Hello Everyone. First of all CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who are soon going to be mommies and daddies and BABY DUST to all who want to becomes mommies and daddies.
About me... well, I have been married since Feb 2005 and have trying to conceive ever since. I had been told many times before I got married that I would have a hard time to conceive because I was suffering from PCOS but I never thought that infertility would apply to me. However, after a year or so of trying to conceive naturally, my husband and I decided to get some proffesional help.
The first thing that my Doctor prescribed me was Metformin and explained to me that his medication will be lifetime for me. I then went on to fertility drugs, in particular Clomid & Profassi. My husband and I also tried two rounds of IUI (artificial insemination). When all that failed, my doctor gave me two options 1) IVF (test-tube baby) or 2) Surgery. My husband and I discussed at great lengths and decided to go for the Surgery.
And so I went in for Laproscopic Ovarian Drilling in May 2007. During the surgery, it was discovered that both my tubes were blocked. In the same surgery, my doctor made an attempt to repair both my tubes without expecting any positive results. However, in June 2007, I had an HSG done which confirmed that the surgery was a great sucess and both my tubes were good as new. In July 2007, my husband and I became busy and we conceived the same month - naturally!!!
I am now proud to say I am 5.6 weeks pregnant and cannot wait for this pregnancy to be over so that my husband and I can hold our first born in our arms.
21st February 2008
I am so happy today that I decided I will actually update my page as I have not done that since I have joined this site. Well, I am 31 weeks and 4 days today... I cannot stop smiling. I also had an ultrasound and everything looks good. My hameglobin looks good too. And my weight gain is on track. And my baby is beautiful... no idea if it's a girl or boy but doesn't matter... I love my sweet little baby.... I love everything about my baby including the way my baby pokes me in my stomach when I least expect it! Ok, so pregnancy was not fun in the beginning but it's great now and soon... so soon... and possibly much sooner as my due date has been brought forward by one week. So it looks like it's going to be an Aries baby after all and not Taurus. Baby's father is Taurus so we were looking forward to a Taurus baby but if it's an Aries, it just means I can hold him/her earlier... I don't mind.
Congrats!! You've been thru a lot and am happy your dreams are coming true now! Good luck with everything!! |
