Aww.. thanks. We tossed on if we were going to give him the entire name of his dad (which we are) or if we were going to make the 'J' name into something his own. But it is VERY difficult to give a follow up to his dad's first name. It is soo unique, so I thank his mom for doing a good job. :)
I am sure seeing her name pass on makes his entire side proud.

Not yet. Just knowing the sex of the baby was a huge step for me. I'm in no rush to pick a name yet. How about you?

Thank you! Things are going... lol Still don't know anything yet; last week's doctor's appointment was a BFN, but they didn't check my blood. My gyno wants me to come in tomorrow but I will be out of town! :( Maybe over the weekend something wiill show up, but I am tired of taking those preggo tests; I'll just chill for a while and enjoy my little vacation! :) How are you feeling these days? I hope I hit it off with the new one too... I am debating on if I should make alternate appointments to just screen other doctor offices and meet the doctors. I've got a lot of other things going on that are far more important then a silly doctor right now (thankfully, they have NOTHING to do with the baby), but they are still important issues none-the-less... so I am putting my worring about a doctor on the back burner for now.
We always had a boys name picked out... he will be named after his father... but the middle name is what we will call him which is Jerrod.
I cannot wait to hold him...

Yes, I know every child is different... which is the cool thing if you do get a chance to see the video, because he uses the technique on several different children all with the same result. Of course, it takes practice, but it is actually worth the time to view.
He reminds me of the dog whisperer for children!
I wish I would have known this when I was working as a nanny... it couldn't hurt! :)

Did you ever watch the movie "The Happiest Baby on the Block" ? I watched it last night, and it is really good. Teaches you about how to help stop a baby from crying, making him feel comfortable and how to get a longer sleep...
I of course need to watch it again, just to grasp the technique.. but it was really good! :)
It is short too.. only 40 min.
I know your an ol' pro now... but it still could teach you something if you haven't seen it!

You are so right about that! My hubby is such a momma's boy and he does WHATEVER he can for his mom. I enjoy the idea of being his (my son's) first love... and always love. Just like I am sure you see it with your daughter(s). I myself have been a daddy's girl... there is just something about that bond...

That is so funny... he thought it and it happened. I am glad that I do not control what the sex is... too much dang pressure on me to get it right.. but I secretly hoped for a girl, planned the entire first few years of her non-existant life. And we even called the room we have to prepare, her room... LOL.
But a boy will do jussst fine! :)

Yeah, I think my husband will chill a LOT with our next one...he has his moments now, but as time moves on and he sees I am still in one piece, my stomach is in tact, and the baby is ok... he calms down.
It has definately been a journey, thats for sure.
I am glad the first one is a boy... because I know my husband, and even though he says otherwise, he would have kept trying until I couldn't anymore for a boy. :) So this one, is out of the way, and he will not be on my case! LOL.

Wow I just realized you guys are a girl factory over there!! Are you going to stop after this one or do you think you will try for a boy? My DH says he didnt care either way, but deep down I know he is just thrilled it is a little boy. All I hear about now is the stuff they will do together. The baby can't even walk yet...
Yeah, it feels like I am making a little alien sometimes too. It just boggles my mind how it all develops to human life. So I am sure I will bug out when I do feel the hard jabs, and my DH will too.. but I can so see him tearing up. He has been just more then excited (sometimes to dang excited) for the entire pregnancy. And I swear, if someone bumps into me, God help them... because he is super protective of my stomach too. And I thought the worse I had to deal with were over protective dogs. Feels like I am telling everyone to 'heel' these days.
Does your hubby act as if you are a klutz too? Heaven forbid if I trip, because it happens... but everyone wants to put me in a wheelchair after that! LOL!!!

Well then I've felt him move, just not the hard jabs or punches yet. I have mentioned the popcorn feeling to my DH and said somethings I feel like my stomach is moving but it isn't gas. LOL.
My stomach is a little smaller then average, so my uterus is above the belly botton and I feel the baby anywhere in that region, around my belly button to below it... just depends.
I swear he plays possum though, because everytime I've seen him he is still.. with a little movement here and there. Just a relaxed baby... like he is counting down the day until he breaks free. My puppy was like that when I got her 7 years ago, very calm, just sat in your arms. I brought her home and she has been hell on wheels ever since. I have a feeling the baby will follow suit.

Felt any movement yet? I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me or not, but I think I feel movements, then when I put my hand down there it stops. Nothing big yet... but I am not worried, I know it will happen soon enough.
I am so stoked that it is the 1/2 way mark... I started to panic a little this weekend and stress about what I need to get done and what isn't finished.

I go back to my regular doctor on the 14th so I look forward to that. Are you making a baby plan for the hospital? I keep reading about these and wonder if it is needed or not...
