01/21/08 First Doctors Visit 5 Weeks Prego
Today we had our first doctors visit. The doctor confirmed that we are 5 weeks pregnant and we are ever so excited! We were congratulated given our vitamins and off we were to shout the news to all our loved ones. We are still a bit frightened knowing that the first trimester is most crucial but GOD willing all will go well and our precious angel will continue to grow! We are not due for our first ultrasound until the 11th of February at 8 weeks!
01/31/08 Thank You GOD For Blessing Us With Our Little Angel
Well today I woke up really happy! With sore breasts and all..lol..yeah Im enjoying that cause I get a serene feeling that my baby is growing. I am really eager to see my first sonogram..I don't get my first sono until the 11th of February 1 1/2 weeks from today..uggh! I am 6 weeks 3 days and when I go in for my sono I will be 8 weeks. Can't imagine why they are making me wait so long but I am certain it will be well worth the wait. Anyhow mommy's you all take care and GOD bless your baby bumps!
02/01/08 We Purchased A Fetal Heart Doppler 
I am really excited my husband won a bid for a fetal heart doppler on e-bay today and we should be getting it by next Friday at the latest putting me at 7 weeks 5 days. I am really eager to use it and let my loved ones enjoy our little peanut butters heart beat.
I'd like to say thanks to Nickee cause I am certain that $68.00 is worth hearing your little angels thump da dump..lol! As soon as I get it I will update you all..
02/04/08 A Horrific Yet Wonderful Day All In One
Well today started off really bad...I wound up in the hospital for an anxiety attack due to stress and overload from work. It was a really scary experience and I thought I would faint and never come to. Fortunatelty I was okay and the Dr. recommended that I get plenty of rest and time away from work. The best part of this situation is that since I am prego they preformed and ultrasound and yes my friends there it was my little peanut butter's heart beat! It was such a beautiful sound strong and thumping away...I am glad to know that my little angel is growing fine...now my duty is to protect myself and my unborn child. Thank GOD for this beautiful blessing and I am forever grateful.
02/06/08 Big Sister & Daddy Love
Well I am really amazed at how loving and attentive both my little girl and husband have been. Thye are both more than understanding with my fatigueness and are giving me great support! My little girl is an angel..anything from singing to her baby to reading books and kissing my belly just to make our baby feel special and my husband basically running the house with chores, cooking and rubbing my back. I love them both to death and am completely blessed to have such a supportive family that involves themselves in our pregnancy. My little troppers is what I call my loving husband and gorgeous daughter...I LOVE YOU 2 to pieces!
02/11/08 We Heard And Saw Our Little Angel
Today starteed off as an amazing day! We had a doctors appointment for a sonogram and within seconds of our sonogram scan there our little angel was. Head, stomach, legs, arms and a thumping heart beat at a rate 171 bpm. The emotion and sharing this moment with my husband and daughter was more than overwhelming and a complete blessing. I am more than grateful and thank GOD from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful blessing!
02/17/08 Emergency Admitance
At approxiamtely 11:05 pm I went to the bathroom due to a sensation to urniate...then there it was bright red blood dripping in to the toilet! I was completely horrified and immediately my husband rushed me to the er. We were there until 6:30 am and by the grace of GOD the ultrasound showed our little angels heart beat thumping away, no tear in the placenta and an amniotic sac fully in tact. So it turns out that my husband may have hurt me when we had relations. The most horrifying situation I must say. I was released home and put on strick bed rest so hopefully all will go well and no hanky panky for me! Has anyone else ever experienced bleeding after intercourse?
02/19/08 Follow Up With Our Doctor
By the grace of GOD our baby is doing great! Apparently I am bleeding because of the vein that popped in my vagina...scary yes but gratefully my baby is doing great!
02/24/08 My Heart & Prayers Go Out To You
I just logged in today and am really sad to hear that 2 young women I met here have lost their little angels. My heart is broken to know that you and your families are enduring this pain and hurtful situation. I want you to know that I am praying for you both. I have faith in GOD that you both will soon have the little angels you so much hoped for. GOD is great and although we many times can not understand why things happen know that GOD is with us through all that we must endure in these journeys of our lives. I will keep you both and others who are going through this difficult situation in my prayers.
02/26/08 Another Dr. Visit Another Scare
Again I went into my doctors office for bleeding and again thank GOD our baby is safe. I am so happy our baby was moving around constantly and the babys heart beat was throbbing away! Here is another picture of our angel!
03/01/08 We Got Our Fetal Heart Doppler Radar
Our fetal doppler radar took forever to arrive but we finally got it! We are so happy and are able to hear our baby's heart beat whenever we want..it is amazing! I've been listening to it every morning when I wake and every night before I go to bed.
We Are Having A Baby Girl (Alyssa Danielle)
Yes it's true our baby is a little girl our beautiful baby girl! She kicks and moves constantly and truly makes her presence known. I love her to pieces already and am so glad we are having a little princess!

We've ordered all the items as pictured here and are just waiting for everything to come in and up Alyssa's Nursery will go! I am so excited and enjoying every minute of preparing for our little blessing.

Aww, thank you!! I think pregnancy makes all women that much more attractive because it is so empowering and something that I think is both a gift and a blessing!! How is your nursery coming along? Did you have a shower yet?! My sister is throwing mine next weekend... I am very excited because this was a day that was so far off, and now it is almost here... I am running out of milestones to count down to, and soon enough, he will be here!

Everyone seems to stress about their weight gain, I am up 29lbs from my last weigh in last week... I am sure that will change when I go back again this month. Like you, I refuse to worry... it will come off when the baby comes, I will be back to a more normal me and I am fine with that. I try not to focus on where I can tell I've gained weight, stay out of stores with really cute outfits since I don't know my size anymore and just try to relax... telling myself, we have 10 wks to go.

I know how you feel, I lost my grandma about 2yrs back aswell. She had always wanted to see me get married and have kids and it kills me that she missed my wedding (last yr) and now this. I miss her terribly and if I have a girl I want her to have my Grandma's name "Sitara" (which literally means Star) as her middle name!

Im up 27 lbs! So I feel for ya. Its kinda scary, I just hope to be able to slow it down. I'd be happy at this point if I can keep the weight gain in the 30's.

We are doing great, but yes my body also feels the extra weight 29 pounds so far I cant believe it. My lower back is killing me and it is so hard to move around now. I am also working until the last minute. I want to have as much time with Gracie as possible so I am not going to take my maternity leave until she gets here. I am so glad to hear Alyssa is doing good.

I get those same menstruel cramps, but I'm pretty sure it's just our uterus' growing. I had a lot of them last week and none this week. If there's blood I would def call the doc

I have also had period-like cramps and my midwife said that the entire time she was pregnant she felt like she was going to start her period at any moment. Good luck! I am sure you are fine but if it makes you feel better, call the doc.

Iam so inspired by your page Nessie! My name is Niecy!! Very similar names. You seem to be a caring and God-fearing woman like myself and I love to hear that pour out on your page! Well I'm glad you found out what it was. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what has been going on with me too. Sometimes I feel so tired, and for no reason at all; I'll feel weak too as if I'm coming down with the flu but then I don't get sick. The past day or so I've been fine... it comes and goes. What kind of iron supplement are you taking if you don't mind my asking? Someone else told me she's taking liquid iron from the health food store that her doctor recommended. I go into see my doctor soon so I guess I can just find out then. It seems that lots of people from our week are feeling the same way. I read that the low iron is from the blood volume increasing so much.
Things are going well for me and my little boy as far as I know. He's moving a great deal right now as I'm typing. I just LOVE to feel him move and kick!!! I can't wait to finally get to meet him, hold him and kiss him! I've ordered the nursery bedding and am now just waiting for it to arrive. We're going out to buy the crib most likely this weekend. I can't wait to get the nursery decor going. This is the most exciting thing I've ever experienced and the biggest blessing second only to God bringing my husband into my life.
I pray too that you will have a healthy baby and pregnancy and that this second child will bring you and your husband many blessings. Keep in touch.

good luck! im sure everything is fine, but it is always better to get checked out. I kept telling the nurses that i didnt want to be one of those paranoid pregnant women. (i felt the same way, like i was having a panic attack. i couldnt breathe, i was sick to my stomach, dizzy...) they kept telling me to stop being rediculous. let me know what happens!

Hi! Just read your message on the forum. I have trouble breathing from time to time too. I was at a college graduation this past weekend and it happened and I almost had a panic attack right there in this big university's auditorium... it was so scary!!! I just do a lot of self talk to try and calm down. I think it can become psychological so if you can just try and slow your breathing, I think you'll be okay. Also, when your breathing slows, drink some ice water. Sometime my increased breathing is correlated with my getting a little over heated. Best of everything to you!

hi there. just wanted to know your not alone with the having trouble breathing thing. when it happens to me...i tell myself i will be okay...and then my anxiety kicks in and i think im dying...so its like a lose lose situation. lol i think i just need to calm my nerves. you have any advice to make it not so scary???
