Monday, 25 Feb Hi, I am not getting the epidural this time. I have gotten it every other birth. HOWEVER, last time, I got it as soon as they broke my water (15 min later) and it was too late. I was fully dilated that quick! SO, the nurse and doctor informed me that the epidural wouldn't work, and trust me it didn't. LOL. I did just fine, my births are quick. I had my son within an hour of them breaking my water. This time though, I am more prepared to go natural, I have read Ina May Gaskin's book, (i think that is her name) and it has helped me to prepare. I will check on the name later. It is AMAZING how our bodies are made to do exactly this job! I FOR SURE AM NOT GETTING THE EPIDURAL. Do you know your induction date? Let me know!!

Friday, 22 Feb This is a general message to everyone who left a comment on my VIP page: I thought I would let you know that I have just posted a very detailed birth story on my VIP page. You can read it under 'olga83's children' in the top menu on my page. Good luck :) P.S. Thank you for your comment and congratulations :) I am sorry I cannot reply to everyone because with the new baby in the house I really have no time to log in long enough to reply to everyone :) Please let me know when you give birth by sending me private message. I would love to hear your story and see the pictures!!! ErinS1121 -
Friday, 22 Feb Phenergan sucks! Did you take it yet?? Ask your Dr. for Zofran. It works wonders. I took it all through out my 1st trimester bc i COULD not stop puking. It's a very hard drug to get bc lots of ins companies don't like to pay for it but keep bugging your Dr to call the ins company!! la -
Thursday, 21 Feb Thanks! Good luck to you JKs-Girl -
Wednesday, 20 Feb Thanks for the info hun! Yeah, since I got them 9 years ago, they have faded! Now I curious to see what will happen with them now! Congrats on your pregnancy! Next month is so close! Aly-Babynoy -
Wednesday, 20 Feb wow! so soon!! I know how our feeling overwhelmed anxious excitement!! Nope no date yet, I have an appointment next Tuesday to find out!!! yay!!! lisar -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I don't think you're overreating at all. I have a similar situation. I haven't gotten this from the doctor, but the nurse told me I'd probably be induced on March 25th, which would be the begining of my 39th week. I was under the impression from previous conversations that they wanted to do it at 38 weeks. Well, when I went to schedule my weekly office appointments, I find out from the receptionist that the Dr. is on vacation during my 38th week. So, I'm thinking the same thing as you, it seems like my medical condition is contingent on the Dr.'s personal life! lil-ole-me -
Tuesday, 19 Feb Glad to hear you are feeling good too! I hear you with the being tired... I had another hypnobirth session last night, and I fell dead asleep in one of our sessions... They had to call out my name a few times to get me to come to... :) I never did find out what was wrong with my foot. It comes and goes, some days it is just worse than others. My midwives said that as long as I wasn't getting headaches or dizzy, that it shouldn't be a big deal. I haven't seen them in 2 weeks though, I have an appointment next Monday, and I'm going to ask them to take a look at it. It gets worse when I wear socks, they cut off circulation in my calf... So I can only wear my Ugg boots, with no socks! lisar -
Tuesday, 19 Feb I know, I'm a real know-it-all aren't I:) I just am such a worrier, I've already asked every question and looked up every possible thing you could imagine! My first pregnancy I used to go into the OB office with a little notebook full of my questions for that week. I don't do that now, but still every time I go in & the Dr. sees me, she says, 'Oh no...' Anyway, I'm having a pretty good day, I went & bought my car seat & scheduled an appointment to have the inside of my car detailed tomorrow so it'll be nice & clean before I install it. I'd generally never pay to have my car cleaned, but I don't feel like waiting around for my husband & there's just no way I'm doing it myself! BethSilva -
Tuesday, 19 Feb lol.. I know he stole my heart again with this one. I fell even more in love with him after that. lol have a good day Aly-Babynoy -
Tuesday, 19 Feb hey! wishing you an excellent day mama to be!! lisar -
Tuesday, 19 Feb My sister just had a baby in November & she went into labor at 36 weeks 6days and hadn't yet had her strep B test. They had it scheuled for her next appt between 37 & 38 weeks. I guess all drs. are different. Anyway they just gave her the antibiotics during labor as if she was positive & said it wold do no harm even if she wasn't. lil-ole-me -
Monday, 18 Feb Oh - I hadn't looked at the stories online - I'll have to check that out! I'm really feeling pretty good today, thanks for asking! I'm feeling BIG and heavy and clumsy, but I got lots of rest over the weekend, and my foot doesn't seem as swollen as it has been over the last week. I'm just SO EXCITED! My nursery is pretty much ready, and I think I've got most everything that we need right off the bat, so I'm ready to go just any time! How about you? Are aches and pains getting the best of you, or are you feeling good? lisar -
Monday, 18 Feb Oh you're probably busy today looking at & setting up all your new baby gifts! I think your name choice is really cute! My mother hates the name we picked too. I vowed that this time I wasn't going to tell anyone our ideas until the baby was named, but my parents asked my 4 yr old son what we were thinking of. How's that for sneaky! I'm feeling ok I guess, just really uncomfortable abd ready for it to be over! lisar -
Monday, 18 Feb Just seeing how you're doing. I know you only have 3 weeks left! I'm going to try to push my dr. to schedule the date when I go next week so I know when to prepare for. lil-ole-me -
Friday, 15 Feb I'm just not really sure about the classes... I really do buy into the theory behind the whole thing. I am listening to my CD, and trying to teach myself to really relax at the sound of it. But I can't make myself read all of the little sheets she gives us... And I sometimes find myself dissolving in giggles when she works on the hypnotic suggestion. Maybe I'm just not a good student. I think that my husband will do fine when the time comes - he really wants to help me, but he is more skeptical about the process than I am. I really enjoy the book! I actually kind of wish that I had just bought it, and gone through it without the instructor. :) Oh well, I'm going to take the parts that I can absorb, and let the rest of it pass me by I guess... I have really mixed emotions, if you can't tell... :) Aly-Babynoy -
Thursday, 14 Feb There is not set date yet. All he told me was around 37 weeks, I think they are waiting to for lab results if needed to induce ever earlier. I will find out next appointment. blood clotting is awful plus the water rentenion. I already have my cankles! Ughhhh!!! Well happy valentines day!! I will you informed! =) Aly-Babynoy -
Wednesday, 13 Feb wow so we are on the same boat! urrhh It hurts, but I know everything will be good. I can only do the best I can to keep this pregnancy healthy. Are they doing NST for you every week to monitor the baby and your blood clotting? They should be, to keep tabs on the babies oxygen. Please keep in touch and let me know how things go. God Bless you! rachele -
Wednesday, 13 Feb I am so glad I'm not the only one freaking out about this rib pain. She has her foot constantly wedged on my rib so any time she moves it is really painful. I just freak out thinking I've got to deal with this for six more weeks. rachele -
Tuesday, 12 Feb I'm so sorry you're going through so much pain. I don't know what you are dealing with, but I will pray for you. And don't worry about labor, you know it's only temporary and you're moments away from holding your baby, so it's bearable. Jo-Mama -
Tuesday, 12 Feb Sounds like you've had a rough night. I hope you're feeling better today. I haven't felt anything like that. I hope you're ok! momto4and1tobe -
Monday, 11 Feb Yes, I have done this with all my pregnancies. I was on the heparin with my first pregnancy. Everything has always gone totally fine, so try not to worry too much. I still worry too though. I will try to write more later, but gotta run, ttyl! momto4and1tobe -
Monday, 11 Feb Hello! No, I don't have the same blood disorder as you, I have Factor IV Leiden Mutation. I will also be induced, but at 38 weeks, so you are going to beat me, lol! I am on lovenox, what are you on? I hate the burning shots and the bruising, which hasn't been as bad. My belly gets sore still though from the shots. I hope everything goes well for you. This is the most nervous I think I have been in any of my pregnancies. Maybe cause it is a girl this time! I am so excited though. Talk to you soon, stay in touch! lisar -
Monday, 11 Feb Thanks! I'm gonna drink up now and see if it helps! Jo-Mama -
Saturday, 9 Feb I was telling my sister about your cousin's story and she said the same thing happened to a friend of hers. She was devastated, but that was years ago now and she says she has never been so happy. Her son makes her laugh harder than anything and she never realized the joy there was in raising a special needs child. Things will be wonderful, even if it needs some time to sink in. Good luck!
