I'm already a mother of a 4 year old and I'm excited and nervous about starting all over again for a second time. My due date is Jan 2, but my husband and I just might have a New Year's Baby.
I've been married for 6 years now and we were blessed to have our son. This is my third pregnancy but one ended due to an ectopic pregnancy in 2003. I'm looking forward to connecting with other moms here on this site, I've always thought it was pretty cool to be in touch with others who are going through such an amazing experience.
a baby is something you carry inside, for nine months, in your arms, for 3 years, & in your heart, til the day you die.

the heart rate cannot determin the sex sorry the only way it can be predicated 100% is by amnio or cvs. However ultrasound if you are lucky enough because the baby has to be in the right postion for the sonographer to see the gender.
Getting back to the heart rate l ask my ob this same question - she said the heart rate constantly changes depending on what is happening with the baby ie - when he/she is awake it is faster as opposed when the baby is a sleep. So therefore the only way of knowing is the three ways l mentioned above.
Are you hopeing for a girl or boy? Or do you just wont to know - because you dont like suprises like me!

i wanted 2 know the sex but my partner doesnt. after thinking about it tho, i can imagine the experience of being handed ur baby for the 1st time and being told the gender is amazing. i wanna know how that feels so we r gunna keep it a suprise! take care x x x a
