So this is my husband's and my first child; we're SO excited! It wasn't planned, but it was a fantastic surprise! I stopped using BC pills in September, and we tried the "natural" method of BC. Yeah, that didn't work, LOL! I recently graduated with my BS in Elementary Education, so this couldn't have come at a better time, honestly. So far, I LOVE being pregnant; I guess you could consider me one of the lucky ones (no morning sickness)! It has been such a great experience so far. I cannot WAIT to meet this little miracle! Best of luck to you, ladies! WE'RE having a BABY!!!

Oh girl, I have such a hard time remebering things, that I literally will put a drink down and then have to search all over the house for where I think I put it last! It is that bad!! I did make an appt to interview, but because they are short and quick, they dont have a problem making them. It gives you a chance to ask them any questions and they will tell you what happens once you get through with labor as they will come visit you in the hospital and see the baby. They are usually understanding that you are a new mom and are gonna have concerns and questions... and honestly, the way I found out (becuase I asked my OB nurse the same thing... "How the heck do I know a pediatrician?!") They told me to ask friends and to interview!! LOL. I was like, "that is GENIUS!!"

The best advice is to talk to your OB/GYN and ask them if there is someone they recommend. Also, I asked friends who still had kids who they took their kids too and then narrowed down the results. I actually met with the pediatrician already and felt really comfortable with him. His office laughed at me when I wanted to come in so far in advance, but I told them, "I am interviewing him... I have not selected him yet".. and they understood. Actually, he applauded me!

Yeah my pup (Elliott) is my life too. Have you noticed your dog acting a little differently now that you're pregnant? Elliott doesn't listen as well now, but I think he will be wonderful with the baby. Sex keeps me awake too and my hubby sleeps like a baby after.

just a couple of suggestions for your sleep problem. I use a small pillow between my legs (maybe yours is too big?) I have the same wicked annoying heart problem, mine races as well, so I have to put my head on my husbands chest so I can hear his heart and believe it or not, it really works. His slower less annoying heart beat relaxes me. That is the one symptom of pregnancy I didn't expect. Sex might help you sleep too. Good luck Oh, I've heard trying to sleep slightly elevated helps with heart burn.

I can empathize with you. My doctor gave me the "ok" to take Zantac 75 up to 2 times/day and that has helped TONS. Tums just weren't cutting it for me. My doctor is my age and just had her first baby. She had awful heartburn too and not only took Zantac but eventually had to go on a prescription antacid. The fact that she took it herself made me feel very comfortable with taking. I have also had back pain that has kept me up - wierd since my back does not hurt during the day at all. I bought a body pillow which helped initially but it seems to have lost its magic. Sleeping on my sides makes my back hurt the most so I have just started sleeping on my back when I need to. I end up switching positions a million times during the night. Finally, I get up to pee about once an hour which again is wierd since I don't have to go that frequently during the day. Anyhow, I agree, it is tough. I slept so well during the first trimester and now going to bed is almost something I dread. Hang in there...it bites but you will make it through.

I think pregnancy goes in stages. Some times you feel great and sometimes it sucks. I know I have had a bad couple days with a bad back and side ache. I hope it goes away before tomorrow when I have a 4 hr car trip. I think next week will feel better.

Of course I remember Cookie Puss! I think my brother got Cookie Puss, but I've always been a Fudgie gal myself. Here's hoping they continue to make those cakes by the time my kid has a birthday where he can really enjoy and ice cream cake. Maybe that's what I should name this kid, Fudgie!
