It's about time that I update my page here. I am a mother to a beauitful boy named Jack, who arrived 7 weeks early in February 2008. He is amazing and I love him and his father more than anything. I first came to this site when i was 6 weeks pregnant and found this site offered a lot of support from some amazing people. I'm so happy that we have a site like this so mothers to be and mothers can communicate from all parts of the world! I had an easy labour and delivery which was great. I was attending University and had a few months left of studying when.... my water spontaneously broke (as i was eating a valentines day cupcake) and was hurried to the hospital and put on bed rest for days. they didn't want to risk having me deliver early until I had recieved a full course of antibiotics and jack had received Steriods for his lungs. He was born at 4.1 and went down to 3.11 but we were able to take him home after 2 weeks. I managed to finish my degree and began working in September. I miss him like mad but I am a Drama teacher to some delightful students.

Saturday, 22 Dec HI there, how are you doing? I see you are a teacher too. I haven't been teaching since my son was born almost 17mths ago. The anterior placenta feels alot different from when i had a posterior one. The movements/kicks etc seem heaps duller. I started feeling little flutters at aroudn 16weeks, but the movements didn't really get intense until about 21/22wks. In my first pregnancy I felt stronger kicks a lots sooner. Also the other difference is I don't notice prolonged movement. If the baby goes into the middle of my tummy the feelings disappear for a bit, while he/she is behind the big soft cushion of my placenta. The movements are strong as now though and I wouldn't say it felt much different now, just those first 6weeks of movements. HOpe you are well, have a happy holidays angelamouzakitis -
Friday, 21 Dec I don't really fit into the pre-prego jeans..I use a maternity belt, but people still don't think I look pregnant, but they must obviously think i've gained wait. I've gained about 15 pounds, it just isn't going to the belly, so it isn't like i'm loving life...but I still can move around well so I'll take it. joyce85- -

Friday, 21 Dec Well it's a wisdom tooth that is infected, The dentist said the anesthesia they use to numb it during the surgery can cause you to have contractions and go into labor. So I really don't want to do that. She said they will refill the antibiotics if it comes back in another month but that it is best to wait until after the baby is born. But on the bright side the antibiotics are working now I can get a good nights sleep tonight. busymom -

Tuesday, 18 Dec well so far i tink i lost 14 pounds since our first dc visit she said i lost 2 pounds since we were last there and that was 2 wks ago. but she was happy only cause i am over weight now so they want me to lose instead of gain. but baby is fine. so if doc says its ok and baby is fine and you are not havng any problems then dont worry ashleygray -

Monday, 17 Dec Glad to hear it is better. :) I've been a little more stable too, haha! Congratulations by the way, on your soon to be bundle of joy! mommymelzy -
Monday, 17 Dec yea they put it in the report...but the technician and the radiologist both have to agree on the gender before they will put it on the report. So they don't always do it unless they are confident enough for the parents to find out. Were having a girl!! mommymelzy -
Monday, 17 Dec okies!! angelamouzakitis -
Monday, 17 Dec That must be difficult...we didn't have things work out perfectly (we did in vitro) and it took us forever, but I think that for both of us, and our parents, the baby popping its little head head will appease a lot of concerns. angelamouzakitis -
Monday, 17 Dec The calmness might be from my husband too. He is kind of like a wife in that he does everything around the house and does his best to sacrifice whatever I have to, so I don't feel alone in it. Also, I've gained about eleven pounds. I think that for a lot of women, it might be that the weight gain adds to the insanity (the times I feel most insane is when I'm getting dressed to meet friends out and I destroy my room. Monday, 17 Dec It's really nice to know other people are missing their old social lives like I am. It's a big adjustment but I'm sure we'll get through it! Good luck to you! momoffive -

Friday, 14 Dec Thanks for your response, i am definitely going for the epidural too, I'm just worried that my water will break at home and I won't know it broke, if it just trickles out or something! How is your pregnancy going for you? Congrats by the way!!! When do you gfind out what you are having? momoffive -
Friday, 14 Dec I would by no means call myself an expert but I am VERY experienced in mothering for sure. I'm the oldest of 6 children, started babysitting at 12 and worked in daycare for about 3 years in toddler classes...on top of that I have numerouse children in my home at all times. Needless to say, although frazzeling, I love having children around me! After being pregnant four times now, there are not many questions I have not asked my own dr. or pediatrician and can answer a lot based on my experience. Feel free to ask anything....even just venting about pregnancy blues or aches and pains. I'm a huge weeny when I'm pregnant so will never say to suck it up :-)
