I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Hi, Congratulations on your baby twins they look so cute. I found out on tuesday that i'm expecting twin the end of sept. Just a quick question, do they sleep in the same crib/cot now or do you have separate ones, unsure what to do for the best. Hope all is well and your not too tired.!!!

I'm having boy/girl twins also but my girl is bigger, at my 32wk u/s she was around 4lbs 1oz. and he was 3lbs 10oz. today is my 34 u/s I can't wait to see how much they've grown. Try not to worry.

Hello Nancy! I gave birth to b/g twins at 37 weeks on feb.20th and my girl was smaller than my son. My girl was 5lbs 7oz and my son 6lbs 2oz. So it's normal hang in there you will see your bundle of joys soon.

If there is nothing wrong with you or the babies I don't think they should be able to tell you that you must have them at 36 weeks. I have heard different theories and I guess different doctors have different ideas. Many of the twins on the blogs that I read are born at 36 weeks and do well but if you are uncomfortable then put your foot down -- it's your body and your babies. I do know they don't recommend going too long because your placenta starts to break down after a while - well before a singleton one would. You asked why my goal is 36 weeks - My doctor told me when I first got pregnant that twins were considered full term at 36-37 weeks and we would set our goal at 36 weeks. I was classified as very high risk because I'm almost 37, having twins and have cronic high blood pressure. At 34 weeks, both babies scored 8/8 on the biophysical profile and weighed 4lb15oz and 4lb14oz. Now at 35w4d, we are now taking each day at a time - the babies could come now and be fine but longer would be better, but too long may strain my body too much.

I read several twin blogs and it seems that many of the twins are born close to 36 weeks -- they can test for lung maturity before they are delivered. Carrying them as long as you have is something to be proud of and if the fluid gets too low it is safer for them outside than in. It seems natural to be nervous/scared I am sure that I would be. My doctor told me just this week that it is perfectly fine to take Benadryl -- I guess you should call your doctor to ask in case you have an underlying reason that I don't have -- like and allergy or something.

I drink about 8-10 16oz glasses/bottles of water a day. It doesn't hurt to drink too much water, I suppose. Maybe check the color of your urine, the lighter the better, I guess.

For you sore throat, you might want to try gargling warm water with lots if salt. For your runny nose, you may want to try flushing your sinus with warm water and salt (yet again) or buying a saline spray to spray up your nostrils. Both have worked wonders for me. I am 34 weeks along with twins weighing nearly 6 lbs each. Good luck!

Hi Nancy -- just wanted to reply to your post about the weight difference of your babies. My babies were about a pound different at my last monthly U/S -- I was 29 weeks 5 days. My perinat. said not to worry because the smaller one has been tracking along at a steady pace she just happens to be smaller than her sister -- but my OB sent me for weekly monitoring just to be safe so that we can notice early on if a problem is arising. Hrmm I saw your post as well. At 32w0d my girl weighed 3lb5oz, and my boy 3lb9oz. My doc was very happy with their weights. Im now 36wks :) try not to stress!

nancy- Hi I also saw your post and wanted ro let you know that they also make orange juice with calcium in it...maybe that would be easier for you to tolerate?hope it helps!
