What are the real benefits from cord blood banking ? How long does it last for? I've heard not forever. What would they use it for ? Just curious as I've been thinking about it but am not real sure on the benefits for our own child...I know its useful for reasearch though......

Getting the room together is the best part I've experianced in my pregnancy so far except for finding out that I'm having a girl.

The baby is doing fine...that is the only thing. Nothing really physically wrong with me except not being able to stand too long and of course my back hurts now and then...but emotionally is a different story.

I love your background on your page...it's pretty:) I am glad everything is going ok with you:)

Hi there.. thanks for the response regarding the blood banking. I was all set to go with it but now I am reading about how by clamping the cord too early the baby doesn't get 40% of the blood it actually needs. Have you done any research on this?

Thank you for leaving a comment on my page. Why are men so incompassionate while we are pregnant?? Mine has picked a fight with me every day this week.

Then he wonders why I am sad and when i tell him he then retorts 'so it's all my fault' I got put on leave early (due to back problems and leg problems) and I still don't see my husband. It's like Im still working full time.

If it wasn't for this little girl...man o man. How has your pregnancy been going besides our lovely husbands/men

Wow, well no wonder you've managed to keep the lbs off! I too am wayyy more active this pregnancy because of our little guy. Never a moment to sit still it seems. First pregancy I was like you, sat at desk all day in front of a computer. Came home napped, etc. Lazy really. But this time i'm napping when I need it, and trying to eat less overall. It took me 2 years to lose 80lbs. I really regret gaining so much... but this time I'll definately use more self-control. And if it takes a year to get the weight off..so be it! Did you find that you started to show more quickly with this pregnancy than with the first one? I sure am!...I think I look more like i'm 4 1/2 months along then actually 3. Guess the body remembers... and stretches more quickly!

Yup, I'm going to have to pull our bassinet/bumbo chair/baby tub etc. out of storage. We're buying new furniture for the baby because our first is keeping his crib (converts to a toddler bed) and his dresser. I'll use the change table again. I've saved all our little guys clothes in case we have another boy. If it's a girl i'll be consigning a whole LOT of clothes.... But it's kinda exciting to think about buying all new little girl stuff.
How have u managed to only gain a few pounds with this pregnancy (I too gained a mountain of weight with my first) Have u been feeling ok??!

Hi there. Thanks for your comment. Yes, she is sucking her hand. She would not move it from her mouth but for a second. I think it is just too cute that she is doing that. Wish she could have moved it for more than she did so we could see her entire face! Sometimes I think those shots are more of a curse than a blessing! I worry too much I know, but I just want her to be ok. How are you doing in your pregnancy? Congratulations to you and good luck!

Yea the caffeine thing really gets to me when I hear woman litterly bragging about drinking Mocha Lattes all day! Are they crazy after all the news recently about caffeine, why even chance it- ya know! A little every now and then I could understand.. I know when I eat chocolate or have a drink of hubbys coke (usually after dinner to settle my stomache) Alana wiggles and squirms for 30-45 minutes. Thats very unusual for her... Ok Im done with venting on ya - sorry!!
