Sweet Little Baby
Hello, sweet little baby growing inside
I guess we're both along for the ride.
I'm excited...I'm nervous...I'm filled with joy!
I can't help but wonder if you're a girl or a boy.
It's too soon to tell, which is just as well
It doesn't matter to me whatever you'll be.
Still, I catch myself... wishing I knew
what will you wear, pink or blue?
I am ready for you, either way
I find myself dreaming what we will play.
Tea parties for a girl, Sailboats for a boy
as soon as I know, I'll buy you a toy.
I can't wait to tell, everyone I know
the wonderful news... should I wait 'til I show?
Soon you'll see how much I care
there's so much to do, so much to share
But first I must thank God above
for sending you, for me...to love!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Don't worry, it's not as awful as it might sound. Like anything it just takes a little getting used to. Everything will be fine, even if you have to take the meds don't worry like I said a lot of women actually have this condition, it is not some rare strange disease or anything lol. :)

It doesn't have to be the exact same time everyday but just try to keep it as close to the same time as you can, that way your body is getting a constant dose of the meds. If you choose to take it at night that's fine, I beleive if you take it after eating you have to wait like a half hour though so it will get absorbed better. (The same goes for if you take it before you eat, wait a good 30 minutes before eating.)Don't worry they should tell you all this stuff if they end up putting you on the meds, once you get the basics down you won't even have to think about it anymore.

No problem, let me know how your results turn out. :)

Yeah mine is on track now, I have had it tested a few times since my first pregnancy. I understand your worry, especially as you are in your first pregnancy. They can control that well though and in fact is one of the relativly easy things to diagnose and treat. So that is why I said not to worry! I have been Ok since my first pregnancy ended but because it has happened in the past they will check it throughout all my pregancies to make sure it hasn't started again. It runs in the family so it is a concern for me. Now your Doctor has found it they will work out the best plan for you and the baby, but things should be ok for the both of you. My Sister in law had thyroid trouble between pregnancies and until it was regulated they reqquested she not get pregnant. They will probably just do extra monitoring of you and if you are put on meds they will keep doing so to make sure it is helping enough. When Is your next appointment following up from the blood test? Hopefully it will be soon. Let me know what happens. I will be praying for you

I'm "hypothyroid" which means my thyroid is low. I think I might have had this before I got pregnant too because I was always heavy as a teenager, always felt sluggish/tired, I'm always cold when other people aren't, my hair sheds really easily, etc. At first I was really scared because I didn't know much about it, but I have met other people who have the same thing and as long as you get on meds and take them daily your thryroid will get back on track. (I've been on meds for four years now.) They will more than likely prescribe "Synthroid" and start you on a low dose until they recheck your bloodwork around 30 days later. The thing with thyroid in pregnancy is that once they know you have a problem it needs to be corrected and then monitored and rechecked at least once a month because it can go up and down until you get on the right dose. Once they get it straightend out though you will have more energy and just feel better in general. I am curious as to why your doctor didn't put you on meds right away, especially since you are pregnant.

I dont think we get use to it lol. Every pregnancy is different. Im hoping for a boy but as long as he/she is healthy is all that matters.

Thanks for the colorful graphic. I love it. I was also scared in the in beginning, but I felt better in the second trimester and even better in the third trimester when things started to get more stable.

I had insurance under my dad that would not cover my pregnancy. You should check under your state's medicaid program. In louisiana, there is a special medicaid program called LAMoms for pregnant woman. I can still go to my normal doctors, and it doesn't cost anything(not even copay).
