watch her!
