how are you doing? feeling well? feeling pregnant? i am really starting to look pregnant. i put some new pics of me on my blog (link on my page) i really am getting big. i thought i felt the baby move early in the pregnancy, now i know i feel him/her. still don't know if it is a boy or girl. i have another appt. wed. i will reschedule my u/s then. when do you find out?

i am sure you will pass those tests with flying colors... i have been so busy with Mark, especially that i have too many business dinners to go to so i take a hotel room near by and leave Mark there so he is close to me if he cries, my daughters and my helpers watch him, or my mom, i have slept 6 nights at hotels last 2 weeks, so imagine all the packing!

Hi there, yes, thnx, I'm fine and I hope the baby is also doing well. After a long battle I managed to get an appointment at a different hospital, it's on the 18th of this month! I guess the baby is fine because it is really moving a lot.. :-) Are u ok?

Good luck on the AFP test. Of course, as a result of our ages you may get a false positive reading. It happened to me and then the follow up ultrasound showed all was fine. I opted not to have the amnio though the doctors pushed for it. It was explained to me that my risk for miscarriage with the amnio was higher than my risk for a baby with problems. And actually the second AFP showed a reduction in risk when they factored in my age as a contributing element. Please let me know your results and God be with you.

You know what I think all this pre testing just worries mothers. I think I am going through with the amnio just for the fact that if there is a problem I want to know how to prepare for it. I've never been around children with downs syndrome, so it would be easier for me to know, even though I swore with my first I would never do amnio because of the risks, but I guess in different situations you choose different things. Just think on the positive sign, downs children are great children that are always happy and super loving. As far as being disbled downs syndrome isn't a big worry for me. I'd never terminate that would be too hard, but it is scary... just think a 1:45 chance is only like a 2% chance... 98% chance of a healthy baby

Hi Nadia, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. We have moved and just today got our internet set up here. I like our new place and have been busy fixing up the nursery. How are you feeling? I am really getting over it now. It is hard to sleep and even just to sit. I keep thinking I will have the baby early, but who knows. I will have an ultrasound next Thursday to determine the size of the baby, maybe my doctor will schedule an induction if the baby is big enough. I am sooooo ready! Anyway, keep me posted on your progress.

Salaam Nadia, Im so sorry to hear about your intestine problem. InshaAllaah it doesn't cause you too much pain. I asked a (muslim) doctor he is from lebanon, yesterday if it was ok to fast everyday and he said maybe if you could fast one day on and one day off. So i'll be doing that. I feel more comfortable with that because when I fast I dont feel my baby kick properly for days! Its really worrying! Yeah I have to feed a poor person for every day I miss though but that is ok to do! So how have you been feeling lately? I hope you are well. Love Maryam x

oh thats right. i forgot you had the nuchal scan. i didnt see it on ur page. IBD= irritable bowel? im not sure but isnt it with irritable bowel. do u take any meds for it? Ramadan is coming up. Inshallah i will be able to fast. I fasted with my daughter when i was pregnant with her and i did just fine, so im pretty sure ill be able too. How about ur self? with the IBD it might be kinda hard right? well inshallah u will be feeling better. Takecare!!!!!!!

MashaAllah im glad you are doing well. The fluttering is so exciting isn't it? Ramadan is very soon, i'm so excited! Only like 15 days away! I will try to fast but i'm going to ask a doctor today if its ok on me and my baby if it is ok to fast everyday. Ive been fasting a few days a week and i've noticed that he doesn't kick as much so its got me a little worried. But other than that i'm so excited! about all the yummy food and just the atmosphere in ramadan!! Sorry to hear about your intenstine problem :( will that cause you any problems in your pregnancy?

oh, everything is going smooth. my son started 6th grade and it is tough! we are very proud to say he started an 'advanced' school this year! it is just really tough for the parents. he has hours of homework a night. too much for a kid. we are working on homework right now. i have to stay close by to help out. some of it is too tough for mom and dad. makes my head hurt! i have to return my rental car tomorrow. that is stressing me out. i have to buy a new car soon. i don't know what i am going to do without a car. i would shop today but in oklahoma you can't buy a car on sunday. yesterday was my only car shopping day and it was my son's birthday. argh. back to the baby... i just don't feel like i am as far as the first edd says i should be. i did mark my calendar when i started my period. it was may 9th. some calendars say my edd is 2-12, 2-14 and i saw my paper work at the doc office and it said 2-24! that is news to me! i guess i will just wait and see friday. i go off my first edd which was 2-12-08. two days are a big deal right now. that puts me at 16 weeks on tuesday. my ob gave me the due date of 2-14 my first appt. don't know who put 2-24 on my chart or why it is there. i guess the baby will get here when he or she is ready.

Hey Nadia!! You sound like such a beautiful person and you are so easy to talk to. Just keep positive about your baby, inshallah everything will be fine, put your trust in Allah, he will not give you something you cant handle, just keep that in mind. Your daughter is right, everybody says that I look like my husband! Its very funny because we didnt even know each other, and have only known each other for two years in total, and we are married and have a baby on the way. My cousins wife gave birth on Friday, I went to visit her today and just looking at her baby nearly made me cry, because I know im going to be a mummy soon inshallah! Every mother worries about having a healthy baby. You have had 4 beautiful children and you will have a 5th gorgeous baby soon! STAY POSITIVE.

what is a structural scan? they are calling this an u/s for dating the due date, size of baby, and sex... that is all i know. i plan on having a 4d u/s around 20 weeks. i have to pay out of pocket for that. not too expensive, worth it just to get a clear picture.

thanks.. i am crazy about him.. last night was our 21st wedding anniversary, it was such a nice disaster! we decided to go to dinner on the 31st floor in habtoor hotel, 1 hour later half way through dinner, just when my hubby was getting romantic, daniel calls me that mark won't take the bottle and is fussy, so we left and went home and brought him to the restaurant and i was so worried about the elevator ride and mark's ears, then he sat with christy, my 18 year old on the side while we finished eating... lol it was so funny, then Mark helped us cut the cake when the dj sang for us.. and he stayed up until 2:30 am! it was a stressful time, now i am worried because i have a wedding to go to on sept. 6 and what shall i do if this happens again!! i don't know why he won't take the bottle, i have been giving it to him about once every week.. how are you doing??? can't wait to see that empty slot on your site with a baby picture!!!! when will you do the triple test? i know aug 30, but what week? i did mine on week 17.

Im pretty good alhamdulilah, just getting tired more often and starting to get anxious to be finished! Baby is active which makes me really happy, I just need a distraction to get this waiting game off my mind lol, coz time seems to be going so slow. How about you hun, how is everything going with your little baby. Are your children excited?

the tire didn't actually blow. we hit a curb going about 10 miles per hour turning into my house. my husband was waiting for me on the porch and said he heard the tire. we didn't even feel it. i am so paranoid behind the wheel now! i am test driving cars and i am so nervous! i went to the doc today and heard the baby's heartbeat (153 today.) i also found out i am going to find out the sex of the baby on the 31st of august. so exciting! really want a little girl. so much going lately. my son is back to school and has tons of work! got to get back in my back to school groove. how are you doing? any exciting appts to look forward too?
