♥Concerns: my husband missing the birth, what the doctor will say when i ask about an induction, STRETCHMARKS!, getting my sexy shape back ( not to be conceited), pain of labor, losing my baby

♥Cravings: Pizza, sour candy, cheese, eggs coca cola

♥Due Date: April 12th 2008

Thursday, 28 Feb
So im 33 weeks pregnant and the worries kick in...what if the baby isnt ok? what if he stops kicking? is he really kicking the amount he should its driving me crazii. im seeing everyone of my friends around me give birth to perfect babies and i just pray i do the same. Im terrified of losing him for no reason.. hopefully things get better. I just have changed my life and mind setting so much into being a mom id be terrified to lose the little guy. is this normal to be so worried?

Friday, 29 Feb
some weird things my baby does in the womb: He hiccups anywhere from 2-3 times a day.....He kicks my side sometimes so hard my whole body shakes. ....He kicks me so hard i actually say `OH MY GOD! `... he sticks his butt out and i have this lump on one side of my stomach lol... just thought id share those weird but probably normal things im feeling. =)

Friday, 14 Mar
sooo today i feel pressure like i cant close my legs. like there is something slipping further and lower. omg so hard to explain without making it seem like he `s coming out lol

Friday, 14 Mar
so everyone knows i had a stretchmark scare a week back that turned out to be a cat scratch. it disapeared by evening and all was well =) but it really scared me. my husband is really critical about looks so i want him to be 100 percent satisfied! my tummy is stretchmark free. im currently 35 weeks ... yeah !!

Monday, 17 Mar
36 weeks..nine months prego today...very tired. pain in my sciatic nerve. very intense Braxton hicks. hunger. swollen ankles and toes and feet. relationship problems causing stress. nursery just about together!very excited and in need of relationship advice

Wednesday, 19 Mar
Today i went to the doctor. im 36 weeks+ and i did the baby stress test i think they call it that. where they hook your belly up to a heart beat monitor for 15 minutes and lok at the results. 10 out of 10. that makes me feel great. i was scared because the other day i was moving the baby furniture around despite warnings not to. my husbands in the military so i had no manly help. im on my own =( but the babys ok and i wont do it again. the doc also measured amniotic fluid around the baby with an U/S and it was perfect 10 out of 10! another piece of good news. im going to be nduced at 39 weeks. ill letcha know how that progresses. next wed. is my appt for 37 weeks. im excited. but there is bad news...my husband wont talk to me, and he `s being a jerk. i dont think he wants to be with me anymore. =( well any ways these are things im dealing with now. toodles

Monday, 24 Mar

im currently 37 weeks and 1 day. its easter sunday. and with all the activity ive been up to im getting alot of pain. cramping and lower back pain. i dont think its labor becaue im only 37 weeks but it is painful. i cant sleep very well and im out of breath. i have been feeling the extra weight in my feet toes and ankles. like al of a sudden the 32 plus pounds ive gained are making a big impression. its ard to be on my feet. weird because im not even huge. im just getting bigger. i feel bad for those who gain an enormous amount. how do they deal? i got to the doctor on wednesday and i get checked. if im dilated, they may induce me next saturday! yeah i really hope!

March 30, 2008

My husband left back over 2 pensacola after finally visiting me. although he didnt take me out, we spent the first alone time 2gether in the longest. as 4 my pregnancy.... I'm doing well. i think the sex i had this weekend, did me good. ive been feeling somewhat more ready 2 give birth. i think its been easier 2 have sex in the very end of my pregnancy. sorry if its TMI, but it is pregnancy related. anyways... I'm getting induced most likely next saturday april 5th, but tomarrow i find out if its 4 sure. they are going 2 check me, & see where i stand. wish me luck everyone! and pray i dont go into labor until friday! because i want my hubby to be there! baby dust!

March 31, 2008

HEY EVERYONE! GREAT NEWS! I WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY & HE AGREED TO START MY INDUCTION PROCESS THURSDAY AT 5:00. it's so funny how different areas have different procedures! he just had to go and take the physical and tests like that, and it was pretty cool, b/c they put them up in a hotel and give them some meals and stuff. he's not actually done yet though because he couldn't pee in the cup- i told him i have plenty of experience with that just from the last couple months! haha- but he has to go do the pee thing monday and then gets to choose his date to leave after that!

Hi, I'm an 18yo Marine wife. :) I've been married since I was 16. About the maternity pads thing, usually they'll give you a pack to go home with, but I used the overnight Maxi Pads because you'll probably bleed alot, (Depending on how your delivery goes) I had a c-section and bled for approx 5 weeks.

I liked the Always Ultrathin overnight with wings pads for after the baby. They seemed to work pretty well. I think those are the maximum absorbency you can get (I don't like the big thick ones.) About the sharp pains...I swear with my last pregnancy I could feel it when I started to dilate. It felt like a needle prick kind of pain in my cervix. It certainly was odd. I think I've felt it a few times this time already (I hope!) My first 2 kids were overdue, my third we weren't sure about, but I'm hoping to go a week or 2 early with this one!

Sorry, I just saw your post on your other questions. We just went to our first prenatal class last night and the primary topic was true labor vs. pre labor (or false labor) – you can look up on line all the signs, but the biggest one she told us was when your contractions get regular and are 5 mins apart you need to go to the hospital. Check out labor signs on this sight under forum and info. It has some good information, particularly the last paragraph that explains the contractions.
I get the electric shock feeling also – very uncomfortable. There must be a nerve there that baby is touching.
My girlfriend told the the pads they have at the hospital are the best because they are ginormous, haha, she took some home with her. I am not sure what else she used at home, I will just ask the nurses.

hey! thanks for all the info! joe is actually at the overnite thing today and taking the asvab and getting physicalled now! and i got to talk to the recruiter today so he cleared up all my questions too! i glanced at your info too... are you from quincy, illinois? so if i'm being too nosy!

I think its weird that you dont know the results to your diabetes test. My doc told me like 10 minutes after they took the blood, they just did it right then and there. I would ask them, maybe they forgot to tell you. I guess if your docs office doesnt have a lab then they couldnt do it right then but it only takes a minute to get the results.

My Dr. has also instructed 10 kicks per day. 3 30 mins periods throughout the day to equal a min of 10 movements.

hi! i just saw that your name was navywife and wanted to ask you about that! my boyfriend is considering joining the navy, and doing basic training about three months after the baby is born. are you going to be able to go to different locations with him? that's my biggest concern, but both recruiters we talked to said i would be able to travel with him, once we get married, which is in the works! anyways i just wanted your input... and noticed that we have a lot of the same cravings! haha! good luck with the rest of your pregnancy- you're almost there!

SuzanneMarie - Sunday, 24 Feb
That is when I should hopefully be able to move up with him or near him.. thank goodness... Three hours is still tough... but at least we will have our bundles to keep us company

Aghh- men can be so irritating at times! thanks for the comment- i think i get mad- becasue he spends about 6 months a year overseas working- so when he is here- i expect him to be with me! he's been back for 2 months and hasn't gone anywhere- he cooks all meals and cleans all day while i am at work- so he feels that its his chance to get a change of scenery- which i understand- but like your problem- its definetly a communication problem that comes from being apart for extended periods:( If only they understood the right approach and the female need for things to be explained. Had to rant;) lol- thanks and best of luck to you.

SuzanneMarie - Saturday, 23 Feb
Wow we have alot in common!
lol!
So is your husband gone already?? If you don't mind me asking.. my fiance is leaving soon :(

great advice from aderyn3..DO NOT use honey..its in the Parents magazine actually this month how it can poison the baby before the age of one.. i had to have the side snap tshirts until my baby's belly button fell off and also the zip up sleepers (not the snap ones) are wonderful at night so you dont have to mess with the snaps when youre half asleep..I I used a warm mist humidifier to help my baby sleep at night when she was congested (lifesaver). you'll be fine.they really dont need too much..

aderyn3 - Thursday, 21 Feb
Hi there! You really don't need alot the first week or so. Bottles and formula if you're not nursing, a couple of spit up rags. A couple of towels, baby wash. As far as medicine, they usually don't recommend anything for very young infants, just refer you to the doctor/ER. Infant concentrated Tylenol drops will eventually come in handy, though, especially for shots if you choose to do that. Other than that a pack or 2 of onesies, a few gowns or footed sleepers, diapers, wipes, a little cotton cap to wear around the house if it's cold where you are to help keep baby's temperature normal. Whatever you do, please don't ever give a newborn or young infant honey like someone else posted! While it is a wonderful antiseptic, honey is not safe for infants under the age of 1 because of the risk of botulism. I am very into natural healing and herbals and try to give my kids the least amount of conventional medication I can, but I would NEVER give an infant honey. Even though the risk might be small, to me it's not worth the chance. If you want to clean the baby's mouth, like they said, you can use a damp baby washcloth wrapped around your finger, or they have little rubber tooth and gum cleansers that work well, especially when they get to teething. If you have any other baby questions, feel free to ask! This is my 4th baby. I also had my first fairly young (I was 19 when I got pregnant with her) so I know it can be rough, but it's definitely doable! I wouldn't change my life for anything. Just remember, all your baby really 'needs' is a full belly, a dry butt, warmth, and love. Good luck!

duenaprl - Thursday, 21 Feb
I found with my first baby that gowns are the best.. You are constantly changing their diapers and gowns make it that much easier. Especially at 3am!!

flineagle - Thursday, 21 Feb
my sister had two babies in the last two years and from watching her I know that you need diapers, wipes and basic clothing- onsies and rompers(thats the full body outfits that even cover the toes) right away. also something for gas relief and something like honey to clean the babies' mouth. you need lots of receiving blankets as they may get soiled often and hooded towels so you can keep baby's head covered.lots of washcloths. mittens so the baby doesnt scratch up their face; clipping their nails is just not enough so the best thing is to use mittens or socks if you run out. a lot of items on baby lists your baby doesnt need right away, theres just a few things they will need. you'll need weather appropriate clothes and blankets for when you have to take baby out(you dont want to make a trip to get these with baby if they are not properly dressed.) a carseat from the start so you can leave the hospital.

Hello. I hope you are feeling great today. I am also on watch for premature labor because my cervix is already dilated to 1cm. I am 30 weeks pregnant. I know you are scarred to death and I know how you feel. I am so worried about having him early and that he is at high risk for neurological problems and health problems because of the size he would be. I had my 1st son 6 weeks early so I was already high risk. FYI if you are bottle feeding: My sister-in-law’s daughter was early and she weighed only 4 pounds. She told me the other nights that the baby would not drink off of a normal nipple because it was too big for her mouth and that there are nipples for preemies. I am going to go ahead and order some just to have on hand. I am going to use the Dr. Brown’s bottle and that nipple goes to that bottle. I found them on Amazon.com. I live in a small town so we don’t have any baby stores around here.

ladobruk - Wednesday, 6 Feb
You might bypass all the discomforts of 30 weeks and beyond! I hope baby hangs in there for another 6 weeks. I have read babies are considered full term at 37 weeks. They will be a little skinny, but everything is done developing.
I too am enjoying pregnancy for the most part. I am not sleeping lately and have lots of aches and pains. But all in all I don’t have any major complaints. Good luck, I hope everything is fine.

Hiya
How's the pregnancy going? We are fine, took my baby for a swim today for the 2nd time and he loved it, the first time he cried a bit as he was so tired but today he didn't cry once and loved the water. Will def try and go every other week!! How is your pregnancy going? You getting tired yet or not too bad? Mmm fingers crossed you will spring back to shape after your baby is born, being young and fit you should do! It takes about a month for your tummy to go back down and then its just toning it up again!! Chat soon lizzie x

lizzie123 - Monday, 28 Jan
Hiya!! I notice some purple marks first and thought they were veins then each week I noticed a new one. I have them on the back of my knees, hips, boobs, back and tummy. I was so upset when I saw them but now my baby is here I am not so bothered. I wish I didn't have them but I am happier that I have a healthy baby here. I am a bit worried about this years holiday to spain. Not sure I will be wearing a bikini this year or ever again!! Tankini's from now on, lol!!! You usually take after your mum, my mum got them bad and so did my sister so the fact that you havn't got any says to me you probably won't so think you will be a lucky one!!! Don't worry about it too much though! So do you think you will have your baby naturally? Do you know if its a boy or girl? I had a boy, he is 5mths now and started to get into everything, trying him out on puree's this last couple of weeks, he likes most, except parsnip!!! lol. Well best of luck and chat soon, lizzie

lizzie123 - Saturday, 26 Jan
