Today is my first day in week 19. So far I have felt the baby move a few times and one pretty strong kick last night when Kevin tried to lay on my belly. My body has been sore the last couple days but it is getting better. I have my first ultrasound on March 19th and will find out out what I `m having. I can `t wait! I have a weird dreams almost every night but I guess that `s normal. All in all...I am happy being pregnant and am having a pretty easy pregnancy so far.

Tuesday, May 27,2008

Well, I am 31 weeks now and we are having a girl. We have decided on the name Angela but are still playing around with the middle name. We are leaning towards Angela Rose. Angie kicks a lot. Kevin goes to work really early in the morning and I used to be able to go back to sleep. Now Angie kicks shortly after he leaves every single day. Maybe she just misses him. Besides that, trying to get comfortable enough to sleep is hard and once I do it seems like I don't sleep long before I'm waking up to use the bathroom. I have had some braxton hicks contractions but I don't notice them usually unless I have my hand on my belly. I have had a pretty easy pregnancy so for. No complications. Just backaches, pain in my legs sometimes and trouble getting out of bed. It is all worth it though. I just hope that it continues to be easy going and my baby stays healthy. I have only gained 14 pounds but it sure feels like more. I can't wait until she is born. I hope she is born on her due date because it would be the best birthday present to Kevin.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I would not go for the induction. Someone else can deliver your baby if there are others in the practice. That's ridiculous. If you are induced when your body isn't ready, labor will be long and contractions will be hard. I see you are planning a natural birth, so definelty don't give in to induction.

cosmomama - Tuesday, 22 July
yikes! All I know about induction is that they say it should only be done if it is medically NECCESSARY and it will cause more intense labor contractions so pain management is reccommended. I hardly think your doctor going on vacation is any reason to induce you before your due date. Another physician, in my opinion, should definitely be on the job. I am insured with a huge medical company (Kaiser) so my OBGYN isn't even going to be the one to deliver my baby unless she happens to be on call at the hospital that day. And she would NEVER suggest me getting induced before my due date just so she can be the one to deliver. I think you need to ask for another dr. to be on call. As for the non FDA regulated medication that she wants to use, I don't get that. Why do that when there are many other medically credable ways to induce labor? If you have no medical reason to get induced and you are not comfortable with the way your dr. wants to do it, you should really say something politely. It's your body, baby and labor. I know she's the Dr and wouldn't hurt you, but you still have to be ok with it. Thats my advice, for whatever it's worth! I hope it works out for you!! good luck!

Hi Where is your placenta? Doctor told me that i don't feel my baby on the outside as much as last time because my placenta is at the front. So instead of kicking me he's kicking that. But if you are really worried speak to your doctor

zoef - Tuesday, 8 April
Hi just saw your comment about baby moving - my midwife said that there was no way i shoud feel my baby move until at least 22 weeks but i could feel movement from 17 weeks. My husband can now feel her although i find it hard to feel on the outside because it is so much stronger inside although she has progressed to bigger kicks in the last 2 days. Try not to worry as long as you can feel your baby moving about on the inside that should reassure you mine could just be in a different position. Congratulations and I hope everything is going well....take care x

Hi there - your comment about the baby not moving for a couple days....don't worry. My dr said it is only after 24 weeks that you should be feeling movement every day. Hope this helps!
