lillie had her first appt today. she is perfectly healthy! my son has a tonsil infection. yuck. i am breastfeeding and pumping. she is so tiny that breastfeeding all the time would wear her out. it burns a lot of calories and i need her to plump up! she falls asleep on the breast. my nipples are just starting to get a little sore. not too bad. you are going to have your hands full with your husband gone. i guess your kids are old enough to help out. that's good. my son could help if he wasn't sick! do you all go to Lebanon often? i would love to travel with my kids. my husband spent a few years in saudi when he was a child. those were the best years of his life. one day when we have more income we will show the world to our children! my twelve year old wants to go to europe. we have gone without him a few times when he was younger, now he is old enough to appreciate it. maybe some day.

how are you feeling today? when is housam's first check up. i take lillie tomorrow. everyone has had the flu and strep in my family and in chris family. still can't have visitors. i want everyone to meet her, but have to be careful. happy valentines day! were you due on valentines day? i know you were due around the same time as me.

thanks. last night was our first night home. since she eats every three hours we took shifts. we shared the 8:30 pm, then I took the 11:30 pm and 2:30 am. my hubby took the 5:30 and 8:30 am. since i am pumping for her meals at night, i got to sleep most of the night. it felt great! i slept better having her home than when she was at the hospital. she is 'kangarooing' with dad now. they have been sitting in this chair doing the skin contact for over an hour. she loves it. how is it having housam home? how are your other kids? i bet your youngest girl thinks it is pretty cool having a little brother. how are you recovering? are you still in a lot of pain? i hope you recover quickly so you can enjoy every moment with your precious boy. babies are wonderful! i am so glad we both ended up with two healthy children. now we get to have fun with them! i just raided her dresser trying to decide what she should wear today. pretty easy choice since most things are still to big. can't wait till she can fit in to her newborn clothes.

well thank God you are better, i had that plugged many many times with redness and soreness and even swelling but NEVER with fever... i usually have fever only for one day , the day my milk is coming in. glad it's all over now. Mark is doing great except that he has a constipation problem and now that he is starting solids, it is getting worse, yesterday he pushed so hard, i had to put a glycerin suppository for him. i give him plenty of water during the day but it doesn't help!

maybe you need antibiotics! i had that soreness and redness and fever with my 3d child. i heard that what your mom told you but i don't know if it can happen, i think maybe you got sore a bit and this caused a crack and bacteria went in. i would not wait and call your doc, he might prescribe antibiotics.

oh yess the cracked nipples n sore breasts! ouch! hopefully it will pass by quick! how is yasmin? is she jealous?.. im having probs with isa and breastfeeding :( eversince he got his vaccine he has been refusing the breast. Hes only nursing like 3 times a day and every time i try to even put him into breastfeeding position he'll turn his head away and cry. So far I have managed not to give him anything but breast but im so worried he is not having enough. :( inshaAllah it will pass soon!!

hi, it's 6am here i'm up... I woke up 1/2 hour ago because Mark was sleeping by my side (i vaguely remember bringing him near me about a couple hours ago), tried to change him but then he pee on my bed (arghhh) then went to get a new outfit and realized that the elevator in my house is still parked on 1, therefore my son (his room on 2) did not show up yet from his clubbing night (6am!!!!) so my heart was sinking and i called him petrified to know that he was in the basement watching a movie... i go so worried i lost my sleep... how's baby Housam doing? have you decided to spell it Housam? or Hosam? or even Husam?
