Wednesday, 12 Mar We played the ice one at the baby shower for my 1st boy 6 years ago, I loved it too, it was funny. We are doing one where each person gets a ball of play doh and they have to make a play doh baby behind their backs and they only get 30 seconds. And untraditionally we are doing a pinata. Thats for my amusement, I thought it would be hilarious to see adults hit a pinata, There will be good stuff in it though, full size candy bars and scratch tickets. kajk -
Wednesday, 12 Mar Your right it is stony - my bad! :) Yeah they are really fantastic. When I was there you had your 'main' mw but still saw the others just in case your wasn't available which is what happened of course! LOL Anyway it was a fantastic experience and I hope it all goes just as well for you as it did for me!
Sparwood is about 20 minutes over the AB/BC border coming in from Lethbridge or Calgary. We have 'the world's largest truck' display which you can see on your way passing by to Fernie. It's a teeny town but surrounded by mountains and trees so beautiful and peaceful.
I basically grew up in Edmonton and majority of my family is still there. I rarely come as I HATE big cities but have always said that if I am forced to move back then it will be to Stony or Spruce Grove. Well Kids are calling - ttyl. kajk -
Wednesday, 12 Mar HI, you commented on my page a while ago. I was just going through a re-reading ppl's pages and I just noticed your from edmonton - any chance you are going to stoney plain birth centre? If you are you made a fantastic choice... that is where I had my second and it is what made me realize that birthing really can be a fantastic experience through and through! If not.. well can't say much b/c I am not familiar with any other birth centres in the area. I hope all is well for you and your family! mrt2153 -
Tuesday, 11 Mar That sounds just like what I'm feeling! I just came from the doctor and she said it's normal to only feel the baby on the one side too. I forgot to ask her about the hiccups, so I'm glad to hear your experience. Thanks! dawnp -

Saturday, 8 Mar Thanks a bunch...I really wish i didnt have to induce myself at all, but dbf is 800 miles away from me along with the rest of my family&& friends....and we have no ideal when baby will come, so I want to atleast have some insight so I know when he should come down...since my doc doesnt check for dilation, i have no ideal whats going on..I just dont want him to come too early and miss alot of work...or come to late and miss the birth of his first child..so its risky and kind of frustrating at the same time..but thank you truly for your response, I am just going to try the red rasp tea&& primrose oil(do you know where i can get that from)...to be on the safe side..oh yeah walking but I do that enough anyways;-) thanks so much!!! Friday, 7 Mar It's called the 'business of being born' and I believe it will be available by the end of this month. I attended a preview of it that was organised by a non profit organisation and until it's release this is the only way to see it.However I am reading a fantastic book right now that is a bit older but extremely informative: Gentle birth choices by Barbara Harper, R.N. You may want to check out the local library or contact a midwife in your area that may be able to direct you to some resources. I hope this can help you, I am finding that the more I read, the more confidence I have in my own bodies abilities and it is a wonderful empowering feeling. Take care Natalie hismunchkin05 -
Friday, 7 Mar Thanks. I have had one done, just didn't know it. LOL.
btw, how's Edmonton this time of year? I went there in 99 and I loved it. Cryptic304 -
Friday, 7 Mar haha I know me too. Even with my first one I wanted to stay there as long as possible. But that was because I didnt know what the hell I was doing with a baby. I'm not really much of a kid person. I mean hell I never even baby sat in high school and stuff. ha. Cryptic304 -
Friday, 7 Mar I know how you feel...
My 3 year old seems to be driving me crazy. I feel so bad because I just have to will or energy to play or anything and she gives me this heartbreaking look. Which of course gets me all upset. Luckly my mother has been taking her alot but still...I totally feel you. Cryptic304 -
Wednesday, 5 Mar yea my last ultrasound measured two weeks later and then my recent belly checks have been measuring 3 weeks later. Yes I have an ultrasound on monday. Exctied about that def. We caught a great glimpse of her face on my nst the other day and it was so neat! She is getting so big! So def excited about seeing her again monday. But my high risk/diabetes dr told me if she was getting too big or what not they may test her lungs and induce her which I am wanting really. Unless I go before then. My husband says his father intuition says I'll have her by the end of the week! I dont know about all that but I would def be for it! turkishminno -
Tuesday, 4 Mar Do mind if I ask why you're taking raspberry leaf tea? I was under the impression that it brought on labor, or is credited in doing so. That's what my pregnancy book says and it says not to take it unless your at your due date. I was wondering if you heard something different, or that it can help out in some other way or has other benifits. Hope things are good. :) aine -

Tuesday, 4 Mar ha, I know excatly what you mean. I am supposed to be on this really strict diet but I just cant help it sometimes...sweets and Im just so hungry these days! Well they say boys are bigger than girls in most cases anyway...and 8lbs is still in the average range. More than that is when they say its over. How many weeks later is your baby measuring? Cryptic304 -
Tuesday, 4 Mar oh wow well def good to hear Im not alone in that situation. Do you have gestational or is the baby just measuring big? Did you say they think its just the fluids? sunny3 -
Sunday, 2 Mar i dont know how to go about it... is there like a forum or a search engine where i can look up a hospital in my area that supports waterbirths? tannersmommy -
Friday, 29 Feb Thanks for your response. Somoeone told me that theirs went away on its own, so maybe there is hope for us. I had never heard of it before and am trying to figure out what it involves. I'm terrified that when I'm pushing the kiddo out my skin will split open and everything fall out. Gross sorry! Best wishes to you. suzi -
Wednesday, 27 Feb with a biophysical..they check fluid levels. they check for breeathing, e extensions, and flexion,2 movements, and check the SD ratio,to make sure enough blood is flowing in the umblical cord. each thing they check gets a rating. its out of 8 points. so you want an 8/8.its basically chesks teh well being of your baby.good luck hope it helps
