Jo-Mama - Friday, 8 Feb
I'm sending my good vibes to your cousin and her family and to Jaxon. Take care.

Hi. I'm doing pretty well other than the basic complaints that I'm sure we all have. How about you? A non stress test monitors the baby's heartrate (and therefore stress) in the uterus particurally when s/he is moving. They do this with a basic fetal monitor and also combine it with a brief ultrasound which checks fluid levels around the baby as low levels also can cause stress on the baby. I had a couple my last pregnancy due to pre-eclampsia, but this time around they have me getting them weekly as of 32 weeks.

Hello, well I'm glad to hear that the delivery went safe, and he is ok. I will keep him in my prayers. I was wondering if the mother had that triple screen test between 16-20 weeks ?

lil-ole-me - Tuesday, 5 Feb
Well, the first hypnobirth class was okay... I hope that the introduction was just a little slower than the rest of it will be. I definately buy into the concept, especially since I know that I tend to get scared of pain and panic - and I believe that the subconscious mind can have great effects on us. But, we didn't learn all that much. We couldn't make the dvd work, so we missed the movies, which was okay with my husband. He is adamant that he doesn't want to watch another birth video. :) I don't think that he buys into the need for this at all. He seems to think that everything is going to be fine, and that I will want the epidural anyways, so that all of this is a waste of money. He keeps saying that he is 'trying to be a good husband'. I've about given up trying to make him understand. Anyways, I'm hoping that as we get into breathing techniques and all of that, it will start clicking. Is your class with a group? We are the only couple - she comes to our house to teach.

I am glad you're okay. I was worried about you last night. What is round ligament pain? That's a new one to me.

mommyinthesky - Tuesday, 5 Feb
Hi, Thanks for the reply. Well, I guess it's good that the doctor was not concerned. I'll probably get the same response on Friday because things always seem to be fine on appointment day, just not inbetween. But I've had the round ligament pain already and yes, this pain just hurt so much more and the whole not being able to walk thing, but it was just as you were describing, so I know it was the same thing. So I guess these BH contractions and round ligament pain that aren't supposed to hurt really do!

rachele - Monday, 4 Feb
I'm sorry it has taken me so long. You may have already gone to the doctor, but yes it was not painful as long as I did not move an inch. If I tensed or tried to get up is when it hurt really bad. I hope you find out soon. let me know how you are doing.

mommyinthesky - Monday, 4 Feb
Yes, I had the same thing yesterday afternoon and most of the evening. The pain was so bad I could barely walk. I've been having crampy/contractions for a few days on and off, but then the pain that seemed like where my ovary was and then down my leg so that I couldn't walk was different. Please tell me what happens at your doctor appointment. I have mine on Friday. I called the doctor though. They told me to continue to rest.

rachele - Monday, 4 Feb
I had this, but mine came when I was 3 weeks pregnant (this is how i found out I was pregnant). It turned out to be a cyst on my ovary that ruptured. It was excruciatingly painful. Good thing you are going to see your doctor. By the time my husband convinced me to go to the hospital I had massive internal bleeding. I hope this doesn't scare you, but don't ignore your body if it tells you something is wrong.

Sky - Monday, 4 Feb
I would call and consult with your doctor... he/she may want you to come in earlier...

lisar - Monday, 4 Feb
The muscular feeling you described when getting up sounds like ligament pain. The other stuff however with the radiating pain in your stomach sounds like contractions. If they are not gaining in intensity and coming closer together however, the are probably just false labor/Braxton Hicks. When I get BH I have pain on one side of my stomach. I asked the Dr. about that and she said that can be normal-that all women experience them differently. I would definitely ask the Dr about it today, but as long as they aren't getting worse you're probably ok for now. I was told if they continue for two hours and if I'm are getting them closer together (time them) then I'd need to go in. Good Luck! Lisa

Wow March 7th. Thats great. Your almost there. I have a c-section scheduled on March 28th. I can't wait. Well, take care. :)

gonzjan - Friday, 1 Feb
Hi,
Thanks for the nice comment you wrote about the baby's bedroom. How's your pregnancy going? Take care.
: )

lil-ole-me - Thursday, 31 Jan
Hi! So did you have your first hypnobirthing class? Our instructor came down with a stomach flu, so she cancelled until this coming Monday. I did get the book and CD in the mail last night. I've read through the intro, but I don't want to read too far ahead! I'm so anxious... Wonder how your first class went? How is your fella doing through it? My hubby is wonderful, but I worry about whether or not he is going to take this seriously or not. He seems to think that it is overkill...

BabyH - Tuesday, 29 Jan
Did your cold go away? Unfortunately I came down with a cold last week and it's a pretty nasty one. I'm not sure any amount of garlic could snap this one in the butt soon enough- I guess I should have started the garlic a little bit sooner. I think it's hard to even know they are coming sometimes. Hope you are doing well.

2ndBaby - Tuesday, 29 Jan
No, not me personally but i have seen someone have one and that is what they described...being this pregnant I feel myself at night sometimes getting that feeling that I cant breathe right and feelinig very anxious but I calm myself down as best as I can...sometimes I have to get up and walk around for a bit to calm myself back down...I can see myself having a panic attack though if I didnt fight it so hard...i suggest you talk to your doctor next time you see him or call him to ask him though...I would hate to give someone bad advise especially when they are pregnant. Good luck, let me know what your doctor says...

BabyDane - Monday, 28 Jan
Hey there newbaby1, I have been experiencing the same thing for about a week now. From week 29 until week 31 now I noticed a change in my belly. I will be taking a new picture later on as I always do every 2 weeks. My belly is rock hard now and after I eat especially I find it hard to breath. I try to take deep cleansing breaths. When I got into bed lastnight anda couple of times before I was out of breath. This is what I did to relieve some pressure. I stood up and stretched my arms as high as I could along the wall and it did seem to help (a little) 9 more weeks honey you'll be OK ~Kim

candi1982 - Monday, 28 Jan
I have asthma, so i experience that quite often, till i use my inhaler. My asthma has actually gotten worse as the pregnancy has progressed due to her pushing on my lungs. But if anything, talk with your dr about it.

alyssa2787 - Monday, 28 Jan
Hey. I go through the exact breathing thing you were explaining about 2 to 3 times a day. I know how scary it is. It sucks too. Its so bad you think there is no way it can be normal. Went to the Dr about it a couple of times and they said it was normal. I didnt believe them so I went to someone else who thought it could be blood clots - Did testing and there was nothing. So bottom line is, it is ok, even though it doesnt feel like it. Once the baby drops is when we will get relief... I just hope it doesnt happen as often for you as it does for me. Good Luck!

Jo-Mama - Monday, 28 Jan
Two nights ago I went through the same thing. I just lay there for ever and ever and could not fall asleep. I kept rolling over, trying to get comfortable, but it felt like baby was just pushing really hard on my ribs. I could barely breathe. I think next time I will get up and walk around - hopefully that'll move baby around. I was fine last night, but this morning bay is jammed back up there again. It's so uncomfortable. Someone gave me this tip when I complained about my sore ribs: put an icepack in the spot that baby seems to be camped out in, and maybe that will shoo baby away to a better spot. I haven't tried it yet, but it might work!

alyssa2787 - Monday, 28 Jan
thanks for the input

dmtheria - Wednesday, 23 Jan
HEy! Thanks for the feedback! That helps- I was just curious- I figured there was a good reason!

lil-ole-me - Wednesday, 23 Jan
Oh, I'm so glad to find someone else who'd doing hypnobirthing! Our first class is next Monday. The lady who teaches it just moved to town, and hasn't built up a clientele here yet, (although she had great references), so I'm disappointed not to have a group, but she is making house calls, so will come to the house to teach us. It is expensive, so I'm anxious to see how it goes. My mother is a lactation consultant and was a labor and delivery nurse for many years, and she said that it was the way to go. Please keep in touch, I'm anxious to have someone to talk with about it!

katiesmommy - Wednesday, 23 Jan
Aww..thanks! I love her to death!

BabyDane - Tuesday, 22 Jan
Yes I did I was getting really inside my head and worryingmyself to almost being crazy. It started on Saturday, Sunday and into Monday. I guess it all depends on the type of position the baby is in when it comes to fetal movements. Thnak you so much for asking about me! Kayla is fine and back into the head down position. Do you feel your baby a lot during the day?
