Well I am excited to be pregnant again. My husband is really really excited. He is hoping for a boy since we already have a lil girl. I am scared but excited at the same time. I think it is too early for this baby cause Natalie is only 4 1/2 months old. Can't change anything now. The best thing to do is to be happy and get ready.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I just got diagnosed with GD as well and its not so bad. They put us on a low GI diet and make us check our blood sugar levels 3 times a day. The best thing you can do is not eat any sugar the dy before the test and walk around between the blood draws to burn up the sugar.
If I knew then what I do now I would start eating low GI foods now. Mulitgrain breads and anything that is slow release energy. Check how much sugar is in what you eat and stay away from white potato and carbs as much as you can. Walk for 3 minutes a day to burn calories and reduce your serving sizes. They also said to snack 3 times a day, after dinner is most important to keep your sugar levels level so they dont go up and down a lot.
Google low GI diet and follow them and you will be ok. If it doesnt work you might need insulin but they start on monitoring you diet with all low GI.
Hope that helps and let me know how you go. If you need to pick my brain I will read through my stuff and try to find the answers for you.
Take care and its not the end of the world though I know how upsetting it is

I'm kind of in the same situation, I just found out yesterday I failed my 1 hour test by 30....my sugar was 170 instead of below 140. I also go monday for my 3 hour. I just recently moved and my old doctor didn't feel the need to do it, he decided to wait until i moved and to just let the new OB deal with it....so I'm pretty pissed off...it should've been done what????? 6 weeks ago!
Good luck on monday!!
