Yea I hate men doctor's too. Ok even at almost 30 weeks pregnant people still tell me how I dont look big at all to be this far along, well my damn doc told me I was to big and needed to work out more and start watching what I eat!! I almost started crying. I think only women she be allowed to be doc's lol

mandy85 - Tuesday, 7 October
So far its not working :-( I have been doing this on and off for a few weeks now. I go back to the doc Monday so maybe I can hold off til then. I just feel stupid everytime I ask him something he looks at me and shakes his head and says well yea your pregnant thats going to happen. So I dont like calling unless I have too.

mandy85 - Tuesday, 7 October
Thank you so much I'll try that

BabyBlessing - Friday, 3 October
Hi.. I did fail the 1 hour glucose test ,my sugar as at 182 which is way off the mark and then I failed the 3 hour too.. So now I have to visit the dietitian and see if controlling my diet wud help..
Let me know how ur 3 hour test goes..

tammie1 - Wednesday, 1 October
my doctor wanted my cut off at 130, I am not sure if it is because of my age or even my weight. I am 36 and overweight. Either way, 130 or 135 I am only a few points over. Do you have to go for the 3 hour test now? It wasn't so bad, I just hated having to sit there for all that time. I have to go directly to the lab so you cannot make an apppointment and I sat there for an hour before I could even be seen so I was there a total of 4 hours. Luckily it is done. Hopefully the doctor will know the results tomorrow. Good luck with everything and let me know how things are going for you.

I failed my 1 hour glucose test and had to do the 3 hour fasting one. I don't have the results of that yet, I just went on Monday, hopefully when I see my doctor on Thursday he will have the results. I test at a 138 at my 1 hour one. The nurse said it wasn't real high but higher than they like. I am a tad nervous because she said it was probably because of something I ate at breakfast. The problem being is that I didn't have breakfast before I went. I guess I will find out soon enough.

Glad to hear everything worked out alright for you. I am going to make some phone calls today on the 3D places, since they have not returned my emails...ugh.

lyndsay2619 - Thursday, 18 September
OMG, that's crazy! They are perfectly safe. I've read that some places require a Dr's note to make sure you already had a routine US around week 20 to check for any abnormalities etc. But when I asked my Dr about the 3d/4d US she said she heard they're neat, but had no idea where to go or look...I've emailed a few places for info. but they have not replied to date...I guess I'm going to have to call. But I have NEVER heard of the Dr's office not providing the info the 3d/4d place needs! Good luck!

Thank you!!!

CWeeks - Wednesday, 3 September
Oh no, that sounds bad. LOL I'll have to look it up and maybe give my doctor a call. That's good that it goes away, I haven't gained much weight, but I'm obviously bigger so there is more pressure. I thought maybe because I sneeze a lot and pee a little at the same time maybe that has something to do with it too. LOL

Thanks for letting me know about it!

sara-in-oregon - Wednesday, 3 September
well, I like to hike and before I was pregnant I did even longer ones... but i had so much nausea and morning sickness for so long that I didn't get out much and so I wasn't sure if I could do it.

anyway, i was pretty pleased with myself for doing this hike... it made me feel like it's not so bad that I've gained 30 lbs already if I can still hike like that. :)

sara-in-oregon - Tuesday, 2 September
Yeah, I also noticed that on saturday when I went for a long slow hike (6.29 miles) that the baby slept practically all day...maybe from the walking/rocking motion? Probably he was awake and moving all night after that but I myself was sound asleep after my hike.

toni122108 - Tuesday, 2 September
oh yes, its the same here with me. Ive had days where the baby was very quiet and the ony movement was very subtle, and still do. You could talk to a nurse at your docs office just for reassurance, but I wouldnt worry too much. there are times where I'll eat sugar and lay down just to get baby moving, and barely anything happens! last time i as at the docs I asked them about it and they said at 28 weeks is when the movement becomes more coordinated and you can do fetal movement counts if you want (eat something, lay down, count 10 movements in an hour), but before then, as long as you feel some movement, probably not really anything to be concerned with.

cjhoney - Monday, 18 August
I'm feeling like i could pop any day now!! She is moving a lot also... keeping me up at night but it doesn't matter I like being about to feel her.

cjhoney - Friday, 15 August
Hey i was just wondering if you are feeling fetal movement yet?

crystallynn - Monday, 28 July
lol i know its like Alyssa isnt a normal name...i think wyatt is cute! the only reason his family doesnt like alyssa is because his ex girlfriends LITTLE SISTER was named alyssa. i could understand if it was his ex's name but its her little sister...i dont see the big deal

crystallynn - Wednesday, 23 July
THANKYOU! there are so many people who have put in their opinion of the name and no one likes it but me and matt and my family. but i guess we are the only ones who matter anyway!
