Pregnant With a Boy, Due On My Birthday, March 19th, 2008!!

Hello, as you can see, I am 7 months preggo with number 3. We are extremely excited for March to get here. Pregnancy is going as well as can be expected so far. I have 2 children, ages 8 and 6 and a wonderful husband that has been in the United States Navy for 12 years. I just graduated last semester with my AA in Elementary Education. I was suppose to start on my bachelors in the spring but the baby takes presedence..lol. We found out we are having another son due on my birthday, March 19th, and we are going to name him Sebastian. Good luck to everyone else preggo!

January 9th, 2008

30 Weeks Pregnant!!!

Finally the 30th week is here! It sounds weird to say I am 30 weeks pregnant! My little man is kicking and moving around so much! I think he is getting really big because my Hydronephrosis is getting worse! Hydronephrosis is where the uretal tube is obstructed from the uterus pushing against it which causes urine to back up into the kidney. The kidney dilates causing flank and middle back pain. I was given the choice to take pain meds/muscle relaxers or get a tube put into my urethra to my kidney for the remainder of my pregnancy. So, needless to say, I chose the pain killers. Next week I have an appointment with ultrasound to make sure there is enough fluid around the baby. I am measuring small and I had low amniotic fluid with my other two children. So, other than this stuff, my pregnancy is going along well. I have gained 16 pounds so far and everywhere I go, everyone tells me how small I am. I know I should be thankful but it gets really annoying because I think something is wrong. I guess we aren't happy whether we are big and prego or petite and prego..lol. Well, until next week, I hope everyone is feeling good and this week goes by fast!

32 Weeks Pregnant!!!

What a difference from 30 weeks to 32 weeks! I have been making sure I take a good nap during the day and take it very easy when I am awake and I have never felt better! This is the most comfortable I have ever felt this pregnancy. Nothing hurts, my little man is moving around like crazy and it's getting closer and closer every day! It will be nice when I give birth and my hormones go back to normal. I have been very short tempered with my kids and my husband. I am contemplating getting induced or going into labor naturally. Getting induced is so much harder than going into labor naturally. I have had both and would choose not to be induced over anything! The problem is I have my father who wants to be here and lives in NC, babysitting arrangements, etc. It sounds sad that I might be choosing my baby's birthday just to accomodate others! I guess I should just wait and let nature take its course. Things seem to always fall into place anyways.

34 Weeks Pregnant!!!

Here I am 34 weeks pregnant and feeling wonderful! I think it is because the little guy is still in breech position but I really don't have any complaints! I am sleeping better than I was a few weeks ago (other than the occasional bathroom break) and getting around fine. Watch, now that I post this, something will change..lol. We just finished his and room and it is adorable! We have everything ready ago including a surplus of diapers! Now for the little guy to arrive and use all of this stuff we bought for him! Well, here's to another good couple of weeks!

36Weeks Pregnant!!!

36 weeks has finally arrived! I am so ready to meet my little BREECHED man. Yes, he is still breech. I am set up for an external version (where they manually turn the baby from the outside) on Thursday, the 21st. Nervous doesn't even explain how I feel. I guess seeing all of the negativity on television about it has got me a bit scared; not for me but for him. I want him to be as stress free as possible and this procedure is quite stressful on babies. I have gone to the chiropractor who has helped tremendously and it is also suppose to help with opening the baby's space. I have also taken pulsatilla, a homeopathic remedy for turning the baby, and have propped my whole body up on the couch with my head on the ground!!! Yes, I have tried everything! That is what I am dealing with at the moment. My little man moves all of the time and is so far very healthy. I had an ultrasound done a few days ago and he was in there, sunny side up sucking his thumb! It was so incredibly cute! I am ready for him to make his entrance into the world. I even have the changing table setup in my room with everything on it! The wipes are even sitting right next to the wipe warmer waiting to be put in it! Needless to say, I have done this before x's two :). Well, until week 38, hope everyone has an incredible last few weeks. Next thing you know, we'll be crying because there isn't anything inside our bellies anymore..lol. ~Love and Happiness to all

No Longer Breech!!!

We went to the doctor yesterday to see if the baby was still breech. We had an external version set up for 6am the following morning and I didn't want to make childcare arrangements and get up at 4am, just to get there and them tell us he turned. So they squeezed me in and he is officially head down. How exciting is that. I don't know if it was everything I tried or on his own but I am ecstatic!! Now lets hope he stays that way! Now the waiting really begins. Only a few more weeks~

38 Weeks Pregnant!

Only a couple of days away to being 38 weeks pregnant! I can't believe I have made it this far! It seemed so far away not too long ago and here I am! I LOST MY MUCUS PLUG TODAY! Which means labor is upon me any day now. I can feel the baby when I am in the shower and he feels a little higher than usual. I am getting BH a lot more today which are coming on by themselves (vs. the baby or me causing them). I wonder if I am going to make it to 40 weeks!!!

39 Weeks Pregnant!

I guess I am going to make it to my due date. Last Thursday I was cleaning and doing odds and ends around the house. Next thing I knew, went into labor. Contractions were 2 minutes apart and they weren't anything like BH! So I called my husband who was headed to a recitle with my son and told him he needed to come home. We were all running around like chickens with my our heads cut off, packing bags, finishing up the dishes and called my duaghters' Dad to come pick up the kids to watch them. Next thing we knew, we were headed to the hospital. We get there, get on the bed and all hooked up and wouldn't you know, they stopped being consistent and the intensity slowed way down. I was pissed to say the least. Here I was inconveniencing everyone for nothing! So, I unhooked myself and just left for home. Now I am one day away from week 39 (5 days after having false labor) and not feeling a thing. The baby is moving around like crazy which is wonderful but there aren't any signs of labor. My oldest son came the day he was due so I am expecting this to be the same. Which means I have 8 days to go. The kids are so excited and so is my husband. I have mixed emotions. Scared about labor, knowing I am not going to have him inside of my belly anymore and also worried about the baby blues that accompany post partum. All of the emotions have me spinning, so for right now, I am taking it one day at a time, enjoying my naps and enjoying feeling him inside of me. Maybe next week, I'll have a birth story to post :) Labor dust to us all~

Oh I am so happy for you that you got signed up for the online courses. Thats such an excellent way to getg an educatrion with chillens at home! i AM SITTING HERE WITH eRIN IN MY ARMS SO FORGIVE MY TYPING ERRORS. I know how it is so hard to see your babies grow up...graduation from kindergartedn then 6th grade then 8th and wham the big high school graduation! Oh well we can't stop them from growing up on us! I just read about the rice in the bottle as a way to handle acid reflux. I will probally start a bit of rice at night in a few more weeks. I usally always startedxc that at 3 months. CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW BIG THEY ARE GETTING! wHAHH THAY ARE GROWING UP! Whahh...I used to take a bottle of hot water up to bed with me, measure the formula in another bottle then I would pour water into it when it was feeding time. My 1st quit nursing just the same at 3 months. I wasn't fast enough after getting bottles of formula during a move. Anyways try that out and see if that works for you. I hope you are having fun with your children this week doing things the way you want! talk soon...

Ahhh sweety it makes me smile to know how much you love your hubby! THAT IS SO NICE TO HEAR IN A WORLD WITH SO MANY COUPLES THAT DON'T REALLY LIKE EACH OTHER. I love my man so much as well. That doesn't mean I like every single thing about him. I think (no I know)hes way to rough on the kids and I hate his sarcasm and lecturing the kids...but I do love him.

Erin is smiling a few times a day but she must just be a serious child. She still cries quite a bit. I fianlly just got her back to sleep just now. I feel like either shes attached to me all day sometimes crying or crying almost all the time if she is laying on her own. She doesn't keep entertained for long at all. :( I know in time that will change so I am just gonna have to be patient.

Its back to sprinkling and cool weather. Its suppose to be back to 70 by Saturday. I like weather right around 80 where you can go outside and enjoy it and not be overly boiling hot.

I was on at midnight last night...hubby was playing ps2 in the bedroom so I just sat on the computer reading late. Erin is a late night girl...because she falls asleep on me nursing...and I get to bed somewhere around 11 everynight. She was not going for the bassinet last night. She ended up sleeping on my chest for the night then next to me for a few hours. Wasn't gonna go in that bassinet...I am a little tired but I did sleep til 10am. So I think she got her sleep and I got in maybe 7-8 hours.

Well I hope you are holding up on your own...lots of love your way hunny!

startingoverat37 - Tuesday, 20 May
How has it been so far being alone? I hope you are holding up! You are getting really lucky with the sleeping. Erin does not go down at 9:30! She gets to sleep around 11:30 and wakes about 3:30, then 6 then 8. She gets the 4 hour stretch usally everynight just once. I hope you are welll today. Its back to sprinkling and 60's again today. Oh well. I have4 my flip flops on, shorts, tank top and a hoodie regardless. So are you still nursing some? Dam my milk just letdown...that feeling is so intense! Have a super eveing.

Dr said he was fine but i think he might have a little colic. :( With your 1st you do alot of analizing!!! lolololololol hows things with your little one? Good i hope. Have you lost all your weight yet? I still need to loose about 18 lbs. Hey im big and sexy!!!lol just call me hefty heartbreaker! lol I tried to get alittle from the hubby but it was really weird, kinda hurt still. DAMN!!! iM GOING CRAZY ITS BEEN 700 YEARS!!!! Well, let me know how things are going and Happy mopthers day to you too!! thanks

startingoverat37 - Sunday, 18 May
Jessica I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday. We had 98 degree weather today! You have to understand it has been 40's and 50's til 2 days ago when it went to high 60's. Yesterday 70's and today WHAM 98! I was so happy I was in the best mood. I mowed the backyard, cleaned off the deck, scrubbed down the bbq, Scrubbed the patio table from a season of rain, nade a large bowl of potato salad and prepared ribs for a bbq...it was such an answer to prayer! I have been so depressed this year with the weather. I spent the entire summer in bed sick last year. By the time I got out of bed it was winter. So I really have not had a summer in 2 years. I AM SO HAPPY! It will cool down on Monday but i don't care I got a few days! YEAH!
I have been so preoccupied with life as a mom, I lose track of time sometimes. I was just thinking I have not heard from you myself...and it was me that dropped the ball and did not write you back. Sorry!

Wow I am jealious you got to go to the beach! NICE! I have been missing California beaches with sand. Our beaches here are filled with rocks...not fun to walk on bare foot.
Talk to you soon!

Gosh you are lucky, that you got to sleep in. Me and my SO said that on the weekend we each get a day to sleep in like he sleeps in on a saturday and i look after isabella and then i get sunday, funny though when sunday came he said he was too tired to look after her. Nice hey...lets just say i wasnt happy with him for awhile. Isabella is doing well she is smiling all the time now and it really makes the tiredness worth it. How about your little one?

startingoverat37 - Wednesday, 14 May
I am going to print off the page as well. I think it is a pretty cool journal of our time. Well the gas back and forth is killing me as well. Why are the kids a 1/2 hour to school? Isn't there a bus? Are they in private school? So you aren't near the base...so you are not in a community that is really military then. My neighbors (2 couples) behind me are both Navy as well. They are 30-45 minutes from the base as well. They prefer not to be in Oak Harbor as it is so over run with military life. More of a normal life here. But that makes it tough to run to the comissary or exchange with it so far away.

I have a lot on my plate! I do hope the kids appreciate it some day as well. Today is my 38th birthday! I have decided not to expect anything different then any other day as I know the fighting will happen, the struggles to get the work will happen, I will still have to cook dinner and be a parent. Neal is working til 10 as well. Christina (16 yr old) came home sick from school. She gave me a present she made me. It was a beautiful pillow she sewed for me. Very nice. Well I need to go get some housework done so I will chat soon...have a great day!

startingoverat37 - Tuesday, 13 May
How are you doing little momma? I have been do busy taking care of Erin and Mothers Day etc...I have not been on much the past several days. How is everything?

You asked about my son. Hes a high functioning autistic child. That has no manners, says rude and inappropriate things and is seeking attention anyway he can get it currently. He claims to love Erin and want the best for her but he screams and yells and throws huge tantrums around her. He is more high needs then she is at times. So I am struggling with him.

Erin is sleeping in the bassinet next to me. I borrowed a second one. I thought well if she sleeps well upstairs then what can I do to get her to sleep down here?! So I had to figure it out. I rolled two blankets up on each side of her to make her feel really secure. She is not as sound of a sleeper in this bassinet but she is in it. She wakes up cries for 10 seconds then falls back to sleep every so often.

I was looking over at the words NO LONGER BREECH!!! How weird that just seemed like a lifetime ago when we were going through that. Has time flown for you now?

Well I should do some house work while I have this critter down for the moment. Talk soon hope you are having a great day.

my son is 11 weeks and looks like he is teething. He is drooling and sucks on my clothes when he is laying on me.

Oh yeah and Happy Belated Mothers Day !!!!! I had the flu so hopefully I'll get a do-over lol

srm31 - Monday, 12 May
so I read your post on someone elses page on how you got baby to sleep. Did you do that for naps too? How many times and how long did it take to work? Night times o.k but naps arent happening here unless Im holding her. I tried for an hous this morning then gave up thinking maybe she wasnt tired anymore and then she slept in my arms for an hour. Shes 8 weeks old. Is your baby on a napping schedule?

leahsmom - Monday, 12 May
I'm not sure if they teethe this early. My boys were late teethers- 9 and 11 months. So I assumed she would be too. But, there are babies who get their teeth at 3 months and they say they can teethe for weeks before, so maybe??

leahsmom - Monday, 12 May
Leah bubbles like that too! She started a few weeks ago. Weird thing is, she only does it when she is upright in her car seat. When we go anywhere, people always comment on her blowing bubbles. When I wipe away the big bubbles it looks foamy underneath. I just assumed she is drooling and breathing through her mouth at the same time?? It doesn't seem to bother her though, so I'm not too worried.

2xmom - Monday, 12 May
Happy Belated Mother's Day! That was nice of you to send the greeting. I hope you and your family are doing well! I had a nice Mother's Day, but we did a lot of running around! It was a nice day though. Take care.

Hey there , i just wanted to wish you a happy mothers day too. did you have a good day? Mine was quiet.

Happy Mother's Day Hun!
I hope your day was fantastic!!!

My mom took Wyatt over night last night, so I had my first full six hours sleep in 7 weeks!!! Woo Hoo! But, I dreamed about him all night. Then, we picked him up this morning and went out for breakfast. Then my hubby surprised me with a day at the spa this week... I can't wait! (He went extravagant because he knows father's day is around the corner and he wants a PS3... his parents refused to get it for him for his birthday because they said 30 is too old for video games... ha ha!)
What was your day like???
How is Sebastian doing?

KateS - Sunday, 11 May
Hey! Happy moms day to you too! I think my little guy hates his basinette because he cant look around. He loves the playpen on the other hand because the sides are mesh. He sleeps in there no problem...
